"I was trying to make a joke but I'm not funny"
Mood
Very ironic because that was really funny. 🤣
People need to hype Devin up more tbh he's amazing
Saarah xxx yesss
Gillian Murray for real yessssss
Fav Character in dat show!!
Saarah xxx yessss
I want to be friends with him he's literally the kindest person ever
Ms Wolfiee I know
Bruh this is all tv, you don't know if he's nice or not off camera just like you got no idea how your coworkers or schoolmates act when they are around their family.
oh.... his scene in the final episode....
it just broke me. I stopped the show, jumped to bed, and started crying and shaking. it was SO brutal. it was so horrific :(
he is SUCH a great actor.
If you really cried and started shaking, then you shouldn't watch the show
i had to stop it too and I just bawled, seriously so sad.
Jason Mason I think I can decide that for myself. And besides. Who doesn’t cry watching that scene?....
I know it was soo hard to watch I don't think I will watch season 3 if there is one it just too much.
I didnt cry but i did think its fuck up and understood where the character was coming from. If anything i angry more then sad like Tyler
Love how Devin gets carried away and it's not a bad thing at all. Everything here was beautifully said. Well done, Devin!
How does he gets carried away?
He's so well spoken wow
I went into this not intending to watch the whole thing but wow...i got so into this, honestly Devin seems like one of the kindest and most decent people ever, I couldn't stop listening to him! The world honestly needs more people like this: gentle, empathetic, intelligent... need i go on??
Isa Bel couldn't even pause 😭
Isa Bel attractive.
Omg ikrr he's such a nice person irl I almost felt bad for hating him on the show😂
“And she let me PET him!” Omg I love him so much😂
I finished watching season 2 yesterday and I feel like, out of everybody, Tyler had the worst life. Even though this interview is over a year old, it makes me feel better knowing that he took such breaks between filming scenes. I thought it was a good idea for the show to add in the issue of school shootings, so people can understand that sort person better and hopefully help and stop more from occurring. Devin is an amazing actor, I think he portrayed his character the most accurately, and he seems to be very intelligent and well spoken. Love you, Devin!
Saddest part of that scene.. was how much Tyler was trying to respond to Monty with what what he had learned from this time away and trying to implement and reinforce how he is in control of what is around him. He wasn't the same kid he was before and after what happened to him he won't ever be again. I'm just so happy Clay managed to save him from further ruining his life...I reckon in season 3 Tyler will serve as a real catalyst for the school finally recognising the bullying problem that needs to be stopped. I just really hope he opens up to Clay and Tony and allow them to help him.
It would be irresponsible for them to NOT have a season 3 to show what schools can do to improve this whole problem. Out of all the characters, Tyler seemed like the ONLY one to benefit from actual therapy, and he was tortured for it. I wish the show could show more positive benefits in the outcome of getting help. The incompetence of the adults is so damaging for kids that watch that they need to have a season just for showing what reasonable grownups can do for kids with these issues. The show fails at giving hope, and Clay's intervention at the end is just dangerous and stupid, a fantasy at best. Sure, say something if your friend is about to go postal, but NEVER step in front of his gun! I hated that scene for how it's up to the kids to solve it, and so easily solved. It was a real disappointment. We should get to see the aftermath of it (Clay was left holding the gun) and some solid solutions to actually help instead of just throwing our societal problems in our faces without any useful suggestions on how to go forward. With all the professional guidance from experts, you'd think they could add some positive changes to Season 3. They don't need to wrap it up all nice and neat, but some resolution to at least a few problems should be offered. I also wish we had a diagnosis for Clay's condition to help people who may suffer from the same mental illness. I think he has some schizoid tendencies, but writers could be getting at a different condition; it's hard to tell. Everyone at Liberty High needs one of those therapy dogs.
jawas stole my droid
To add on the part where you talked about the kids being left to deal with things. I think that's the point and another realistic point in the show. Kids are left to deal with things and I think that's why this show is so important. Adults are very oblivious not only in the show but in reality. So I'm very happy that is explored and that it does show, even though no kid should go through any of what was represented in the show, it shows how strong you can be no matter what. I think the show is purposefully not making it hopeful because it's from the kids perspective and to them things weren't/aren't hopeful but they are sort of shedding light to friendship foreshading that if you surround yourself with people who care about you and you respect them as well then things might not even get completely better but it will be easier to handle. Also I think you could put a label on what Clay is going through with a mental illness but I think that he is just simply traumatized. I think at the most they pretty much all have signs of PTSD so I think that's all there is. I could be wrong but I thought that I'd share my opinion.
