I just enjoy using them, they are soft, get get very dark, and perfect for very detailed artworks and portraits. The paper that i used here is the Strathmore Mixed media toned Grey paper.

Underrated channel, probably underrated artist too! Wow, what a great technique! I just got my first General's charcoal pencils (Very hard to find them here) I can sketch decently, but nowhere near that level!!! Keep it up!

What pencil do you use for your initial sketch? Do you use grid method, or just free hand the sketch? I use grid and a 3H or F and its hard to remove it, you can still see the lines. Thanks!

Since the image of the bar cannot be made with the general charcoal pencil, only the congratulatory image has to be made; detailed images can also be made with graphite

Does a finished charcoal drawing requires a chemical spray that will make a charcoal stay on a paper, not on your hands, face and couch and doors? Last time i tried charcoal and it was too messy.. you can't fold a drawing, you cant put it in a frame, you can't touch it, because a charcoal from a drawing comes out and spots are all over the house.

In my experience with General's charcoal pencil, I don't feel the need for a Fixative Spray.....but for other brands and technique, or using charcoal powder, using sprays will definitely help

May nadiscover po Ako sa Staedtler official online shop, may Pastel Pencils din Po Sila na Mars Lumograph Ang kaso 6 Pencils lang, White, Sanguine, Light Sepia, Dark Sepia, Umber at yung 6th na Unknown pencil kung para saan ba Yun Sabi nila "Lightning Pencil" daw Ang nasa description, baka Yun yung Blender nila.
