I reset my NVRAM once then it worked. However when I shut it down and boot it back up, the flickering comes back. Is it safe to frequently reset my NVRAM? It’s the only way for the flickering to stop

Man I was replacing a HD in my Imac 2009. Put the screen back in and it was all washed out. I could see the screen but it was washed out very white. This method worked to restore the color to my screen. Thank you!!

So if your screen starts flickering white - or you see a white screen - these are the 2 things that you need to do to fix the problem. It’s just software

It was taking a while for boot camp assistant to partition the amount I wanted for Windows 10, so I went to sleep. When I woke up, the screen was black but the Mac was still on. I tried touching the Mac keys and touch pad but it was unresponsive. So I instead shut it off. When I turned it back on, it was flickering. I’ve already updated it, cleared cache and storage, check display options, and reset my PRM. Nothing is working. And I haven’t dropped my Mac on the floor because it was on my desk the whole night. Anyone able to give me some suggestions or help?

It worked, even the flickering Google Chrome app doesnt flicker anymore. Thank you, it was sweet and simple fix.

this didn't work for my macbook air, it wouldn't let me turn it on while pressing those buttons.
I had this issue at first, so try pressing those buttons (option, command, P, R AND POWER BUTTON at the same time) it worked for me🤷🏼♀️

Well you got warranty , so I would make a backup on time machine and take it to Apple. They need to fix since it’s got warrsnty
