The day I take my cats to Paris! 🐱🐱
We did the animal quarantine at Incheon International Airport, went through an 11-hour flight, and finally arrived at our new home in Paris.
Huge shoutout to my brave cats who endured this 24-hour journey.

- How did I take 2 cats? I had an accompany. We were two people so we could take two cats. I could put both of them under my seat because the flight was almost empty due to COVID19.
- Which airline? AirFrance
- Do you have to buy an extra ticket for the cats? Yes. It was about 110 euros back in 2021 as far as I can remember.
- Documents for the cats? They really differ from your departing and arriving countries. You have to make an inquiry to the quarantine office of your arriving country.
🙋♀️ And one last message I want to tell you all is that our cats are stronger than we think. I was so worried because my cats were even feeling so uncomfortable with a 5 minute drive and would cry non-stop. (They still do though.) But they were so brave throughout the whole journey and finally made it! They are still doing great in France. To anyone planning a flight with your cat, I wish you all the best!🍀

Was it difficult to go though security? Did they ask you to take the cats out of the carrier? Im affraid they will try to escape. That is the most loudest / stressful area for them!
Air France is the best airline for travel with pets. I took my cat from the US to France and the staff was great. I arrived early at the check in in Chicago and they greeted me with the words: " We have been waiting for you" ( you have to book a space in the cabin for the pet). Also, the customer service on the phone from Air France was stellar! THE BEST.
Hi! Please when you bring your cat with you, was it in the cabin during the fly? Is there a maximum of weight in order to bring it in the cabin ? I don't know how it works, I would like to bring my cat with me for travelling :/

this video was so lovely to watch. Im anxious to take my two persian 2 year olds on a 8 hour flight. I'm only staying away for 3 months. I'm not sure if I should consider just having someone take care of them at home, or to actually take em with me. But seeing this video made me way more calm about the possibility of traveling with them.

@@SkeIeton Hi, our 8months old British cat flied with my cousin. It was so difficult for him in the airport cuz he was so scared, he started shaking when we took him out of from his carrier but we had to became they check the cat and his carrier. My cousin was worried when he got to the plain because the cat was still scared and shaking in the plane. But after 15-20min the car started to relax and he gave him some snacks. They took 2 planes. When the cat arrived home he was still worried but he ate his food because he was so hungry. We understood he is okay and he won’t be depressed when he ate his food. Btw he didn’t meow or pee/poop on through the flight. It went way better we thought

Oops, I’m so sorry I just read your comment now. I made them listen to inflight noise everyday with inflight asmr videos. I also gave them zylkene for a month prior to the travel.

Your boys are so handsome! They did really well at the airports and on the flight. Is this a vacation or did you move permanently to France? I’m Canadian living in Japan now, but plan to return to Canada 🇨🇦 later this year with my 4 cats! I have 2 girls and 2 boys just like your cats. I am so worried like you. I plan to take them in the cabin on the flight. I’ll be getting some family to come to Japan to help bring them to the airport and on the plane. I’m so worried how they will handle traveling. Did they check the sizes of the carriers? I had problems with an airline the last time as it was 1cm too big even if it was a soft bag and they told me the cat has to be able to stand and sit upright in the carrier.... or the carrier will be deemed too small and my cat will not be allowed in it.
your carriers have the same size of the ones I have tho I just compared them.

Hey thanks for this video. 💞 Love the kitties. At the incheon airport when you went through the security checks before the gate for boarding, did you have to take them out the carry on bags and walk through security while the carry on bags went through the scanner?

Soo, can I ask you a follow-up question? With Air France, were you able to have a carry-on, a personal item plus your cat (meaning a total of three items), or was your cat your carry-on? I have contradictory responses from Air France and don't know what to do.

I'm moving from Seoul to Toronto Canada in a few months and I always come to this video for comfort because I am so nervous about flying with my baby ㅠㅠ I have a question about Incheon Airport and security. Did you have an option to go through security in a private room? I wanted to request one since I will be flying alone with my cat and I am worried that she will freak out when she has to come out of the carrier to go through security. But my Korean isn't good and I don't know if they would have the private room/allow it for a cat
I totally understand your feelings. Flying with my babies was by far the most stressful experience of my life. But my cats were a lot stronger than I thought and at the end everything went well! I am so sure that your baby cat will be able to make it too. And for your question, the security people allowed me to keep my cats in their carriers. I didn’t have to take them out. They just went through the xray machine in their carriers, so no danger of escaping! I hope my answer helped. Wish the bestest luck for both of you!🍀

I didn’t feed them a lot, just a bit snack for Simba. Latte just didn’t want to eat or drink anything. My vet personally recommended me to not feed them a lot cuz it can give them airsickness and they’ll have to stand urine the whole travel. I’ve put some pads in their carrier under their cushions but they didn’t pee or poo.

Litter box, litter, food and everything you need can be easily found on big markets like auchan, casino, monoprix, etc. There are also few online pet supply shops like zooplus!

Hiii, they didn't poo or wee at all during flight! One animal is allowed per one passenger in the cabin so I had to travel with my friend. And I had to contact the airlines to reserve tickets. Hope my answer was helpful and with you the best!🫶

I fed them zylkene for about a month. And they didn’t pee/poop during the travel. Only Simba peed while waiting for the flight in my dad’s car in the travel toilet that I brought.

The flight ticket itself was about 130 euros per one cat. We had to get anti rabies vaccines and the antibody blood test, that costed extra money.

Quick question what are the size dimensions of your carrier? All the standard carriers have a height of 28 cm whereas klm, Air France etc has mentioned 24 cm high on their website. Could you please guide me on the same based on your experience ?
My carrier was 43X29X26cm so slightly bigger than standard but airfrance didn’t make an issue of it. They actually didn’t even check the weight of my cats.

Yes I did! My vet from Korea did all the paperworks so I don't know a lot about it, but we did get anti rabies vaccines and did the blood sample test.

I feel too much stress because I don't know if they are allowed both in the cabin😢 because my dog is 1 Pekingese(5kg) and Shih Tzu (5kg) I decide that one of them I put in the check baggage but I think it's not allowed because they both snob nose.
Hi, I traveled with a friend cuz AirFrance only allowed one animal per one passenger. I think it’ll be better if you call and ask the airline that you’re going to use. They all have different guidelines. Wish you the best for the travel!

Simba was about 6.5kg, Latte was 4.5kg! Simba narrowly passed the weight limit.
Great video. I’m taking my two babies from LA to Tokyo soon. Many years ago, I used to take one kitty back and forth. She was a trooper. I’m not sure how my two boys will react. I was thinking about getting the same carrier as you used, and it was nice to see it in action. I think I will be a bundle of nerves, just like you were! Hi, my cats didn’t go to toilet during the flight. One did just before the flight in the airport but one didn’t use toilet for about 20 hours. I’ve put some pee pads under the carrier but both of them didn’t pee inside the carrier. I think they were too stressed and nervous and didn’t feel like peeing. I talked with my vet and he recommended me to not give water or food during the travel to make them suffer less.
