I listen to vinnie since i was 16 and now being 31 i still love this music. It is so deep and i think not many people really feel what he is saying. So much ♥️
I feel the same g❤️
#metoo
exactly same... jmt for ever
Probably not most, but I think the people who do feel it are here...
The truth right there.
"I don't wanna leave my mother behind, i don't want for her to cry because the struggle is mine"
THIS IS THE MOST HUMAN SONG MADE BY JEDI MIND TRICKS!
A CLASSIC!
I dont want for her to grind no more
I dont want for her to work a 9 til 5 no more
@Crow Sword I'm on it.
@Crow Sword (he deleted his comment. 🤭) Pretty dope, a 90s record I ain't ever heard. Sampling it now.
@Crow Sword My bad, I was thinking of Sunz Of Man album because I been going crazy. But yeah, that song was dope.
@Crow Sword nothing wrong with deleting comments, beast. Sometimes you got to say face when you realize you were drunk when you wrote that shit. 👍
One of the better tracks of all time. Think I started listening to this about 15 years ago when I was 17. Awesome.
That's crazy. I was 19. This was my shit. I remember the first time I heard Heavenly Divine. I must've been 14. Crazy how far rap has come. Do they make music like this anymore?
@@orpheus6547 I'm 19 listening to this bro lol my dad always been a fan of JMT this music is timeless my generation don't make music like this
@@Al-TariqJohnson 🤕🤕 16 rite here, been listening for a long while. Sad i got no friends to listen wth
This is real hip hop
"I dont wanna be a burden to ya'll, I just wanna know exactly what my purpose is for"
goddamn...
Shit hits so hard
wow. was listening to this song when i was 18, what an emotional wreck i was, nothing had any sense, fresh outta high school thrown in this cruel cruel world all alone, all i was looking for was a some kind of hope, true human connection, but the people were so cold, lost.. it was soul crushing seeing the world as it is for the first time with my own eyes.
I'm 26 now and what i've realised over the years that no matter how bad the situation is, it'll always get better, and no matter how good your situation is it'll always get worse at some point... that's the beauty of life, duality, you must have both in your life to learn.
So stay strong, and NEVER give up, once the emotional storm is over, and it will be without exception, you'll appreciate sunny days better.
Love to all the people who are struggling, peace.
yeah, i ve heard of him, i ve been watching hes speaches. very wise man.
I feel you. I got into JMT after doing a 5 year stretch. Found some sanity in these bars.
GrIngoo2011 I hope you are right..
damn bro i am u at 18 rn i feel like this right now......
lol and i just turned 18 too i dont understand why im realizing all these things ive known since i was younger like ive known the world was like this for awhile but idk something about being this age just makes u feel it even harder
all my adult life has been a wreck. one struggle to the next. i definitely feel these lyrics. from anger loss self pity and alcoholism. i guess me and vinny and i have a lot in common. peace vinny
Vinnie is the illest guy to touch the mic, but pay respect for our guy Stoupe - just insanely talented beatmaker
13 years old listening to this now I'm bout to be 22 Ilove coming back to my underground roots... it's still apart of me
I was young too listening to this with my father now I’m almost 19
I was 22 when I heard this when it came out. I am 37 nearly 38 now, man this shit still is incredible.
@@roygherbil3276💯💯💯💯
15 years and still brings tears to my eyes.. so many memoires attached to this album.
Vinnie paz so underrated such a great rapper right up there with the legends If you ask me much respect for jedi mind tricks
Vinnie is simply one of my favorite artists of all time. The way he conveys emotion so accurately continues to astound me. Much Love.
man this song never gets old i feel this shit deep man
too dope
bob jones truth
🙅🏿♂️Never 🕊🎶🔥🔥
Real hip-hop. Real poetry. This song is amazing
"The struggle is mine" and we each have our own universe of issues to deal with (past, present, future, potential, reality, limitations, society, and fitting in enough to be successful yet maintaining your soul true). Be happy no matter what because life is a blessing and it could always be worse.