In my opinion, I’d say it’s pretty unfair to say Tyler had the worst life. As you saw on the show, every character had their struggles with different things whether it be mental illness, drug addiction, sexual assault, bullying etc. We aren’t here to try to pick out who had it the worst. Would you do that in real life? I hope not.
Keeley, I want to address your statement that "adults are very oblivious" because I think this is a big generalization. I won't deny most seem oblivious even to their own problems, but they aren't all clueless. Also, I don't expect it to end up where everyone's happy, but I think if they want to help, they could include some rays of hope that don't turn out to actually be laser eyes of doom. Reality isn't all bad, and too many people can't see it. Getting your friend off heroin. In secret. He even almost OD'd at one point. No doctor. No parents. Just WebMD??? I don't care how old you are. There are entire medical facilities built to handle this for a REASON. This is just one example of an entire professional field of trained people who aren't necessarily ALL idiots. The show honors Columbine's anniversary, yet it doesn't honor the generation who grew from that tragedy into adults.
Woah the fact that he won’t watch the graphic scenes because his friends are hurting is amazing.
I know right. Such a sweet little cinnamon roll
ACTORS !! ARE !! NOT !! THEIR !! CHARACTERS !!!
Daenerys Exactly. I think it speaks volumes of the person when they take on roles for characters that are bad or do bad things or that experience bad things like Devin and Justin Prentice who plays Bryce. They are really nice people and they play these monster characters so well.
Nou. T.k No, I was saying that it means they are great actors when even though they know the characters are bad people or bad things happen to them they still take on the part and they play the character so well. I enjoy watching Devin's interviews because I think he gives great interviews and he seems like a genuine and nice person. As far as Tyler goes, I didn't really feel one way or the other about him in the first season and in the second season I did feel bad for him because he was constantly picked on and bullied.
@@Stephanie102684 Tyler is not a monster!!!!
@@CiarraMMichelle I like how out of the whole thing where I'm praising THE ACTORS, you pick out this one piece where you think I'm specifically calling him a monster character. Did I say he was? No, I didn't. In actuality, I was saying that these actors are so good that you either feel bad for them in certain situations or hate them or dislike them and then are on their side. Be a little more open minded when you're reading and think of what the whole thing says before jumping on one little piece.
@@Stephanie102684 I appreciated what you said in your original comment. I just wanted to make it clear Tyler is not a monster. I hold Devin/Tyler close to my heart-- just trying to protect his good name:)
I absolutely fell for Devin in this interview. The actor and person, not his character (though I do kind of like his character as well). Devin seems like such a great guy. So down to earth and incredibly articulate and intelligent. I really like this guy.
honestly such a great interview, Devin portrayed really well what this show is all about you could just feel the passion he feels for it, very inspiring.
I know this is a year old, but in season 2 (specifically the beginning prior to his friendship with Cyrus) Tyler seemed SO lovable. Like, it breaks my heart what happens to him in the finale. I know he was dealing with crazy shit the past two seasons, but this guy is so just genuine & he makes you root for Tyler even tho he’s done questionable things himself. That’s talent.
fr
he’s the cutest
Yess.
Oml yes 😭😍 i wannna meeettt himm
yeah this was a good one - i think this kid could write an interesting story himself
Every time when he tells a story it's so great to listen. On twitch, for example, he told us how he met his girl friend. The way, he tells stories is pure asmr.
why is he the nicest person ever
He's so different from his character, really kind and also low key adorable!
His charactor is those things aswell he just was painted as a stalker as a misunderstanding
He's obviously an amazing actor but also a very beautiful human being.
Yes you don't find that often
Genuinely feel that Tyler is a much more interesting character than Hannah. Just finished season 2 and the bathroom scene broke my heart 💔 it actually affected me more than the last episode of season 1 :-/
thats because he actually has no friends. hannah had so many people around her
Mee too with season 1 I knew what to expect at the last episode but this one I had no idea it was so heartwrenching.
Sherelle Curtis Same idk why. The Hannah scene shocked me a bit and was tough to watch but that bathroom scene had me bawling
Pie1o1 Morris I think with Hannahs scene we knew it was coming so kinda prepared for it (even though it was still upsetting) but I could have never imagined the bathroom scene would happen. It was such a shock 😢
Sherelle Curtis Agreed. I thought that might be part of it. I was ready for a happy ending for everyone and then THAT happened... Plus the screams and the blood (I know that Hannah's suicide had a lot of blood but this was like a combination between the two graphic Hannah scenes (rape and blood)) and he was trying to apologize the whole time...
