@@bustabass9025 Aah, got it. Thanks. John actually wrote the song on my piano while he was house sitting for me. He originally named it for the street I lived on but Basie didn't like the name. John and I met in marching band and have been friends since our teens.
@@stephanienelson275 John was one of my influences for learning the upright bass. I was strictly an electric bassist for nearly forty years. Then I saw some of his learning resources, and the work he was doing with Ray Brown, his main influence, and I thought, "man, I gotta get me some o' dat!..." Beautiful tune Steph. He dunya good!😆
Wow. Again wow! I was looking for the guitar version to play it myself and I've found something else. Love
The piano is now a guitar .. brilliant
all I can say is wow.
Can't get enough of this kind of stuff. It is so engaging and fun.
You'd have to be there.... Awesome
amazing connection between those two musicians!
Brothers first, musicians second. That's the way it works. That vibe always trumps everything else.
@@bustabass9025 Well, they aren't brothers, they are father and son! And this song was written for me in the 70s by Daddy-O there.

"Brothers" in a colloquial sense, not as a fraternal kinship, Steph.😘

Did this gentleman really just start playing guitar on the piano? My consciousness just expanded.
You cant to that on an electronic keyboard!
Sorry, I only filmed a couple songs. Was too busy enjoying the concert :)
I've found two other video's on my computer. Check them out, I've put the links in the description.
Buenos Ritmos
Is that Theolonius I hear...?
Add Jeff Hamilton on drums and this would be perfect.
