The amount of plastic used in reusable bags co.pared to single use bags requires a person to use it a little over a thousand times to make it worth while... I dont know anyone that has used them a thousand times. Reusable bags are almost always worse for the environment than single use bags. Regarding 21:20 & plastic bag tax, in New Zealand most supermarkets have moved to cloth bags for ~80c or paper bags for ~10c since thin plastic bags were banned. Sturdy plastic bags are still available in other types of stores but they are actually reusable. Just need to remember to put them in your car.

I think if you right click on policies whenever it says "right click for details", you get the function of how one property affects another. New in D4 is, that prices and effects may not all increase/decrease linearly. And some stuff has effects on both the top and bottom end but not the middle etc.

I was under the impression that the number in brackets meant how many turns until something has fully taken effect. So when looking at sliders be careful when you are looking at a solid colour vs a whited-out (new word) colour. See Press Freedom in Media Monopoly as an example.

so i don't know about quill's local experience, but speaking as a Canadian, it did. But it required 1 key cooperation from the stores.
In the checkout line, where all the impulse buy items are, are reasonably priced reusable bags. The tax forces you to think about bags at checkout, and if the store makes both options similarly convenient, consumers tend to chose the responsible choice, if they have to think about it and its not hard.

Is Canada's party discipline the strictest in the world? Experts say yes
Experts say Canada's government really is more controlling and less tolerant of dissent than most other democracies in the free world.
Almost all discourse in the Canadian Parliament is scripted by party staffers. Questions posed of the government rarely meet straight answers. Politicians vote as their party leaders dictate nearly 100 per cent of the time. Few private members' initiatives get past first reading.
Do other countries do democracy better? The answer seems to be yes - if you subscribe to the belief that MPs should be free to speak their minds and to act as the voice of their constituents.
"There may be some exceptions in those African dictatorships that are part of the Commonwealth and so on," says Leslie Seidle, a research director with the Institute for Research on Public Policy, "but in the advanced parliamentary democracies, there is nowhere that has heavier, tighter party discipline than the Canadian House of Commons. People are kicked out of their party temporarily for what are really very minor matters."