11:36 little did he know he'd be in one of the most brutal scenes of all time lol
Initially started watching to see Tyler, stayed for Devin
MissMaui04 same
Just finished the show, was in shock, now I'm in awe of this actor and the ability to play such an intense and awfully brutal scene.
HE IS SO PURE
he is so sweet and likeable
He's so open minded, deep and passionate. id love to have a heart to heart with him and get inside his mind.
Devin is like the only reason I still watch the show. The world needs more people like him tbh
13RW S2 (spoiler warning) has the most difficult to watch sexual assault scene I've ever watched in my life. Every guy in that scene was brave to take on such a horrific thing. I can't imagine coming down after a scene like that. Devin made my heart break for Tyler in such a human way. I ended up watching that episode a second time with a friend, and I had to turn my head during the scene. I couldn't go through it again. I've thankfully never endured that kind of horror, but in some way I felt like that was me after watching it. Few shows can actually put me into a character's skin the way that scene did.
i feel you. i knew what was gonna happen when he grabbed the mop and had to fast forward. i puked and whenever i think of it the show i think of that scene and i feel so disgusted and i cant deal with it
Shay, on the bright side, at least we now know you're not a sociopath. I honestly think we could use this scene as a test. If you can't watch it, you automatically pass. If you can watch it but can no longer stand to hear "butt hurt" jokes in regard to the topic, you pass. If you watch it and you're still making "butt hurt" jokes about rape victims, congratulations, you're quite possibly a sociopath.
This is one of the best interviews I've ever seen! He speaks with so much passion and everything is so well spoken and thorough and thought out and idk, it's just so interesting to hear. Your guys' interviews are always great, never stop
He's honestly adorable and he seem ike the kindest human being in the entire world. He's so caring and human, so much humanity in a young guy
I really like this guy
*I mean look at him*
*He is realy adorable* 🤗🤗🤗🤗
he's so well spoken, such a great interview wow excellent actor!!
Im so obsessed now with this guy. He's very well spoken, i love his no nonsense personality and he's cute.
He is so nice and kind and people really need to pay more attention to actors like Devin who isn't the most handsome man but sure is beautiful human being
MUSCLE MUSCLE HUSTLE HUSTLE see now personally, he's the exact sort of weird that becomes the most affecting and interesting sort of attractive to me. As I watched the show I felt little nudges like, huh.... Something interesting about this kid, I bet there's something there... And as soon as I saw the interviews of him being himself, I honestly thought : "yup. He's hot. Just not the immediately obvious kind."
Watch some of the more recent photo shoot. Dude's hot.
th-cam.com/video/PYp59O8Ys2U/w-d-xo.html
He is really handsome tho
Bitch he the bomb
He is definitely the most adorable guy from the show.
I love this boy! I love this boy so freakin much!
Taylor Hines yes devin is such a good person and actor
He’s literally like a puppy :(
Adorable bby
He's so precious omgggg
yes! get more 13 reasons why cast members
My heart aches to hug this boy. He says his heart aches to watch his friends be abused as characters and I feel THE SAME FOR HIM. It hurts. I just want to hold him.
after season two, i feel like everybody was able to move on and get their closure except for him, which goes to show that there is always someone hurting and we have to be considerate of that.
O wow. Yes that's true. I never noticed
His scenes were epic
such a great interview
That last episode was heartbreaking of season 2
Love him he's so incredible and cute
I freaking LOVE Devin so much. He is such a cinnamon roll!!! The fact that he is the youngest person on the cast and and took on a really difficult and intense roll in season 2 is PHENOMENAL and so impressive. And the wisdom and ways of speaking as well. Just BEYOND his years. I hope all the success comes your way Devin you deserve all of it
I didn't like the woman's comment (sorry don't know her name not trying to be rude) at the beginning like "yeah sorry that was not funny at all, you really are not funny" something like that...but i feel like he is being treated like a "nerd" i hate that word but what the interviewers thought at some point he was... If that was some bigger name they would not do that... Devin becomes across as a genuine soul trying to send out a message. Just the beginning annoyed me so much! Like make your guests feel comfortable. Their all actors not their character and this kid actually comes across so kind and really wants to send out a message.
