Exactly,he played his part honestly and emotionally and i was crying in that scene where he admits that he made a mistake in hannah's case in the court ....!!
Tyler's assault scene has been haunting me...i have two young sons and I'm having panic attacks thinking about something like that happening to them...i can't be with them everywhere, everyday...they are still very small but I plan on having many discussions with them about sexual assault, consent and bullying when they are old enough to comprehend. It's my job as a mother, a parent to raise my sons to be the type of man that I never had in my own life.
Kay Rose you are right in my opinion if I may teach your kids to always respect women and also men and most of all have that bond with your kids where they are open with u about problems at school being bullied or any little thing because these things happen and it's a very sensitive topic I hate when people get bullied.
justin and zach "improved" the most for me, especially justin, his character development is phenomenal. it's good to see some of the characters redeeming themselves.
Yeah, Sexual assault sexual assault hey Jessica, never mentionin Tyler as much (p.s haven't finished the whole video yet)Also, season1 touched sexual assault , bullying, suicide, season2 gun violence. Period? Really?
Tuugii Tse EXACTLY! I feel like what happened to Tyler in the bathroom has been the elephant in the room in several interviews. They just focus n the gun violence.
Everyone who says Tyler scene was unnecessary needs to see the point. This show isn’t about enjoyment. It’s about awareness. Men get assaulted everyday. Why is it fair that those poor kids have to go thru it yet we complain that we even had to see that scene? What about movies like hunger games or Wind river, would u rather, those r messed up. Those r movies that bring the topic of rape, murder, etc. yet no one complains about those movies. 13 reasons happens in real life and people should understand that or not watch and then tell Netflix to cancel it and they r terrible company etc...
Francesca Colby finally someone who understands why they did it. It got on my nerves when people were saying it was unnecessary because it wasn't. People need to understand that men get assaulted as well not just women/girls.
children watch this series, I’m 18 and thought I was going to pass out after watching it. I worry for younger children who are going to see it makes me sad thinking about it. There should’ve been more a warning.
lily isabella I personally don't think anyone is ever ready to watch that scene, Dylan even said that he was not prepared to watch that scene and he knew it was coming...but, I think it could definetly scar tweens and children if they watch it and the warning at the begining of the episode wasn't very specific but, now i know what they consider "graphic violence"
Devin Druid is extremely brave for moving forward and performing that final scene. Its horrible and disturbing and traumatizing, and THATS WHY it needed to be filmed. There are real life Tylers who have experienced what he did in that final episode and that's why it needs to be talked about. So much of what happened to Tyler needs to be discussed.
I truly have high respect for this show and the lengths they took. I know EVERYONE is talking about that scene in the final episode "unnecessary" and saying "they took it too far!" Really? What about movies like SAW and plenty others showing cruel inhumane acts towards someone? That shows how desensitized we have become to certain things. THAT form of bullying is reality and for people saying it shouldn't even be shown is exactly why those who are bullied won't speak up. This brings awareness of what DOES happen and let's those who have been bullied and especially those in a similar matter know that they are not alone, it does happen, and they can speak up. How come that scene triggers you but violence in other movies doesn't?
beneaththestars right!!! and people need to understand, as crazy as it is shit like this happens and it’s better to be aware than be completely oblivious to the topic.
Rose Dehgan I think that it makes people feel traumatized makes it more real. If you’re traumatized by it imagine how the people who have had it happen to them. It shows the real world and how we should be more sympathetic or at least more kind
beneaththestars there’s a whole lot they could have done without in this trash season. It wasn’t necessary to show the full assault. It honestly is one of the things that made it a horrible season
I’m not gonna lie, I felt bad for Tyler from Season 1 and season 2 I felt worst. I wanted to just hug him through the screen and tell him “it’s gonna be okay”. 13 Reasons why now gives me a mindset to want to help people and reach out to people who are going through these situations. All I wanna do now is make people feel better.
Yes Tyler and Hannah were the most heartbreaking to see .Tyler was eccentric and dint hve much friends everybody was all over him and it took him a lot to get his things together.Hannah was so caring and loving but everyone betrayed and cheated her and no one understood and cared for her except fr clay so it was tragic as to what happened to her .
