  • Welcome to Season 2! In this episode, we take a tour of the new Armadillo trailer factory. Come along as we see how these cute, little but spacious, travel trailers are built and learn a little about the company's vision. And our thumbnail artwork? It's a limited edition, original piece from local artist Sassan Filsoof! Please check him out through the link below.

    Hi!
    We’re Frank and Janet and this is Frank and Janet’s Adventures. Travelling when we can in our 2019 R-pod travel trailer “Manfred von R-pod" and our 2019 Nissan Frontier we call “Frannie”. It’s our small adventure rig.
    Not all our adventures are epic. In fact, most are life in general type outings. We like to hike, bike, and kayak. Frank is roadie cyclist and I’m a group fitness instructor. We both still work so we try to get in an adventure when we can.
    This whole TH-cam thing is new to us so we hope you’ll find some entertaining moments (there’s bound to be a few!) and even some educational things you might find interesting. We certainly aren’t going to be posting every week but we will post once a month. So, we’d really appreciate it if you’d subscribe to our channel and if you click the bell icon, you’ll get notified when our next video is out.
    Thanks so much! We’ll see you soon.

    I just love the Armadillo. If I get to a point to downsize that small my next purchase will be the Armadillo. Just beautiful!

    Very expensive per square ft of living space, but the reality of having quality craftsmanship, materials and fit and finish costs money. I'm sure there's a nitch in the market for that with people willing to pay for this kind of quality. You get what you pay for. The resale and value retention will be phenomenal on these trailers. I wish them much success.

    I am curious where the chassis and especially the shell comes from? How does the top get mated to the bottom and attached to the chassis? I wonder how the mold was made or did it come from a previous egg trailer manufacturer? thanks

    • @frankandjanetsadventures
      @frankandjanetsadventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Kevin. Thanks for watching. Jason buys the chassis from another manufacturer, built to spec. The shell molds are Jason's design and built on site. We weren't able to show the fiberglass portion of the plant but its all done on site. It's a two piece design, top and bottom that are then joined together. I encourage you to message Armadillo directly for more detailed information.👋🇨🇦

    The price is pretty high even considering that this is a vastly improved version of the boler. Scamp costs a little less, but the workmanship on the scamp is just not as good as this one.
