I’ve gotten that impression too. Now that the Zonai connection is confirmed, I bet there’s gonna be some weird stuff going down at the old ruins they don’t want us to know about.
There was also a thing on the sky island, when he was showing the “ascend” ability. Right before he did that, it looked like there was a (friendly?) construct by a fire with a cooking pot on it.
When talking about stuff thats changed or missing, kinda missing the big elephant in the room. Where are the divine beasts? As far as i can tell, they havnt shown up in any shots yet, not even the wide pan when you can see pretty much the whole of hyrule
Why would you want divine beasts back? At the end BOTW the champions spoof out, finally resting in peace along with the King. The beasts that had the intention of being average dungeons served their purpose, there would be no reason at all to have sheikah ruins hanging around in the map aside being a waste of space.

The guardians have stayed on that field for 100 years, but now they’ve supposedly been cleaned up in a matter of months? Seems kinda unlikely. This could just as well be a parallel world with Zonai instead of Sheikah.
You forget that during those 100 years, they had to worry about the guardians waking up at any time specifically because Calamity Ganon was in control. Given that he was genuinely believed to be gone, why wouldn't it be likely that they'd get on that now that the major cause for concern is seemingly no longer around?
After Calamity Ganon's defeat, it's likely all sheikah tech reverted, either into the ground or back under sheikah control. It's possible they could have put themselves away, since everything had to be excavated and reactivated 100+ years ago in the first place. It's hard to say if it all disappeared, especially with Robbie and Purah around, but a parallel world sounds a little far-fetched, even if the series has done it before. It seems far more likely they are tying it back to Skyward Sword (which makes sense with it being the only rerelease between the two titles), and the Zonai are the tie back to the sky realm, as well as the magic/tech providers for this game.
@@zetsubou1v1 yeah, the last few times they did parallel worlds, it usually wasn't that level of similar. Even ALttP and ALBW had small (albeit notable) differences between the Dark World and Lorule, with the same being true for the Light World/Hyrule. But then again, as Aonuma said we were only seeing a small portion of what's different in Tears of the Kingdom, so who knows?
@@lordnul1708 Do we have evidence of guardian activity during the 100 years while Link was asleep? I mean, Ganon only reappears above the castle after Link activates the tower. It’s possible that everything was quite until then.

@@user-ee6lk1pb6w Aside The Kokiri are better exampls of elves than Hylians (lest because they didn't age in OoT). Specifically for this game, Hylians are shown to have normal human lifespans whereas the Shiekah are able to be living for some more decades on average (see Impa, Purah and Robbie).
I thought this game would compete for game of the year. Now it seems not very likely. This doesn't feel fresh. The same world, the same soundtrack, the same visuals, animations and UI. The new mechanics are interesting but they may push the game further towards being a garry's mod - a messy toolkit that doesn't feel so much like a polished Nintendo game. Do I want to fly around in some nasty, wobbly machine I've built from rocks, or on a real airship nintendo devs have painstakingly built, with high quality controls, visuals and mechanics?
Is it possible this game is set *before* Breath of the Wild rather than after? Maybe those shrines are missing because they haven't been built yet? Maybe the construction sites are the missing structures being built. Or is this nonsense and we've already seen something that proves it really is set after Breath of the Wild?
Disappointed? I’m amazed lol. Cant wait to play a fresh version of this game again with cool new features that add to the storyline. The game already was incredible. New stuff is brilliant. Future DLC aswell could be amazing
I'm honestly disappointed too. I'm kind of over the BOTW art style, music, and gameplay. I'm ready for something new and this just doesn't do it for me. I'm glad others are excited don't get me wrong, but I don't care that much for the vehicle construction sandbox stuff. One of the most annoying aspects of BOTW for me was the fact that puzzles weren't as satisfying because they had multiple solutions to them. That sounds great and all but I'd rather have a concrete way of solving it rather than 5 ways that sort of work. Now I feel like they are doing it with traversal. Different objects interacting with the physics engine that kind of work. Anyway like I said I'm glad a lot of other people are excited, everyone's entitled to their opinion
The game most definitely takes place into the past with all the islands, missing stuff etc, also that Korok is most likely a younger version of the guy you traded with
I don’t understand this mentality. Plenty of game sequels reexplore the same areas as the original. Why is this game, a sequel, getting so much flack for it?
