reed has one dunk on the year his ceiling is no where near kirk enrich wtf he cant take sec talent off the dribble at all hes a spot up shooter someone is gonna draft this guy too high and its gonna hurt his career this guy can not take over a game completely
I like the way he plays and think he can be a good pro, but that’s about it. I don’t see a HoF player or many if any all star appearances. But he will be a serviceable player, a glue guy on a team that’s already stable and could groom a solid, young bench player, spot starter.
I’m with a lot of you guys. I have no idea what his ceiling is…. He’s obviously a fantastic college player…. His shooting ability and basketball IQ is off the charts, and He’s legit on defense… in college at least. And I hear y’all saying he can’t shoot of the dribble at all…. but I’ve seen him do it. He doesn’t do it very much, but when he does it’s butter. and anyways how much does that really matter? He only needs an inch of space to splash highly contested shots from DEEP. And if he can’t, what about Klay Thompson? He’s proof you don’t need to shoot off the dribble to be an elite player. What was that stat line? 60 points in 29 minutes with like 9 dribbles right? And saying he’s not athletic is disingenuous. He’s definitely more athletic than a guys like Jalen Brunson, CJ McCullem, or Fred Van Vleet. He dunks it with ease even if it doesn’t happen often. I’ve never seen those guys dunk except CJ ever. Not to mention he’s taller, well same height as CJ at least, I’m a die hard Jayhawk fan, so I’m a huge Kirk fan. And I do see some similarities in their games. Kirk had elite speed and quickness, but Reed is more explosive vertically for sure. And I see some Stockton in him as far as IQ and defense. So honestly I’m just asking what y’all think. I saw another Kentucky 6th man get drafted in the lottery for shooting basically just catch and shoot 3’s….. and his name is Devin Booker. So I honestly have NO idea! What’s his ceiling? Jalen Brunson, Fred Van Vleet, John Stockton, Kirk Hinrich, or just a guy like TJ McConnell or Payton Pritchard lol? Or is he another Jimmer? I have no idea how his game will translate to the NBA. But in such a weak draft, Is he worthy of being a top 5 pick? He might be. Y’all tell me what you think.
His release isn't as fast as Curry's but the size/shooting is reminiscent. He also reminds me a little of Stockton with the quick hands getting steals.

@richardhead471no he wasn’t watch some of Kentucky’s games and you’ll see Reed throw down some power dunks. Which are rare for a 6’3 guy

Yea this guy can be a future star extremely high basketball iq, elite shooter, and is also a great defender.
