Thanks For Watching! I am planning to upload a video in this style for every faction that has a Combat Patrol, so if you are interested in those, consider subscribing! If you know someone who is considering getting into Black Templars, consider sharing the video with them! Combat Patrol has been designed for a wide variety of players. It can be picked up by new and returning players, people who might struggle to find the time for a larger game, players who want to try a new faction without building a 1,000 point army, or people who simply want to master a new game format. Instead of building an army from a selection of datasheets and points values, your games will feature balanced but varied forces based on the Combat Patrol boxes you can find in stores. You simply pick up the Combat Patrol box from your favourite faction, build your miniatures, and get ready to battle. It really is as simple as that!
As I mentioned on your Blood Angels video, the Impulsor being a Dedicated Transport is important for new players to learn, including the fact that you must have a unit within the Transport on Deployment, and potentially the fact that the Impulsor can use the Scout move (but only if you have split up the Crusaders and only without the Marshall, so not as relevant as for the Blood Angels.
You can if you use patrol squads to split them. Using the neophytes as early midfield objective grabbers. Scout, advance, shoot and then you charge bring in the initiates and marshal to take there place once they weakened whoever challenged them.
You mentioned using the scout ability with the crusadors, but can you use it if the marshall is attached to them as he doesn't have scout ? Thanks, great video!
Every model in the unit needs scout. No exception. But - you can split the crusader squat up. The Scouts go with the sword brother into the impulsor. Drive them down as deep as you can and use firing deck. Attach the Marshall to the rest of the crusader squat and advance them over the battlefield while the impulsor holds the frontline. Or attach the marshall to the scouts and the sword brother and use the rest of the crusader squat in the impulsor
At first of all... I really like your videos. But I have a few critics: the "BIG CHAPTERS" are called LEGIONS - its better being exactly. Then a marshal is not a captain. Its LIKE a captain but like you said the structure is VERY different. Same for the castellan (lieutenant) they can compared with but are different. In game they are just named different.

This is my favorite Warhammer series of videos, period. May I humbly request you do Genestealer Cults next?
I am working on multiple combat patrol reviews at the moment and GSC is one of them!
Eplesh is killing it with the opening music selections.
If you want to learn why Black Templars use the cross - then you have to look into the old IMPERIAL FISTS LEGION. There used to be the TEMPLE OF OATH,
Since in CP, you attach the Marshall to the Crusader squad in the most time, you rarely can use Scout rule.
You can if you use patrol squads to split them. Using the neophytes as early midfield objective grabbers. Scout, advance, shoot and then you charge bring in the initiates and marshal to take there place once they weakened whoever challenged them.
@@dittmar104 Well in that way you don't utilize Marshall's enhancemment in full potentional.

You cannot use the Terminator librarian in Black Templars
14 or 13 base stratagems? So you get the core space marine ones?

the emperrors champion is competitve... is not that bad
Especially now that the primaris champion is no longer a character his access to precision is much more impactful.
