It's almost undrivable completely on 3s now. But since you have the losi, this might come in handy for you, my gearing here is only slightly taller than the losi 22s stock gearing. The losi runs a 16t pinion to an 84t spur. I'm running A 18t pinion to an 81t spur. I'm told anything over 21t makes it cog which makes sense since it is such a high Kv sensorless system. But, I'm considering trying a 23t pinion to an 81t and then an 87t spur. My theory is that by increasing the size of the spur gear it might limit or eliminate cogging with a 23t pinion. I think 23/87 would be a nasty combination for speed and acceleration. I guess we'll find out soon.
@Rek RC I don't know about I'm not even really sure witch one I want make faster and I need more practice with the 2wd and I got a couple projects I need to finish up
I knew it would be faster, but I wasn't prepared for how much faster it was really going to be. Totally crazy car it is now. I'll have to re-learn how to drive it all over again.
Those performance analyzers are so nice! My friend was showing me how much more quickly they refresh than the Meilan Mini GPS that we run. If you run them both in the car at the same time and hit the brakes when accelerating hard the speed difference can be really big (as the Meilan GPS will refresh much slower).
I actually meant to measure them against each other on top speed, I had the meilan with me, but I forgot. I do want to do a video like that though, not to boost up the gnss, but to show just how accurate the meilan is at top speed measurement for how cheap it is. It's still the best for the money for me if you just want speed runs.
You did great. I like how well covered everything. I have the same analyzer as you but have not really used it much other than in track mode. If you would have been in flight mode you could have measured the altitude of your dirty DR10 when it launched on the last run. ha ha ... Tado did a great job setting up drag lighting system. Very impressive. 👍👍
Thank you as always sir. Tado really is awesome. The whole racing event will be mostly because of the effort he is putting into making the timing system literally from scratch. All I have to do is make the car fast within the boundary of basic rules. Which, I just put up a short of it running in the 2.6 range. There is a lot of tuning left to do but all easy stuff that can be done for no more than 20 dollars or less at this point.
It's tempting, but I still haven't topped it out on 3s with the gearing it has. But, for RTR class racing it's totally ready to go. I can usually get 2.5 to 2.7 second passes consistently now on 2s, but it took a lot of wipe outs to get it all tuned in correctly.
I just got one od these dr10 kits for about 90$ and i am using that same motor and speed controller. Mine came as a kit, everything in parts, no body... but i feel like i got an awesome price for it. A little worried that my motor is too big
In this video I dropped it down to a 20T for that system, but for racing, I think an 18 or 19t is just right. Plenty of grunt on the launch and you can just about max out by the end of the strip.
That thing is a monster now Great timing system

@@Rek_Rc Thanks for the info much appreciated
@@ThompsonRc I figured you'll have yours doing 100 MPH before I can even get a clean 3s pass with mine without flipping it hahaha

She wanted to fly lol! it was great man. awesome new electrics.

@@Rek_Rc yeah for the price I really like it!

I am building delay boxes for drag cars as my second job and all of those started with my boss and a bread board.
That was crazy power 😮 awesome 👌 think you need those tires that dont balloon, what are they called, ribbed or something 🤔 new buggy looks great 😀😀👍👍👍
You made a monster bro!!! We need to network an swap some specs!
The specs in this case are easy. Spectrum firma 100a 6500Kv running 18t pinion to and 81t spur. I might go a little taller yet as well.
Nice vid bro!!
Thank you Sir!
Gear that thing UP!

You need some hoons or some gone bananas foams. Even gluing those they’re gonna balloon badly
Yep I was thinking hoons would be a good practice tire too. Drag tires would be great but they just wear out so fast so I'll save them for race day.

If it's the same motor I'm using at the end of this video, it should be just fine
My upgraded senton boost can do 39.9 on 2S and I have the same 6500 KV system for my vendetta
A vendetta is already so fast, I can't imagine what it must be like running that system in it
If I can find someone to race I will definitely get one of these cars
Dang If you weren't so far away it would be awesome to have you at the racing event! But yeah, finding people to race casually is hard.
Hey what’s the stingers wheelbase compared to the dr10? Trying to figure out what bodies I might be able to make work on the stinger
I'll take a measure tomorrow and get back to you. I think I forgot to do that before
The width is pretty much the same but the stinger wheel base is about 3/4 of an inch shorter
That’s crazy that it beat your yellow car nd the power increase is just ridiculous
It really is crazy because the stinger is a 60mph capable car now too running the BLX system out of an Arrma senton.
Hey mate, what gearing where you running with the 6500kv?
In this video I dropped it down to a 20T for that system, but for racing, I think an 18 or 19t is just right. Plenty of grunt on the launch and you can just about max out by the end of the strip.
Love the vids bro, but should have gone tp
It wouldn’t be Rek Rc if didn’t wreck it once
Hahahaha , you're quite right and I appreciate you noticing that.
