Tyler's assault scene has been haunting me...i have two young sons and I'm having panic attacks thinking about something like that happening to them...i can't be with them everywhere, everyday...they are still very small but I plan on having many discussions with them about sexual assault, consent and bullying when they are old enough to comprehend. It's my job as a mother, a parent to raise my sons to be the type of man that I never had in my own life.

Devin Druid is extremely brave for moving forward and performing that final scene. Its horrible and disturbing and traumatizing, and THATS WHY it needed to be filmed. There are real life Tylers who have experienced what he did in that final episode and that's why it needs to be talked about. So much of what happened to Tyler needs to be discussed.

I truly have high respect for this show and the lengths they took. I know EVERYONE is talking about that scene in the final episode "unnecessary" and saying "they took it too far!" Really? What about movies like SAW and plenty others showing cruel inhumane acts towards someone? That shows how desensitized we have become to certain things. THAT form of bullying is reality and for people saying it shouldn't even be shown is exactly why those who are bullied won't speak up. This brings awareness of what DOES happen and let's those who have been bullied and especially those in a similar matter know that they are not alone, it does happen, and they can speak up. How come that scene triggers you but violence in other movies doesn't?

I’m not gonna lie, I felt bad for Tyler from Season 1 and season 2 I felt worst. I wanted to just hug him through the screen and tell him “it’s gonna be okay”. 13 Reasons why now gives me a mindset to want to help people and reach out to people who are going through these situations. All I wanna do now is make people feel better.

Yes Tyler and Hannah were the most heartbreaking to see .Tyler was eccentric and dint hve much friends everybody was all over him and it took him a lot to get his things together.Hannah was so caring and loving but everyone betrayed and cheated her and no one understood and cared for her except fr clay so it was tragic as to what happened to her .
I cried so much this season! And the brutal Tyler scene had me shaking so bad and in tears..I literally almost passed out...I had to pause the show and get myself together before continuing.

Everyone who says Tyler scene was unnecessary needs to see the point. This show isn’t about enjoyment. It’s about awareness. Men get assaulted everyday. Why is it fair that those poor kids have to go thru it yet we complain that we even had to see that scene? What about movies like hunger games or Wind river, would u rather, those r messed up. Those r movies that bring the topic of rape, murder, etc. yet no one complains about those movies. 13 reasons happens in real life and people should understand that or not watch and then tell Netflix to cancel it and they r terrible company etc...

children watch this series, I’m 18 and thought I was going to pass out after watching it. I worry for younger children who are going to see it makes me sad thinking about it. There should’ve been more a warning.
lily isabella I personally don't think anyone is ever ready to watch that scene, Dylan even said that he was not prepared to watch that scene and he knew it was coming...but, I think it could definetly scar tweens and children if they watch it and the warning at the begining of the episode wasn't very specific but, now i know what they consider "graphic violence"

Yes, there’s way too many loose ends. Not just the cliffhanger, but also just so many other questions that need answers. For instance, Chloe told Jess she was pregnant for no apparent reason at the end of the last episode, why though? Because this plot point went nowhere, just like many others 💃🏻

I've seen a lot of violent scenes in movies but I think that scene with Tyler is the most disturbing thing I have ever seen. It was so shocking and kind of graphic.

Tyler was my favourite character this season. The way he represented a bullied kid with a tag of ''perv'' around him is so incredible. He deserves much more exposure as an actor more than just a character of 'Tyler' cause he is super talented!

Watching Devin talk is like a remedy for my soul after this season. I would LOVE to listen to him have a heart to heart talk about everything and anything with other actors who are as great as him at expressing themselves, absolutely amazing

To be fair, Marcus did call Bryce out as a rapist during the game. Marcus could be the embodiment of a person who is struggling with serving justice but also fearing the loss of his chances for getting higher education

OK, were all talking about the most traumatizing scenes of season 2, but what about the best scenes. For me, the all time best scene in season 2 was the School fight. I was laughing almost the whole way through that. And the best part, was actually Courtney and Ryan at then end and Courtney being clever and pulling the fire alarm to break up the brawl (because by that point it had become a full out brawl between two sides of the school- I couldn't even count how many people were in that fight- including two of the teachers). Loved that scene.
Candace Garrett true I loved how Cyrus and his group joined with clay and their group against Bryce. Everyone standed out which I really liked. Many people were in the fight like more than half the hallway was covered with fighting. Counselor and coach also started fighting. In such a mismanagement Courtney did the wisest thing by putting on the fire alarm which calmed down the fight a little.