Thank you for your support.
its 2021 and I still got you. Vinnie specifically has hit deep, he's probably my favorite artist ever.
@@seangreen3842 No doubt brother! JMT Forever!!
This record saved my life at 14 years old. 15 years later, it divinely intervened again. Thank u JMT 🥀
2021 support you like a wonder bra,
It's no wonder, brah.
2024 and still going!! Man these goosebumps! Been 15 years ago since I started listening and still do till this day!
Seriously, I cried to this one.
Vinnie got a voice that you can feel is emotion, and this story hits me.
One of the best song I've ever heard and i listen mainly to rock..
Everything i love has turned into a tedious task
Life is a series of unfinished tasks bro....even wen we die,,,....,,,,,,we still have stuff that wasn't finished......so, we leave it to our family.......
I wrote a verse which was directly related to this.

My movie and my movie 3
"Razorblade Salvation" is a good follow-up for anyone that's stuck in that personal purgatory.
youre right, after that i would suggest the features with Eamon, they are very personal 2
Razorblade salvation saved my life.
'Before the great collapse' is like a suicide note and 'Razorblade salvation' is the follow up of him not doing it, both great songs
Just did this in the opposite order but still lol (this after razorblade salvation)
"Beyond the great collapse." is the prequel to "Razorblade Salvation."
What an absolutely mindblowing album cover .. ❤
One of the most underrated songs ever
Nothing doesn't get any realer. Probably the closest song that could bring tears. It's a gift to have music like this
Top 3 JMT song. Type of song that can get you thru the hard times.
before the great collapse, razorblade salvation, the arms of angels , trail of lies , shadow business , is happiness just a word.
and this of course.
If I could just meet Vinnie Paz... He inspires me to do so much
One of the greatest songs ever created so much love vinnie!
Vinnie is my favourite rapper of all time hes saved my life i love this brother 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏, this dudes been through so much a real solider and his battle with stability is something i relate to so much and his intellect
gotta get my fix on JMT every few months. this music never dies. so good, still better then most of the music today..
This song has been with me throughout so much man honestly.
From a teen to an adult I still feel this song to my soul brings tears to my eyes every time...
Paz is a powerful MC when he speaks from the heart to his personal experience like this, wish he would do that more often
Yeah ive been listening for a hot minute ! 👍
Love how the fan base for JMT has grown. Back when this song first came out there weren't a lot of people listening to JMT. Now everyone in high school bumps them. The underground will never die.
[Hook]
Torn apart now
I cannot have this combination
And fusion of your elixir
Torn apart now
These are the choices we've made
Do I swallow or walk away?
[Verse 1: Vinnie Paz]
Yeah, most of my adult life I've been torn into two
If you love me, then I love you and this song is for you
It's tight hard when you know what you said
And your shorty seein' you as an emotional wreck
The closer I get, it's like the farther I feel
And my heart has turned into this heavy armor and steel
It's hard to be real, hard to listen to the dumb shit
And I take a lot of pills cause it numbs shit
I wish I had another path to follow
Wish that I could be a man and learn to pass the bottle
A graphic novel, my future a box or an urn
Havin' dreams about death, but I'm not that concerned
And I'm diseased, through the seasons they turn
Watchin' leaves from the trees turn disease and they burn
I'm eager to learn, but I'm holdin' my breath
And everyday alive is just another closer to death
[Hook:]
[Verse 2: Vinnie Paz]
Yeah, I've been alive longer then I expected to be
And took care of everything that's expected of me
Took care of my girl and my mother
I told her that I'm always here and I love her
I handle shit differently cause I'm grown now
And the truth is that I'd rather be alone now
I'd rather not have to deal with the day
And I hate when people ask me how I'm feelin' today
My brother Rasul, we had a beef and grudge
But we grew up together, cousin, so it's peace and love
I wish all the best, I wish all the shine
I wish I didn't wanna off my thoughts with a nine
I'm thoughtful and kind, but I'm evil alas
But everything I love has turned to a tedious task
I feel that life a waiting game for people to pass
But nobody ever want you to see through the mask
[Verse 3: Vinnie Paz]
Yeah, I don't wanna be a burden to y'all
I just wanna know exactly what my purpose is for
I feel like nothin' I do is ever right
And that I'm actin' a fool another night
And I admit, I don't take care of myself
So I do a lot of thinkin' and preparing myself
Cause the fact is my father died young and I might, too
And it ain't any way to tell what I might do
I don't wanna leave my mother behind
I don't want for her to cry, because the struggle is mine
I don't want for her to grind no more
I don't want for her to work a 9-to-5 no more
I ain't have to work a fuckin' 9-to-5 before
So I'm tryin' to get this money to provide for y'all
And if the shit ain't work out and I'm suddenly gone
Just remember that the motherfuckin' love isn't gone
Pazman
My best friend and I used to listen to these guys religiously and it's some of our best memories. He was a genius and knew so much about life, death and science but one morning he took a bad mixture of drugs, went hiking and never came back. It's crazy how fast a decade goes by.
