You are definitely making me want to go out buy another Corvette. We have a C6 and C7. That color is awesome love it. That color or amplify orange love it!!!!!
Not bad, nice ride, a few tips though... use a power washer for washing off and soap application. ALWAYS start washing from top to bottom/roof then work ur way down. 1st foam cannon coat, ALWAYS rinse it off before you take a hand mitt to it, then foam cannon it again. Im a perfectionist as well when it comes to my cars off the lot, after its ceramic coated and wrapped, i have a service come out and wash the cars. Let me know if you need further explanation for my suggestions. Enjoy the c8! I should have a c8 z06 by end of next year!
I would imagine the smudge marks and scratches came from the car cover during transportation. Adam’s micro, cordless polisher does really well on the smaller area so you stay off the edges and creases.
Awesome awesome great job you are meticulous but you should be with an automobile such as the c8 and that beautiful color I wasn't big on the c8 the first couple of times I saw it but it is growing on me especially with this type of video very special car American muscle it's beautiful very much an attention getter I just wish they had put the tailpipes together as for in the middle I see they done that with the c8 ZO6 but either way awesome car once again great job 👍💪😎🇺🇲
Thanks for the video! Where are you located? I have a C8 coming in a few months so the top on them not touching it is great advice. Mine will be black so it’s really important I get off on the right step.
I'm looking to polish my c8. Would a 5 inch polisher be okay for it? I was thinking of getting a 3 inch to do the whole car because it has so many curves and angles.
Hey Chris! Just found your channel and I have been going through a bunch of your videos. I share the car passion and love that you are in Minnesota! What part are you in? I'm in Lakeville. I would love to pick your brain as I just picked up my first vette and am trying to figure out if I'm doing PPF or just ceramic coat or what. She has the dual racing stripes and I'm worried what it will look like doing the PPF over the top. I'd love your advice and also where you get yours done. Would love to chat at some point
I’m In that area as well. Solar shield is local to us and does a really nice job. Wish the c8 stripes were painted and not decals because there is potential issues with the area that the stripes meet the paint. But the protection of the clear wrap outweighs any pros of ceramic in my opinion. You really can’t tell all that much on this c8 that it’s even wrapped but there are a few areas that are not perfect because of that sticker. Hopefully that all makes sense. I did see a fresh white c8 driving around about an hour ago, that you?
@@PaFurGarage I wish that was me but no, I went with the last year manual. Picked up a 2019 M7 Z06 in Sebring orange. 6300 miles, one owner from Florida. I do have a work friend that lives down this way with a white C8 so I bet that's Bob. Do you ever do ceramic coating over your PPF? I've used clear bra before but I've never done ceramic. I see some people on the vette forums doing ceramic over PPF. I'm watching your ZR1 washing video now. Such a sick car
@@firulice4 oh nice choice! I miss my 2016 Z06. So what I do is more of an easy or lazy way of ceramic coating. Adam’s has a spray coating that’s very similar to ceramic without being a true ceramic. The time / effort needed into applying is much less in addition to how long it lasts. However if you apply it as a drying aid when you wash, it layers on and works I think just as well. Especially if you allow it 4+ hours of curing. Some people ceramic coat their cars and think that they’re done when in reality it is something that does break down. Sure it takes a number of years depending on how proper it’s being washed but if you wash it consistently and use this spray coating… it’s very similar. I highly recommend the PPF route as it will surely last longer and protect more over a true ceramic coating and coating the film with a real ceramic or the quick spray ceramic.
@@PaFurGarage thanks Chris. I'll check out the Adams. You know how fun the brake dust can be on the Z06 so a ceramic on the wheels would be really nice. I'll call solar shield tomorrow for a quote. I have used tint pros several times and got a quote last week from Midwest clearbra a well. I'm thinking maybe I'm better off removing the stripes, then doing PPF, then put the stinger and roof stripe on after. It all just adds up so fast but I'm paranoid to drive her without the protection as she's in really good shape right now. Decisions Decisions...
Great video... especially for people like me who haven't (properly) hand washed a car in many years. Have you considered registering with Amazon (or other 3rd party sellers if you prefer) and linking all of the products and equipment you use? I haven't taken delivery of my C8 yet but will be buying product and equipment when I do. I'd be happy to buy stuff through your video if you decide to take that route. Also, I have a quick question: Do you think screen inserts are necessary for the front air intakes? It seems to me that stuff is going to collect on the screens just as much as the existing intakes so I'm curious as to your opinion (or others) for the need for the after market screens. Thanks again!
Thanks for the comment! I’ll look into that store idea but it’s mostly Adam’s Polishes. I wouldn’t think the inserts are necessary. Just have to maintain it and remove any debris that collects.
man mine came in and I put it into my garage and im looking at it and im like what the fuck man this thing is scratched to all hell! i cant wait to get it buffed out in the spring.
We're very interested in your channel! We has a brand new wall-mounted pressure washer to be released. We are thinking if we could have a chance to collaborate to this new product.Hope get your reply!
The amount of scratches on a brand new car is astonishing. Thank goodness you were able the bleeding. I’m sure you will have it looking perfect!
Awesome color! I enjoy hand washing my beautiful machine and admire it.. I love how installation of C8 Stat Victor racing wing came out.
It certainly helps to have the right tools for the job. I’d like to see more about exactly what you use. Cheers!
I completely understand! I have them even leave the plastic on the vehicle… mine get corrected and ceramic coated immediately… 9H