That was sooo bad and cringey. 🙈🙈🙈
There are not enough nice things I can say about this beautiful human being. I love Devin so much! I always thought that him and his character were so underrated. I’m so happy that in season 2 they focused a lot more on Tyler, and that Devin has been able to get more in the public eye for people to see how amazing he really is. I hope he keeps doing more interviews for the show, especially long ones. I could listen to him talk all day. I also love seeing interviews with him with other members of the cast and seeing them hangout together, they all seem like such good friends, and it makes me really happy!
love you Devin
Devin is actually so cute and so nice. He should be hyped up more, like we barley see him on social media
Ikr, i hope they make a spinoff of 13rw and he gets spotlighted more
@@moosekalz254 yeahh that would be cool
I love him so much
i love zachs interviews. he treats his guests witht such respect and always does so much research on each person he interviews and their projects and always finds the perfect question
Have an updated interview with Devin
This is is the best interview!
DEVIN IS THE BEST
Just by seeing some of interviews of some of the cast of 13 RW I can say Devin is intelligent.. he can state and answers questions clearly and in a way many can understand and can gain knowledge and lessons from it honestly.. I starting to like him.. keep it up 👍😉
i think he could have been clay he seems so nice
Ashley Hulbert yes
Ashley Hulbert i would agree but dylan is perfect
Devin is so mature and cute and wow I am attracted to him
P.S. I accidentally called him “Tyler” so I had to edit this comment lol
IdaRae Dow I thought I was the only one attracted to him omg
great interview!
really enjoyed this interview. love watching all your interviews, you guys are amazing.
Bring Devin back for an interview about Season 2!!!!!!!!
Hmmm, Devin as Clay. I actually think Devin would have made a fantastic Clay as well. I think he would have brought something different to Clay, but still very much Clay. It would have been interesting to see. And to see maybe Dylan play Tyler would have been interesting as well. Sort of a role reversal. Though, I don't know how well Dylan would have done with Tyler. Devin portrayed Tyler really well, but I don't know how Dylan would have pulled Tyler off.
This is a really great interview! And how come Devin is just 19, but still so mature and intelligent and so well spoken!! I love this guy! ☺
"to this person" babe doesnt know zara? i love him. no but he seems like the most amazing human being. hes gonna do some great things
Wow he is amazing

Zach this is a great interview and Devin your a great person for what you stand for and what you do in the show and what you said in this interview with Zach. Devin your a great person and great actor and have a great personality.
devin druid literally portrayed potentially one of the hardest scenes for an actor to play in and y'all sleep on him AND his character
😲 wow best interview I’ve ever seen in my life
Wow
He's such a great person 🖤
Devin was so commited, he truly put his heart so much into the show and the awareness of the struggles the show talks about. He's also such an empathetic person!! Maybe he's a HSP
13RW DEFINITELY made the right decision with the cast.
Imagine if Zach Sang's team had interviewed him AFTER SEASON 2....
wow, it turns out I'm Devin Druid's double!
The dude interviewing him looks like the kid in Stranger things (Fin?) LMAO
I love this show and the interviews, and the interviewed people
He reminds me of a mix between Ryan Ross and Josh Dun..
Steamroller dude how 😂😂
Steamroller actually i do see the slightest of ryan
i can see josh definitely. looks like they could be cousins or something. what part of ryan does he look like?
The scene where he's assaulted and everything with his character suffering after that just - broke my heart and broke me down. I cried more for him than any other character...I couldn't and didn't even want to imagine all of the pain he endured...it hurt me to see him hurt...I get chills and feel sick to my stomach just thinking about what happened to him...he was so outcasted and so alone...just - *sigh - unimaginable. 😞
He's so amazing
Every time that I see him I think that he looks like nick Jonas or shawn mendes
he's so adorable God bless his heart
Prayers up for Tyler Down 🙏
I find Devin very handsome 😍❤️

I totally get Devin (why he couldn’t bring himself to watch the show)
I don’t like watching or hearing myself either.
Also it must hurt to c your friends getting hurt. (Even though it’s all acting)
He has such a nice heart. He’s such and amazing person
Dear Devin druid you're a great person and awesome man, God bless you gorgeous.

His personality is everything
Devin needs to be MORE recognized! That scene he did was EPIC! And needs to be talked about! who wants to talk about it? lol
Kiara Miranda the bathroom scene in season 2?
He did a great job on 13 reasons why
