Building colin furze Petrol Mobility Scooter in my Garage. Build and test runs.

Building a petrol mobility scooter and changed plans after watching colinfurze.com video to copy his. I decided to show what tools I had and which bits were tricky. I didn't have a mill and am average at best at welding.

Started upgrading my quingo plus 8mph to a hybrid wih a new Honda 196 cc gx160 4 stroke

How did you get on with keyway for the wheels on the rear axle? Looks great build and I'm planning one myself after watching Collins and yours videos

Wasn't that hard, just took a while. Used an angle grinder, with the perfect width blade and cleaned it up with a Dremel. Modified the key to fit, rather than the other way round. Getting the hole drilled centrally for the bolt was harder, but doesn't matter if it's off anyway really.

@@cashmax thanks for the reply mate. How long do you recon it took you to build?

@@MDW893 Well I did it bit by bit when I had the time, took a couple of weeks, ordering bits as I needed them. If I had all the bit at the start and locked myself in my garage it could be done in a weekend I would think. Axle takes a while with aligning, cutting keyways and taping thread in each end and engine position needs careful working out with disc & sprocket positions, the rest is pretty simple.

@@cashmax thanks for the replys mate, really appreciate it. Just on the lookout for a cheap mobility scooter, quite hard to find a cheap one. Been keeping an eye on ebay for spares or repairs ones

Is this just as fast as Colin Furzes ? which does around 80+ mph (I think!!!) So, if this about the same how about racing Colin on his against yours. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤭😁😉 for the sake of a bit of fun.
