In your opinion, is the existence of chaff on the board better for you or for him?
Sometimes I struggle in this situation: what if you put oil on the line and then ignited all his chaff on the board, you woulda risked losing your crawlers but your fangs and mustangs woulda been good

In this case, my chaff is slight better because he has worse chaff clear (sledge and wraith only vs. mustang, badgers, HE storms). Oil may hurt him a bit more because he has more crawlers. If he has the same number of fangs/crawlers as me, then oil is better for him because of his chaff clear.

Interesting you prefer to have less units and level them. I always thought it was better to have more units than level a unit.

It's an evolving principle with a ton of nuances. Basically, build units when:
1. It plugs a hole on your board (eg. anti-air when you have none)
2. Chaff
3. Respond to a corresponding threat in a mirror match up (eg. if your opponent goes 4 forts, you want 4 of something to answer)
beyond that, I always level first. Quoting DRN here: double the stats, half the price, can't get fairer than that.

It's my unashamed attempt to prompt you to keep watching. Numbers suggest it works, but I'll keep an eye on it. If it gets too unbearably cheesy i'll swap it out for something better =D
