My exact issue with the Clarion. I’m a double column guy that settled with the single column on the clarion. I love the size of the clarion which is why I’m considering the PSQ since it is so close to the size. I also love how Schuyler positions the references at the bottom. Much easier to read.

I really enjoyed your review, I to have a clarion as my daily reader and agree with you about the weight factor compared to the new Schuyler. I have had this new Schuyler almost a week now thinking that it was going to replace my clarion, but I keep finding myself going back to my clarion. I think my new Schuyler will just be my traveling bible. Well thank you for sharing your thoughts, may GOD be with you always.

Bible design is very finite. Change one thing and you have to change some others to make the change fit. Since our tastes are so subjective to the individual publishers have come up with a wide variety of options to satisfy demand. Like I mentioned, I love the double column format. What I didn't mention is that I also love verse format over paragraph format. If a company would make a Bible slightly larger than the Schuyler Personal Size Quentel in double column verse format with say a 9-10 pt font that would be great. The problem is once you bump up the font size the Bible has to get thicker or longer and wider, or the paper has to get thinner.

Is it still your favorite, go-to Bible? Also, any thoughts on this one versus the Schuyler thinline (if you can only get one)? Thanks Bob for the review; really helpful to compare with Clarion.

It is still my favorite. The thinline would be nice, if I wanted a larger Bible. The sole reason I purchased the PSQ was for the smaller size. While the Thinline is thinner, it is wider and taller than the PSQ. The PSQ can be held in one hand by most people. It also travels well in its box.

I kept calling it the quentnel when I know it is quentel. I still pretty excited because I had just unboxed it. I'll revisit the review again when I've had it for a bit and write my review on my page.

This too is my daily reader. I have the British Tan. very good balance of portability and readability.