+Lynx Ddp Lol and here we can observe a -yet another- wannabe rapper who writes their own version of the song's lyrics
+33ro0 No one asked for your opinion... Mind your own business.
+33ro0 shhhhh yo face
+33ro0 and who the fuck are you bitch? God people like you don't open your fucking mouths outside the internet cause you woulden't be walking boy.
+Lynx Ddp it's on the internet it's everyone's business, don't be a cry baby.
"I don't wanna leave my mother behind, I don't want for her to cry because the struggle is mine" reminds me of my only brother who died after a 37 year struggle last month. RIP big bro.
RIP bro
first listened to this song when back in 2009, five years gone by and I still love my jedi mind, toast to the gods!
Going back and finding these amazing samples, Stoupe is a god amongst men!
Paz is the real deal....this track is straight 🔥
Vinnie paz. Immortal technique and RA. 3 of the best in the game
This song is my heart. He saved the best for last on this album.
This isn't rap. This is a man teaching us that life sucks but we're all in the same boat. Keep pushing y'all💯
This was the first song I ever heard from Vinnie. I ended up downloading it my accident because of an Amorphis song I tried downloading back in the Limewire days. Best mistake I ever made.
ConformedSanity Ahh the "limewire days", man that brings me back. I fired up this really old laptop I have the other day and found that I still had Limewire on it lol.
+ConformedSanity Pretty sure the title of this song is a reference to Amorphis. Vinnie listens to quite a bit of metal.
Ahhh Limewire... Good ol' days
Lmao i played amophis by accident on spotify the other day instead of this😂
Vinnie is a metalhead so maybe this song is a tribute to them?
vinnie paz is just amazing, how his able to relate to people on a level most rappers cant....
Is Happiness just a word, was one of Vinnie's best songs
Vinnie Paz is real deal.
This song gets me at the heart man, no doubt, especially at the part, I don't wanna be a burden to y'all, I just wanna know exactly what my purpose is for....
I just discovered this song this week can't believe I slept on jmt for so long
my life day in and day out ...the holagram vinnie pazianza ...wise man
And if this shit ain't workout and I'm suddenly gone just remember that the mother Fuckin love isn't gone. Years go by and this song still gets to me
Why aren't there more rappers like Vinnie? He speaks the way it is and i respect how he's kept it real. Other rappers would of sold out by now
tbh he's the third greatest white rapper behind his buddy rugged man & ofcourse, the obvious one, shady.
You saved me bro💯 who knows what I would of done without this real human emotion savior of a song
this song helped me through so many hard times.. losing friends and family, growing up in general and just all the tribulations of growing up in a hard home. Thanks JMT
Been listening since day 1
People like to say hurt is the saddest song, but it's always been black winter day for me. I tear up everytime, just hits so close to home.
Priceless song.

This is a pretty good song... love the emotion behind it...
Wow an enormous amount of underground music dropped abiut ten years ago thats now bubbling back up with old and new fans following, it's very cool. Its also great to see rappers like Vinnie get the respect they truly deserve.