I cried so much this season! And the brutal Tyler scene had me shaking so bad and in tears..I literally almost passed out...I had to pause the show and get myself together before continuing.
Tyler was my favourite character this season. The way he represented a bullied kid with a tag of ''perv'' around him is so incredible. He deserves much more exposure as an actor more than just a character of 'Tyler' cause he is super talented!

The scene when they all comforted clay during the dance when their song came on absolutely BROKE me, that song is so powerful and Dylan did an amazing performance. I really felt that one.
Watching Devin talk is like a remedy for my soul after this season. I would LOVE to listen to him have a heart to heart talk about everything and anything with other actors who are as great as him at expressing themselves, absolutely amazing
I have a question guys. Was Hannah a ghost or was she there because Clay imagined her to be and that's why she never gave answers because Clay didn't know them ? (Edit: thank you all for your answers and interpretations :) )

my belief is that she is a figment of his imagination. he is imagining the ideal of her being there knowing exactly what to say, since she can't actually be there to help him heal through this process. hope it helps x
Yes, there’s way too many loose ends. Not just the cliffhanger, but also just so many other questions that need answers. For instance, Chloe told Jess she was pregnant for no apparent reason at the end of the last episode, why though? Because this plot point went nowhere, just like many others 💃🏻
Sheridan Spencer it is not cancelled wtf! And why would they take the show off?? Seriously you're what's wrong with this country, trying to be blind to all of these important topics! All this does happen in real life! Not everything is going to be rainbows aand butterflies 😑😑
I've seen a lot of violent scenes in movies but I think that scene with Tyler is the most disturbing thing I have ever seen. It was so shocking and kind of graphic. But I had heard of stories like this in the news, so I think it is important they showed it, but I don't know if they should have portrayed it less violently
Hannah’s suicide scene was more intense & disturbing. I don’t why everyone is finding this hard to see. Yes it was intense but it was not anything for people to say “cancel the show”
TYLER BETTER GET A SEASON 3 WHERE HE GETS JUSTICE!!!! The male character deserves to get justice!!! I'm still shaking from watching what happens to him!!! >:'( HE deserves justice
Is it bad to say I love watching the guy who plays Bryce interviews because he plays his role so well it's so hard to move past his character but he's so sweet
I really don't like how host ignored Christian all the time. She asked questions from Dylan, Alisha then she skipped Christian and continued asking Ross and Devin. Christian felt uncomfortable, that is visible.
I know Tyler’s assault is such a violent scene to watch and at first I was so mad that they made it. But after doing research on male sexual assault this is actually really common and happens all time which I didn’t know. So I am grateful that they showed the scene because it helps viewers to see that assault can happen to anyone in many ways, and we need to be aware and there for people who are struggling. And to make sure they are seen and heard.
I love the scene where they danced in the end. It's like a cathartic scene when everyone come together and heal together. Even Courtney chose to be on the good side. Except you know, Bryce, Tyler, Justin, and the selfish Marcus.
Aliyah Bell I remembered Justin to not be dancing because he was alone at some back room. Didn't Jessica went to look for him literally the next scene?
To be fair, Marcus did call Bryce out as a rapist during the game. Marcus could be the embodiment of a person who is struggling with serving justice but also fearing the loss of his chances for getting higher education
OK, were all talking about the most traumatizing scenes of season 2, but what about the best scenes. For me, the all time best scene in season 2 was the School fight. I was laughing almost the whole way through that. And the best part, was actually Courtney and Ryan at then end and Courtney being clever and pulling the fire alarm to break up the brawl (because by that point it had become a full out brawl between two sides of the school- I couldn't even count how many people were in that fight- including two of the teachers). Loved that scene.
Candace Garrett true I loved how Cyrus and his group joined with clay and their group against Bryce. Everyone standed out which I really liked. Many people were in the fight like more than half the hallway was covered with fighting. Counselor and coach also started fighting. In such a mismanagement Courtney did the wisest thing by putting on the fire alarm which calmed down the fight a little.
Honestly she was so selfish for that. I understand destroying her picture/ story but the others pictures & girls didn’t have a choice. It was not right at all & now Bryce could get away cause they have no evidence smh
Loved that the season shed more light on mental illness and factors that contribute to psychological distress. However, I do think that the content is hard to process, especially because it’s real. It happens. Honestly, Shout out to those who survived high school bullying/traumatization and to those who are fighting against their own demons. You guys are brave.
