You like that old McCulloch, it seems to cut pretty good. Some of those old saws cut pretty well for the technology of the day. That one sure seems to eat up that big stuff. Probably makes your hands numb in a short time.Nice of you guys to help out his father. I am getting old and any help is much appreciated.
The old mcculloch does make hands go numb. Used it a few times throughout the day. Dad was super happy with what we got done. He will tinker with splitting what we didnt get done.
Great bucking session 👍 There were a lot of gnarly, knotted logs there. Good to see all of the different brands/models of chainsaws running 😊 Good video
Does your Dad have a wood boiler also? He sure has been busy gathering up the logs, and that will make for a lot of firewood. I am sure you had hours of video footage that was edited down to an hour. I enjoy the parts that are not sped up and can actually hear the saws working better myself. Isn't it time to lean the Purple Wonder out and see what it can really do yet? A big thumbs up 👍 to Gavin for hanging right with all of you and being patient waiting on the saw to do the work!! Thanks for sharing...
Ya, there was a lot of footage. I contemplated making it into 2 videos. We all had fun doing it. Pinkway will be getting leaned out now. If it dies it dies. Dad has a wood burner in the shop no boiler.
@BertsCustomCuts Your Dad should be good for several years on firewood then! No need to blow it up just yet! Does it have the stops on carb adjustments so it can't be leaned to much? If so...they may still need to be removed to ever get it running right. It is definitely running phat at the moment...
Lots of wood to cut and rip ready for splitting 😊 The Mcculloch chainsaw is working great on those thick trunks Bert😊 Great job guys, but there’s more😊
The big stuff will get split down with the skidsteer splitter. There was some junk wood in a pile to get put onto burn pile, and there was a pile of saw logs as well.
You guys went to town cutting up a lot of wood. That McColloch sure seemed pretty strong Bert. I can’t remember I think you said it is a 750? Great to see them out and running. A lot of work cutting but well appreciated. The grapple on the Gehl, do you have any info on it? Great video.
Are those chainsaw pants the guy the what looks like an Old McCullough chainsaw at the start of the video? How are they different in the protection they offer versus regular chappes? Did they come with suspenders attached? How well do they breathe on a hot day? On a hot day I take my chappes off when not running the saw to keep cool.
@@BertsCustomCuts CLogger Zero is the lightest I have found, and they are still hot.🤨 Best solution is only cutting when it's between 30-50F.😉😁15-30F is not bad either just need to keep moving.

That old McCulloch may not be the best looking saw, but sure is the best sounding saw.
It does sound amazing

Glad you enjoyed it

@@BertsCustomCuts Bert, yeah forgot about the skid steer splitter😁🇦🇺
@rickthelian2215 I still have another video to edit from that day busting bigger stuff down.
Now that was some firewood carnage. Tough part comes up though ... splitting and stacking. Great to see you're helping your dad out.
His plan is to stack what we split this week and slowly work on pile of oak for next year. Mabey, we will take the Ultra ot and split again.
Ahhhhh... my favorite saw of the family came out to play, the Pinkway! I love seeing an underdog of a chainsaw making firewood.
I love the saw it's fun every time I start it
@@Gavin_outdoors331 I have a similar Zenoah clone saw, the Neo-Tec NSC5800. Would be fun to race them and compare how they feel with each other.
@thefirewooddoctor it would be fun but I think they would be a pretty close comparison
It's a fun little saw to run. Cuts better with shorter bar and a real chain on it.
Great job Bert and a great crew have a wonderful weekend
Thanks it was a lot of fun.
Great video!! Lots of carnage in the woodyard. Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Thanks! Will do!
“Many hands make light work.”
They sure do.
Great job to all of you 👍🏼. Your parents are very lucky, Bert.
Thanks. The key is we did have fun doing it.
An old Mac saw very popular hear after hurricane hazel in 1954 in NC
It's a great saw just parts are hard to find. I'll use it till it breaks again then retire it to the shop wall.
Even had the purple power out!
Yea it didn't blow up and I ran 14 tanks of fuel through it
@@Gavin_outdoors331 nicely done. That's a lot of cutting for any saw
It's not a bad saw. Think the fuel tank is small or it has a drinking problem.
Great day to be chainsaw junkies. Grab boom on the Gehl looks handy.
It was a little warm that day.
Your dad has a great place 😊
It was a little muddy camping out there this weekend when we got over 2in of rain.
The pinkway didn't blow up its doing good and that was a great day of fun
Glad you're still having fun buddy.
That is a nice old saw.
It will be used occasionally now that it's fixed. I like the sound of it.
@@BertsCustomCuts I used to a 6-10. But the recoil was on the bar side and it broke.

The grapple boom does work good. I dont remember info on it. I still have some footage with it to edit yet

The pants are a little warm. The suspenders are an add on. I'm looking into a more breathable cutting pants for in hot weather.

Thanks
🎉👍
Thanks for watching
What type of wood i missed that part thanks
The bigger pile was all oak and the smaller pile was a mix of ash boxelder maple elm and cottonwood
