  • Humphreys Peak is the tallest natural point in Arizona at 12,633’. The mountain is located near Flagstaff within Coconino National Forest and is a part of the San Francisco Peaks Range.
The hike up to Humphreys is ~9.3mi round trip with 3,200’ of elevation gain. Beginning from the Arizona Snowbowl, the trail heads up the ski slopes eventually dipping into the woods. Once in the woods the trail climbs steadily up, switchbacking a handful of times before topping out on the saddle of Humphreys and Agassiz Peak (second highest mountain in AZ). At the saddle, the trail roughly follows the ridge line up to the summit of Humphreys.