I know Tyler’s assault is such a violent scene to watch and at first I was so mad that they made it. But after doing research on male sexual assault this is actually really common and happens all time which I didn’t know. So I am grateful that they showed the scene because it helps viewers to see that assault can happen to anyone in many ways, and we need to be aware and there for people who are struggling. And to make sure they are seen and heard.

once you watch season 4 you’ll realize that Monty isn’t such a heartless soul as you think he’s just never really been loved so whenever someone tries to love him he wouldn’t let them love him and you kind of have this permanent sadness when you don’t love anyone or have anyone love you, yes what Monty did to Tyler was unforgivable but Monty was still a human who had feelings

In terms of the mop scene from S2E13, people SHOULD be taken aback by it because, let's not forget, these things happen in real life. I had a story extremely similar to that of Jessica's, and it's topics like these that need to be brought up forth to bring awareness and prevent them from happening again. Very well-thought out series, and such an AMAZING cast.

I went to a high school where I was bullied from grade 7 to grade 10 by different girls... but because I had a great relationship with my mom and had activites outside of school with other group of people to be with, it helped me go threw with it and not be so bad. My mom wouldn't allow me to sleep at a friends house or go to parties (except the highschool prom). I had my group of friends that my mom knew and knew their parents, which protected me. I was also involved in theater which made teachers know about me and I was hanging out with them a lot.
In this show, I don't see teachers in the hallways protecting the students, I don't see parents involved in what the kids are doing day AND night and during weekends.
I do hope all parents watch this show to see what they can do better.

Devin is actually very impressive, he's so young and yet such a good actor ! He also really knows how to talk and what to say.
it really pisses me off when people talk shit about 13 reasons why. not only is it entertaining but it actually is showing what real life is like. so many shows just sugar coat it and don’t speak truly about it. if people gave it a chance they’d see that

When Tyler got sexually assaulted by Montgomery it kinda traumatized me and made me think everything differently. I hate that people make fun of that scene, when they shouldn’t because it has happened to people before and that scene has happened to someone, how rude and cold do you have to be to laugh at something like that. My friend makes fun of it, and does gestures of a broom being shoved into someone with her hands and stuff like that and laughs. I don’t think it’s funny and I tried to explain to her that THAT does happen and it’s not funny because it could happen to anyone. She says that it wasn’t real, but it WAS real. It did happen to someone, they just recreated it to make a conversation about it. She still doesn’t understand even after watching the scene. She wouldn’t make fun of it if it actually happened to her (I hope she never has to experience that tho) it hasn’t happened to me but I take it seriously because it does happen, and that’s why they’re talking about it.
sometimes, laughing about something serious like that can also be a sign for insecurity. Some people rather make fun of it because they are not strong enough to confess how they actually feel.

Yes but also it felt like for him everything was about Hannah and him... he was pushing so much for Jessica to come forward, not really realizing how hard it is for her. He posted the tapes without realizing how much it would affect everyone else, and slut shaming and victim blaming I mean come on...

im more annoyed that people root the zach hannah love team rather than clay and hannah. what people dont get is, hannah left clay to do everything. thats ehy he is so angry. zach fir me is still a jerk for putting clay in the same position just because he is too afraid. and i emphatize with jess but a girl died because you let them bully her for basically wanting to tell you that you got raped. and you cant do it for her?!
I think it was important for that perspective to be apart of these topics because he often was the voice of people who are judgemental or dismissive at first. It was important for him to eventually break down that wall and become more understanding for people in real life who don't want to accept that life is more complicated than we would like it to be.
Also he kept being angry at Justin for spending time w his parents. I mean????
Devin’s story line fucked me up. Ross’ broke my heart. Christian is gonna be the next huge actor. I feel like Devin is gonna be a really great indie film actor now. Alisha is amazing. And I love Dylan in Wallows 😻😹
