I played it on PS4, got to ride a dragon, and figured it wasn't going to get any better than that. I mean c'mon, I'm riding a dragon. Lol. But I tried it on the Switch as well, and quickly remembered why I loved it so much. So this time, I'm going to try to finish it, extra content included. It's really that good. The only thing I feel I should mention is the humor. If you like it, the game is a masterpiece. If you don't like it... there's jokes everywhere all the time, so it can quickly be annoying if you don't like it. Fortunately for me, I love it.

I never played the first game, but got Maxima on my PS4. I play the Jp versions and didn''t really have any issues with the voice acting, but found the game overall quite easy for an FF
game is on sale right now for $20. sale ends in 3 days if anyone interested. im a fan of the series but thought $40 was too much for it so left it alone and decided to get 7-9. if it was a new release then yeah id buy it for the price but nope its just a port. now that its on sale again i bought it. watched backgroundguy on twitch play it and it looks pretty good but still thought about if should get it or not. my final decision was to buy it after watching this video. i really wish they would port over ff6 cause to me its the best in the series next to 9. i dont want the crappy mobile textures tho i just want a 4:3 aspect ratio with upscaling is this too much to ask for? maybe add an option for widescreen support or hell make it 4:3, move the game screen to the left side and have a live world map on the right. as long as it stays close to the original im happy. they could of done this with 7 and 8 but nope we only get an ugly black border. in 8 instead of a map on the right give us chocobo world. at least with 9 they gave us a gray one and its a decent mobile port just loading times need improving

Yhellow :D well I’ll be honest you will like it more if you know the series with its characters from across the series and references. That said you can enjoy the gameplay and the story is pretty much separate from the main series so there won’t be too much confusion. Heck if you play a final fantasy game like 7 or 10 you may like it more. If you like the gameplay (which ps4 had a demo but don’t think switch did) then I say go for it, there is a good deal going on and when you know it’s good you take it.
FF8 hasn't been announced for the switch. There are a lot of good final fantasy games coming or are on the switch like 9 but I say pretty much all of them are good for a start... Maybe not 12 seeing it doesn't have gameplay like the others but any of the other numbered titles and world seem like a good start.
speaking from my own experience, I actually find them less enjoyable because I know their original incarnations and there's some major differences between them. like in dissidia, 75% of the characters' personalities are adapted for no good reason. so to me, it's actually better if you don't know the source material. they explain a lot anyway.

Yes, you can. Anyone who had Champion Medals in the original are playable in this game. Tifa, Yuna, Tidus, Cloud, Squall, Lightning, etc. You can buy them as Champion Jewels from the Girl's Tearoom just like you can the Medals.
It’s not the only game that’s known to lag the Switch UI while running. It’ll probably get a patch but nevertheless, I’ll stick with my Vita physical copy. I might have double dipped but SE are too cheap to put the game on a Switch cartridge. Shame!
Can't get over the pirate ship fight you need to lose. I get that the enemy is one of the important characters, but you lose in a danger zone... and it's against a pirate (pirates kill/steal/etc.)... so we should get a game over. This broke the rules of the game for absolutely no reason. Was the message: stealing is bad? Cause in that case... who teaches that lesson to the pirates?
I'm having a little regret of buying the PC port last year now that Maxima exists. But not a whole lot. I still enjoyed the game. Once I have a Switch (which will probably be in around 2 years, since I don't really need one now), I can see myself getting Maxima.
I mean the concept sounds cool but the monsters standing on each other's heads looks rediculous... Why do they make weird decisions like that with games. Wouldn't it be more fun to control the monster alone? What's this stacked up weird human monster thing?
This technicaly you have 2 groups of 3 members you can swap. The monster are then just pokemkn they have skill tree you can go through as you level them. The whole game looks "cute" so stacking on top of each other make sense.. also on sale right now 14.99

Just stated playing it today. Im very dissapointed.. so far it has been 90% movie. 10% play. If you dont like the long movies in ff12 then you wont like this because theres way more.

Yeah, Sadly. It was a limited time DLC for KH 2.8 being released on PS4. It's stupid and reminds me of how Nintendo is making Super Mario 3D All Stars a limited release and how much I hate it when developers do that. Kingdom Hearts is as much a Final Fantasy game and should be celebrated as such and as such this should have been a permanent DLC.
it's more of a licensing issue, I'm sure. the original version of WoFF launched on Steam last year and that version did not get Sora either. So we can just think of it as a PlayStation exclusive.
@@angeldiaz762 how would Sora be a licensing issue with a company that created him as an original character? If it were Mickey Mouse then I could see licensing being in the way. But it's like saying they couldn't put Aerith is the game because of licensing; Cloud is in the game and Sephiroth.