DUDE I don’t understand why people are so mad about the Tyler scene like People LITERALLY can relate to this scene like no one forced your asses to watch it ok ? it even has a warning in the beginning 🙄😤 and it’s really disrespectful for the people who actually have been through this shit like man take a moment and think about that !

IWishILivedInTheUSA !!! Agree
Hannah’s suicide scene was more intense & disturbing. I don’t why everyone is finding this hard to see. Yes it was intense but it was not anything for people to say “cancel the show”
Same here I thought the red wedding was the worst thing I’ve seen but this just sort of topped it
there was no need for anyone to see that, it’s made us “aware” but for what reason? I personally don’t get why they chose to do it, made me feel sick

Wow i really like Devin, he is so kind and cute 💕
I cried the whole last episode of season 2 especially with tylor😭
ragan carrillo same
I love Dylan and Christian’s jacket’s but I bet they’re expensive 😂
Ruben_Brown samee 😩😂
Ikr
Dylan’s jacket is literally from Walmart and Tony’s is from H&M.
Ruben_Brown LOL just kidding.
Brandon Diaz I WAS GONNA SAY 😂😂😂
I love the scene where they danced in the end. It's like a cathartic scene when everyone come together and heal together. Even Courtney chose to be on the good side. Except you know, Bryce, Tyler, Justin, and the selfish Marcus.
Erick Son justin was dancing with them but I agree too
Aliyah Bell I remembered Justin to not be dancing because he was alone at some back room. Didn't Jessica went to look for him literally the next scene?
To be fair, Marcus did call Bryce out as a rapist during the game. Marcus could be the embodiment of a person who is struggling with serving justice but also fearing the loss of his chances for getting higher education
Did anyone esle start to lowkey ship Alex and Zach?
Damarius Ingram nope
Do you think Zach is gay?
I did
Meeee
HelloAnna he could be bi
CYRUS STIRRED THE SHIT OUT OF THAT FIGHT!!! I LOVE THAT GUY!!!
Ya Mr Porter and the coach punching each other was hilarious
i love devin! he's such a great actor and a great human being, he deserves so much love and recognition, especially after his work in season 2
My baby Devin Druid he's so perfect 😘❤️😍😍
DEVIN IS THE CUTEST THING EVER I CANT
Found this recommendation Saturday to watch & haven't stopped watching since.
Devin could get it. He did a great job. Though I still think the scene was too much I was curious to see how he handled it. Respect.
Devin Druid is a very well speaker
11:30 "Devin, for sure, you have quite a season too, I’m sure everybody knows what happened, I don’t want to get too DEEP into it"....
literally my thoughts when she said that. like uh...pun intended?
lmfao
don't... it's too soon braahhh
Zyniac stop😂😂
Zyniac Too soon, bro Too soon
Is anyone else happy to see clay and Justin together the whole season????
Damn, Devin answered that extremely well. All of them, really good talkers.
Nina stealing the box of polaroids was so sick why tell me why you did that :(
SUMAN RAWAT when did that happen
Laila K. In 13th episode she was burning the polaroids in a bonfire
Honestly she was so selfish for that. I understand destroying her picture/ story but the others pictures & girls didn’t have a choice. It was not right at all & now Bryce could get away cause they have no evidence smh
She did it to forget and put her assault behind her
Helen Griffin in that case she should have just took hers and burned hers. What she did was selfish and now Bryce gets away
Devin is so smart! ❤️
Can we get some appreciation for Devin though? What a sweet dude.
Also, damn, Devin is so intelligent and thorough and articulate and all around seems like a brilliant soul. He’s going places big.
Devin is soooo sweet. Seeing him just brings me back to the bathroom scene and it breaks my heart 😭😭😭
Devin is so articulate wow
I love Devin
I feel like the interviewer didn't give the time and space that Devin deserved specially since it was such a sensible topic
Devin is an outstanding actor! I'm so proud of him
As people walk in the background there is one of the best characters alive speaking just one wall away. ✨💓😭
Ikr???? This studio has often so epic interviews and these people are missing it. Jesus
Devin is incredibly talented & so intelligent. Bravo!
DEVIN IS SO SMART.
