I love how dedicated Octo is to playing Eddie - while the others are corpsing over his various, abjectly ridiculous reactions and theories, he's playing it SO GODDAMN STRAIGHT, I love it.
When that colour hit, I instantly played the intro to Crossing Souls. Though to be honest, that intro theme is pretty appropriate for Oddballs, given the subject matter.
Ralph Bakshi, illustrations in the Hobbit, and a few pieces of art in some text based video games would have firmly established what a hobbit hole looks like. Granted an avid reader could picture it from Tolkien's description alone. The only real question is whether or not the PCs would know. I would only wager on the chance of Clarence knowing but not anyone else.
Well I thought they were in an old bunker. Many of the ammo bunkers I saw in the military looked like hobbit holes. More or less depending on how covered in vegetation they were. So I don't know how common those would be to our group, but maybe there is a military base we haven't talked about and someone has seen them there. Pure Speculation obviously.
I was talking about Jesse speculating about whether people in 1992 would see it according to that analogy. I was pointing out that there are quite a few ways that they could.
Theory Fern is transported to a future that everyone is dead by my guess a nuclear attack or something because of almost no life in her surrounding area and mushrooms. Also, think Fern is an alien that didn't know she an alien because Clarence was the one who touches the balls in the beginning but Fern is the one affected which make no sense. But she was meant to be the one affect the whole time.
Does anyone know what video conferencing software they use? Whenever I'm streaming and someone joins late, all the cameras get screwed up. I've used both Zoom and Skype, and both have this problem.

It is like calling someone a Indian giver that wanted to return something. I'm not saying you should or shouldn't use it just letting you know it is kind of racist. I used the term myself many times before knowing where it came from and don't feel bad about it. I just wish I knew sooner so I could stop using it sooner. Anyway, just letting you know in case you didn't know.
Ze Great Pumpkinani She is rollplaying, she’s the self absorbed popular girl. She’s not as easily cowed by adults (as many teens especially less awkward ones). Granted she’s not the best character but she’s definitely role playing that character.

As for being obnoxious, well yes that’s the character a popular teen girl, pretty much the definition of obnoxious.

Someone shoots a gun at her feet, also unphased and just acts bitchy despite her life being threatened with a fucking gun. Her character acts like someone who knows there are no real consequences to the dangers she faces. How is that not meta-roleplaying? A player would know that in a game like this their character will probably not die, but if someone is actually roleplaying as their character, their character would face everything as life or death. And I get it, not everyone is an amazing actor or can immerse themselves that deeply, and that's fiiiiineeeee but I still find it annoying and it makes her character more and more unbearable because she won't be punished by the dm for being as bitchy and obnoxious as she wants her character to be.
