I just looked up Ralph on Cake Boss and y’all. For literal YEARS I have remembered the polka dot T-rex he made. My mind is totally blown that it’s THIS Ralph! So cool. I remember watching the episode with my mom (who has a degree in painting and sculpture from Carnegie Melon) and she thought he was great! Made Cake Boss so much more worthwhile for us watch, just to see his work (guys I swear this was pre-instagram. It feels like so long ago. He must’ve been so young on the show). Flies' Graveyard looks like he'd be an amazing villain in an 80s animated movie, and he'd be played by a beloved character actor that literally no child would ever recognize.

When I moved from Canada to the UK for school, I honestly wasn’t expecting one of the culture shocks to be desserts on my college’s menu named things like “Brown Derby” and “Knickerbocker glory”. This episode captures what was going on in my head.
Imagining a scene in a Dickens-esque story where the protag comes up to Flies Graveyard in a seedy alleyway, nervously holding a letter, and asks, "Is this the right place? Are you Flies Graveyard?" And Flies snatches the letter out of the protagonists hand and screams, "God damn it, I've told them so many times, it's Fileas! They never spell it right!"
Again Ralph is such a treat of a guest. Funny as hell, vibes perfectly with the crew, and a great artist to boot. The speed he laid out his gesture was nothing short of astonishing.

Omigosh Jerrico Ink's and "They Just Wanna Know Freedom" are some of my favorites. Can I add onto this and shoutout MythicalWater? They only did a couple Drawfee animations I think but their take on The Fool was my fave, lmboo

I am blown away, with how little there is to take away from "spoom" Karona somehow managed to make probably one of my favorite drawfee drawings in a while. It has so many feelings in it that make you ask so many questions. Are the spoom scared or greeting? Do they know the red one it's there? And most importantly, is the shadowy figure something in front or behind them. And the best part about all these questions, I never want to know the answer, I want to see more of them, but at the same time I don't want abtmythong to be answered, it is completely mesmerizing. I adore the spoom, and I want them to come back.

As a Brit, I was also completely unsurprised when Julia said all the silly names were British. Gooseberry fool was a favourite of mine growing up. One thing though, it's pronounced gooz/guz, not "goose" if you're talking about the berry. If you want to be extra English it's "guzb'ry". You can also absolutely make excellent wine out of them.
This whole dead flies looking like raisins reminded me of what my Grandma often told us, that my Father, when he was a Toddler, ate dead flies from the floor, because he thought they were raisins and he liked raisins a lot!
I haven't watched drawfee in a while and this is my first time seeing Ralph on the show. I wasn't prepared for him to be all "I'm just gonna sketch out some shapes" and then proceed to effortlessly scribble out the most pleasing shapes I've ever seen.
British Drawfee-enjoyer here! It sounds like what Ralph had in London was pie, mash and liquor. 'Liquor' in this case is basically parsley sauce, sometimes (not always) made with the liquid from jellied eels, but isn't _actually_ jellied eels which are literally chunks of eel sometimes served alongside. Also, as someone from the north of England, I love Eccles cakes and Garibaldi biscuits, which are essentially squashed fly pie and squashed fly biscuits respectively with less unappealing names!

thinking about “A Pizza for Purim”, that one Hallmark Christmas Movie but for Purim some guy made on tumblr edit: same person also came up with a cute idea for a Christmas movie with a clever subversion that ended with a gay twist but the proposed title was overly suggestive I think. I would probably use something from Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.
This is a 100% a Smurfs-esque cartoon from the '80s. I can see it so clearly: The Spoom are the main characters, who are like these precocious little creatures who live in a human bakery and come out at night, and Flies Graveyard is the Gargamel-like villain who's always trying to capture them for vaguely defined evil purposes. The Gooseberry Fools don't show up in many episodes, but somehow have the most toys and merchandise.
I feel really betrayed by the Nathan fakeout. I cant believe you would do that to him. Putting out such a malicious prank while he's out in the rain. Banging on your window. Let him in. Please. He's been out there for so long. Let. Him. In.

I love Jacob's little Gooseberry Fool. It looks like the star character of a cute sidescrolling platformer.
The middle spoom is the single most adorable creature ever conjured on this godforsaken show. I feel bad for the poor little guy because he was brought into a world so chaotic and awful.

I just wanna thank drawfee for a sec. I’ve been going through a pretty low point and a lot of people have left my life at the same time, but drawfee has been a constant for years and they’ve helped fill the void for a while, so thanks
It's remarkable that:
A.) The Drawfee crew work so diligently to craft and distribute these packages of chill fun & goodwill.
B.) That they can presumably make a decent living from those efforts
C.) and that a little bit of that genuine good can leak through the tech tubes to (in small or not so small ways) better the lives of so many.
Certainly one of the few things about the modern internet that's clearly positive.

As a Brit, I was also completely unsurprised when Julia said all the silly names were British. Gooseberry fool was a favourite of mine growing up. One thing though, it's pronounced gooz/guz, not "goose" if you're talking about the berry. If you want to be extra English it's "guzb'ry". You can also absolutely make excellent wine out of them.
Can confirm gooseberry wine is incredible and very summery 😊

I haven't watched drawfee in a while and this is my first time seeing Ralph on the show. I wasn't prepared for him to be all "I'm just gonna sketch out some shapes" and then proceed to effortlessly scribble out the most pleasing shapes I've ever seen.
I LOVE how popular DBI has become with the Drawfee crew and community. So awesome.

It sounds like what Ralph had in London was pie, mash and liquor. 'Liquor' in this case is basically parsley sauce, sometimes (not always) made with the liquid from jellied eels, but isn't _actually_ jellied eels which are literally chunks of eel sometimes served alongside.
Also, as someone from the north of England, I love Eccles cakes and Garibaldi biscuits, which are essentially squashed fly pie and squashed fly biscuits respectively with less unappealing names!

This is a 100% a Smurfs-esque cartoon from the '80s. I can see it so clearly: The Spoom are the main characters, who are like these precocious little creatures who live in a human bakery and come out at night, and Flies Graveyard is the Gargamel-like villain who's always trying to capture them for vaguely defined evil purposes. The Gooseberry Fools don't show up in many episodes, but somehow have the most toys and merchandise.