@@NightOfBlueFire Because it's Zelda, and revisiting the exact same map again is unprecedented. Even Majora's Mask, which reused allot of OoT assets, occurs in a brand new location, and other games, like Twilight Princess, would re imagine Hyrule rather than copy it. Because of that, the sense of excitement and discovery is always present in a new Zelda, and has become expected from each new major entry.
Tell me, how many different versions of Skyrim do you own? And how many different years of EA Sports titles (which are all literally just reskinned versions of previous entries, which they did every year since the PS2 era, with even the plots being 1:1 identical) do you have? Oh and you must love Overwatch 2 (where the only difference at all is Mercy's hair and a couple of base skins) where everything is designed from the start so Overwatch 1 and Overwatch 2 players can play against each other in the same queue. *But of course you let them get away with it because they're "AAA Developers" and thus automatically that makes it better.* But when Nintendo makes a direct sequel showing time had passed in old locations and adds new areas (and a couple mechanics that would be absurdly annoying to program well on a Wii U, such as the vehicles) and the Fuse mechanic making elemental arrows pointless on top of that, they're just "rebranding lazy DLC a new game" because it's Nintendo. Your argument is essentially just looking at the graphics for a few frames and concluding that there isn't any difference. Not only is *that* absolutely pathetic, it's also childish and entirely hypocritical.
@@lordnul1708 first of all, why are you assuming I play EA titles and Overwatch? Lol I don't, and those games get trashed every year by gamers. The people that buy those games are casuals that only buy an Xbox or Playstation to play sports titles and nothing else. They're irrelevant in social media, they don't read or care about what's going on in the gaming industry. There's plenty of TH-camrs exposing those shitty games. But I bet you we won't see that with this new Zelda game. I'm sure there will be be a few that critique it, but none will be harsh and most will shower it with praise as the next big thing in gaming. Second, Skyrim released in many different platforms, that's correct. But they never told us we were getting Skyrim 2, we knew we were getting essentially the same game, just improved graphics and performance. So your comparison is flawed.

The latter used very similar mechanics & the same engine, but still felt entirely new. The former just gave you new stuff to do & new features to a game we already knew well.
In the end, I'll still be buying the game, and I'm sure I'll love it. But after seeing this, I'm even more firm in my belief that there's *ZERO* justification for the $70 price tag other than they know they can get away with it.
There’s a structure on one of the mountains that wasn’t in the original
i bet the new reward from koroks will be their piss in a jar
$70 DLC with a barely changed map that took 6 years to come out and it's on 2017 hardware.
100 times longer and funner than PS5 games that are also $70. I'll take ToTK over those any day.
@@masteranimation2008 Yeah I don't own a PS5 either and I love Botw but you seriously can't be defending a price tag for what is essentially a Wii U Game in 2023.
They did say they would be reusing the map, and Anouma also said that they wouldn't be covering everything here so there's likely more
on yuzu store it's free, and it runs 4k60fps
They only scratched the surface of what's new. The price tag is determined by value and demand, not hardware.
Idk if its just me, but the building with UltraHand just does not look fun at all. I dont want to have to stop what im doing and slowly build something piece by piece making sure its rotated correctly or attached at the right spot.
It looks tedious and not fun to do
Yeah I’m on the fence regarding this. I don’t hate the idea, and it looks fun, but yes if this is required all the time to traverse it’s going to get tedious and old.
it looks like it will have snap locations to prevent it from getting tedious
Yeah still if I wanted to play a build vechicle game I would play Banj Kazooie Nuts and Bolts not this
Rip windbomb :'(
RIP Virtual Boy
I noticed that the constructs are called golems in Japanese. Not sure why they need to always change names.
Despite that name being commonly used in fantasy all the time it's supposedly offensive
I got a question are the Devine beast of breath of the wild appears in tear of the kingdom? Since there no more shrine and towers
Reaching hard
@@lordnul1708 Do we have evidence of guardian activity during the 100 years while Link was asleep? I mean, Ganon only reappears above the castle after Link activates the tower. It’s possible that everything was quite until then.
