Thanks for the update, yall. Regular pruning of my sweet potato vines and feeding that to the chooks or putting the greens in salads or soups, is a good source of food for us and it promotes larger sweet potatoes at harvest. Poor ground has been good ground for them to grow, as well, so I put slips out all over the place.
Yes many people especially asian culture eat the sweet potatoe greens as well or feed to animals. The problem with gift cards is how far you have to go to find a place to use them. The places you mentioned open in town i dk how anyone out of state could arrange to pay for. But sounds like a small van delivery once a week or once a month full of eggs butter and milk might be useful. Anything else? Specific needs delivered by specific people. From a bigger hub maybe to the church and then disbursed from there.? Jobs and cash?
@@Tinysteading The need right now is volunteering to help rebuild on the weekends in the town of Hot Springs and Marshall (there are sign ups available online), and yes, funds to help rebuild and keep bills paid. Most everyone is out of work right now but the bills do not stop...
