      Fictional Public Figure I disagree with you a little bit. At the time this record came out, everyone heard the hype about these kids from Philly making bangers. In my humble opinion their lyrics/production was ahead of its time. Ask any rapper from that day and they'll acknowledge Jedi Mind regardless of conspiracy raps and everything else. But ya their lyrics were so vicious and vivid that it couldn't get radio spins. They could've blown up but decided to make what they wanted. Thats why i believe Stoupe is one of the greatest producers period

    • @fictionalpublicfigure4279
      @fictionalpublicfigure4279 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Oh right on I kinda disagree too :D. Back then all the hype was all about the Ying Yang twins and Lil Jon and 50 cent and Lil Bow Wow type of shit lol. I agree that Stoupe is one of the best ever and agree that the lyrics are too vicious and revolutionary for the radio. I agree they were and still are ahead of their time, although some of the tracks are dithered with a little too much noise to me. The lyrical content and the beat melodies and rhythm are what really strike me as unprecedented and amazing, but the audio quality itself I think could be better. Even back then i feel like not enough people were meant to hear it because the masses needed that "to the window to the wall" joint. Like a wise graffiti artist once tagged, "the seeds of revolution are too busy on their cell phones". I feel like this didn't revolutionize the industry solely because people want to be distracted and turnt instead of actually spend time thinking and debating.

    • @johnlansing14
      @johnlansing14 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Fictional Public Figure We both have a very good idea of what real music should entail. I just wish kids these days knew about this shit. Even their new album was terrific in my opinion. I may have a little bias cus I'm living near philly and have always pulled for them. I'm honestly glad Vinnie kept it real through it all.

      That's the shit in the middle of a beat that can make or break a motherfucker. Sure you can just can ghost that shit and pause... or you can step up and find a little alliteration or control your breathing and find a balance between heartbeats and the preceding. It isn't easy to adjust like that, but if you can consistently do it...

    One of my ALL time favorites. I was in Miami across from the airport in a wearhouse with the first hydro system. The police ( cubans, were the police, loyal to our government). I say first because they didn't know flood fill or nft systems yet. They took our lineage. I did my (time). We had Jedi mind tricks and conspiracy drawings ALL over and at the time I have a five gallon pail of white paint to cover it all up.. but before I could get the paint in the building the police (undercover). Grab me at the front door and I was never able to cover up what they saw and now they have pictures and documents. I ended up facing 15 years and realized how corrupt the government really is. The government throws people in prison for stealing. Yet the government is the king of stealing