4:34 Wii U is more powerful. The ultimate evidence of that is Xenoblade X. It's the only port that never got to Switch because Switch can't handle it.
Ok
They didn't fix the biggest problems from botw though.
Koroks
Blood moons
Weapon breaking
I'm making a shirt for Hyrule Cleanup Campaign.
How long do you think this game takes place after botw?
It’s 2 years after
Am I the only one that thinks this is a prequel...
yes
Yes
1:46, not much sense in the people rebuilding Hyrule yet. Ganondorf is about to return!!
We don't know how much time has passed between botw and totk, so there could have been enough time for them to start rebuilding
@@christiankhnana5284 Based on the fact that Zelda and Link haven’t aged at all, it can’t have been more than a year or two, but I doubt the citizens would be aware that Ganon is returning regardless
@@metroidfoosion73 doubt it. Hylians are more similar to elves than humans. So they're likely to age slower than us
@@user-ee6lk1pb6w But remember Ocarina of Time? Link was a Hylian, and when the Master Sword made him jump forward 7 years, he looked like a teenager. If Hylians aged slower, he’d still look like a kid, but he had markedly aged. Seems like humans and Hylians age at the same rate
I think links arm being as it is in totk shows that the game as after botw, don't see link recovering from that
Dang that crack on the Wii U was brutal! You just can’t let that poor thing rest in peace can you lol?
So hyped!
I hope they have The Great Fairies, Those girls are so Hot!
i don't know what i expected but today's gameplay felt very disappointing. this has increased the pressure of the game
Genuinely curious. Why was it disappointing, and what were were you expecting?
Disappointed? I’m amazed lol. Cant wait to play a fresh version of this game again with cool new features that add to the storyline. The game already was incredible. New stuff is brilliant. Future DLC aswell could be amazing
This was honestly the most hype for me, so I'm curious too
I doubt he will reply guys, most people critising this game seem to be complaining just for the sake of it lmao
Whoa... to Whoa! lool
I feel like a lot is not being shown.
Man, this world looks too big for me
There’s no Korok forest either
The game most definitely takes place into the past with all the islands, missing stuff etc, also that Korok is most likely a younger version of the guy you traded with
not to burst your bubble but those are some GIANT leaps...
You are about to be so disappointed
0:36 xD
"Next to nothing" should be the real answer
If you ignore the video in it’s entirety: it seems true
Do you have the game to confirm this?
This must be a short video haha.
I'm surprised the video lasts longer than 10 seconds, considering there's only 2 new things. It's the literal definition of "The same game 2"
more like we only got 10 minutes of info and none of it was about the world just mechanics
I don’t understand this mentality. Plenty of game sequels reexplore the same areas as the original. Why is this game, a sequel, getting so much flack for it?
@@NightOfBlueFire because people wanna be negative just because, it's trendy
I mean people weren’t complaining when they played Spider-Man in the same old city of New York.
The pink cloud= someone farted.
$70 DLC and people will praise it because it's Nintendo and Zelda.
Absolutely pathetic
lol
Tell me, how many different versions of Skyrim do you own? And how many different years of EA Sports titles (which are all literally just reskinned versions of previous entries, which they did every year since the PS2 era, with even the plots being 1:1 identical) do you have? Oh and you must love Overwatch 2 (where the only difference at all is Mercy's hair and a couple of base skins) where everything is designed from the start so Overwatch 1 and Overwatch 2 players can play against each other in the same queue. *But of course you let them get away with it because they're "AAA Developers" and thus automatically that makes it better.*
But when Nintendo makes a direct sequel showing time had passed in old locations and adds new areas (and a couple mechanics that would be absurdly annoying to program well on a Wii U, such as the vehicles) and the Fuse mechanic making elemental arrows pointless on top of that, they're just "rebranding lazy DLC a new game" because it's Nintendo.
100% this
Everything that changed: Nothing! 😬
The video proves you wrong. Also, emojis are cringe.
@@thevenom2731 Wrong, using username like a child is cringe 🫣
This is one of the worst looking games on the switch. The cel shading is there to cover up the extremely low quality textures but even with the shading it still looks like low quality imo
honestly they should make it 60 fps