A great job! Clearly, as soon as you take it out, then cometh the dust again.

Two 👍 👍 's up. Ohh See De-tailed great interpretation.
I too understand what he is all about. My C7 and both my C8s got royal treatment with Xpell and ceramic coating by The Cleanup Shop
I'm not a fan of red but that red mist and black is stunning. I went with artic white and black with carbon fiber on my 23 C8
The red metallic tint coat looks amazing in the sun. Cheers!
Looks freaking awesome!
Im in love with corvettes &
Victor Racing parts for vettes, you need to check them out!
Like you I hate those unnecessary scratches on a new car.

Nice, enjoy!! I am in Minnesota
That's some awesome and lasting foam you laid down. What brand and how many ounces did you use in your foam cannon?
This was Adam's Mega Foam. Not sure how many OZ it was but about 1/4" in the MTM Foam Canon. If I had to guess... 3-4 OZ.
Kick panel scuff guards?
I'm guessing you are a Matt Moreman follower...! 🤣 He hates Corvettes, but he sure nows how to turn a car wash into a enjoyable event.
Haha yeah I used to watch him a lot. He knows his stuff!
You are amazing! Thinking of bringing my C8 to you from Chicago… how many days does this take you?
I just do this as a hobby but this was a 1 day job
I'm looking to polish my c8. Would a 5 inch polisher be okay for it? I was thinking of getting a 3 inch to do the whole car because it has so many curves and angles.
I’m doing a black c8 right now, and same little scratches everywhere…typical one step procedure did nothing lol…
what phone did u use to record this, it looks amazing !!! watching this to manifest cleaning my future corvette lol
I used a Sony AX700 4K camcorder. Thanks for watching!!
Crocs with socks?! Nooooo! LOL! 😂😂😂
It’s a lifestyle! Haha!

It’s too bad dealerships hire employees who don’t have the care they should when handling cars like that

Suggest removing the license plate. Clay bar first?
Only clay if it’s really needed
My ears just got murdered from that rupes turning on over my car audio😂
Red Mist
Is this a z51 convert? Who's putting on the clear bra?
Indeed it is! Solar Shield did the clear bra for us. 3 days total to get it done.
@@PaFurGarage How much of the car did you get covered?
It needs paint correction. This is done on airplanes.
36:52. For real.
Was not surprised by the results of that game either, ha!
I have to be honest. I’ve never come by a new car with so many scratches… ridiculous
