NIce demo and format. Both sound great, with as in other comparisons, the Dream being brighter and a bit thinner than the other amp (be it vintage, modeler, or profile). IWith the Strat I prefer the rounder tone of the vintage amp, whereas with the LP the greater brightness of the Dream is better.
Dream has a very weird fake clipping sound over everything. Also no depth. Sounds sound much less impressive/flattering at first listen, which is not a bad thing, sounds wayy better overall. Also the miking and speaker choices make the most difference so keep that in mind
I liked the UA better with the Strat and Les Paul both. Totally didn’t expect that! My boutique amp hunt may be at an inexpensive and compact end.
