JP I feel happy and great whenever I watch one of this shows. It shows that you can put up a great stream, with production value, and you do this not only expecting new subs but new viewers. It shows your commitment to streaming, more than playing random games throughout the year (not saying i dont enjoy watching you or others play games) but once in a while having shows like these give joy to my life. It way more entertaining than most stuff on other medias and on twitch. SO FOR THAT REASON THANK YOU!!!!
Okay so the cast will probably not read this because youtube comments are often dumb BUT: I recently started watching thisshow and I have to pay major respect to the cast for the civil discussions when they disagree. Great show!
Really funny watching this now and seeing Cohh doubt Persona 5 so much, shaking his head when Zeke is praising it lol and then seeing how much Cohh ended up loving it when he did play it and especially by the end, getting emotional even.
Thanks a lot for your videos. I'm rarely able to watch when you are live, but I enjoy Dropped Frames so much. Good lists, made a few buys on Steam again after watching your lists and debates :D Happy new year ^^d
Those emotions that JP's talking about, I got with SC2 when it first came out. I got ladder anxiety like nobody's business, the better I did, the more anxious I was to play.
rade1809 This was my first thought too... SC2 would definitively been my GOTY that year despite (or maybe partially because) the crippling anxiety keeping me from playing it. That strong emotional investment deserves recognition.
I completely agree with Cohh on Horizon. That is probably the best "Ubisoft-style" open world game out there and it stretches the hardware to its absolute limit but man I would have wanted to play with keyboard and mouse. I played on PS4 Pro and it still struggled to keep a steady 30 fps without drops, if that doesn't negatively impact your enjoyment of a game you need better standards.
lie he didn't play it in dynamic 4K 30FPS instead 1080p and 30FPS which pro have no fucking issue...pcmasterubaterace are bunch of retards annoyed by 1 or 2 frame drops.
@@RebornGalaxy imagine being such a brainlet that you settle for a single narrow, limited experience because you can’t conceive of anything except the euphoria of corporation worship. PC living rent free in your head, truly ironic.
Nioh is the only platinum trophy on my psn account. I think the mission system as opposed to the open world of dark souls games helped push me to get everything.
I must've missed zekes play through of south part. I for sure thought that would be in his top 10 if not his GOTY. He must've been disappointed with it?
Good of them to stick to their guts, but Nier is the biggest omission. Specially on soundtrack, it is easily one of the top OST of the decade. Still, it is their list.
100% with cohh on Horizon. Didnt even play it because anything with that much shooting on console is a no go for me. Same reason i didnt play destiny 2 on console. If Horizon was on PC i would play it immediately. Also agree with his views on Zelda. It would have been an average game at best without the zelda fandom. The weapon durability completely took away any idea to play this game for me.
I don't agree with Coh on Zelda. It is nothing like The Witcher and cannot be called a Witcher 3 lite. They are very different games. As a non-zelda fan I can say that this game is good, not as a Zelda game, but as a stand-alone game. It has physics that no other game, as far as I know, has. Also it did sandbox open world better than any game to date, better than the witcher (which is fine, because the witcher was not even aiming for that.) so I would say it is a very unique game. It attracted a lot of people for it's mechanics that I do not remember seeing in any other game, rather than anything else. I can see why one would not be interested in it. If you do not like being aimless for the most part and exploring, this game is not for you. If you do not like throwing away your weapons instead of holding onto it, it's not for you, but it is a good game because it has good mechanics, crafted well for an open world sandbox experience. Not because it;s a Zelda game, because really, the Zelda part was only a backdrop.
Aion played the game for 10 hours and it doesn't hook me the same as other games I played that is OpenRPG. I can probably say this because I haven't watched or played any Zelda game. Cohh only made the Witcher lite as an Example and he wasn't shitting on JP's opinion, he was just clearing everything because people think it's an opinion dispute. P.S. Prey has almost the same uniqueness as ZeldaBOTW and that game hooked me more than Zelda.
I do not think Zelda BOTW is for everyone (Also, I was never a fan of the series, nor am I. Just of this game). The game did not cater to everyone, which is actually something I like. It caters to those that want to just go off on their own and explore with no real aim, which is why it is the only Zelda game that I excuse for rehashing the same plot, because the plot is not there for any other reason to give a direction to the game and signal the beginning and the end. What I am trying to say is that it has masterfully crafted mechanics...but those mechanics are good for the people that appreciate the type of open world the game is trying to go for. They are by no means bad mechanics. They are elegant, adding toward the whole that is the game. You could not take the breakable gear and put them in, say, Horizon or the Witcher, because these games are another shade of Open World with only few similarities. I think that the difference is, and why some people are dissatisfied with BotW is that by hearing "Open world" maybe they expected something akin to those other games, where you are allowed to go anywhere, but they give you aim and the game is actually about something, but design-wise, BotW goes for a more open world than those games, which only fits those people that are fine with having no direction. I mean, the Witcher takes place in an Open World, but it tells you where to go and if you veer off, you will find that the game becomes artificially tough, which is fine, but they are barely the same thing.
BOTW main inspiration is Minecraft's survival mode. The entire world is interactable, you have to manage resources to progress, weapons break and exploration is it's main focus.
What is that supper crazy moment that cohh and jp are talking about in assassins creed. I didnt think it was possible for me to dissagree with someone as much as I do now. Im kind of anoyed and feel like Zelda did not get enouph of a fight in terms of what it has done for the entire gaming genre.
no the claim he made was a factual claim that the reason everyone liked the game so much was just because the game has Zelda in the title. That is an accusation about whats going on in other peoples heads claiming to know the reasoning behind other peoples opinions. He is totally entitled to his own dislike of the game but the claim that he knows the exact reasoning as to why I or anyone else likes it is wrong.. certainly for myself as I had never played a Zelda game before and im sure for many others.
Nara Narada Agreed. The physics really helped bring the game to life, plus there were so many times Nintendo managed to incorporate them into the game in fun and exiting ways. We haven't really seen that in games until very recently.

I really can’t wait to watch Cohh play Diversity original sin 2 again because that game is just a joy to watch .
Excellent show guys as usual and nice setup for the game of the year stuff.
Wish I had a dollar for every time I heard the phrase "this game came outta nowhere"
Cohh's PTSD when seeing JP's number 1 lol.
I'm actually shocked Cohh didn't put MEA in his top 10 with how much he was thoroughly enjoying it while playing
Those emotions that JP's talking about, I got with SC2 when it first came out. I got ladder anxiety like nobody's business, the better I did, the more anxious I was to play.

Also divinity original sin is fantastic when played in multiplayer
always enjoy the shows guys, peace.
What song is Cohh talking about with 1,2,3,4, from Xenoblade X?
I literally missed the part when JP revealed his nr.1, was the chat going crazy?
Chat called it just about 60 seconds before his reveal, and they erupted with joy and hate all at once when he said it. Twas beautiful.
Great episode guys!
It makes me extremely happy to see Horizon as the one game that appeared on all 3 very different lists. It was easily my #1.
Anyone have the clip oh Laina scaring Cohh
oh god I wish I could see chats reaction so bad after JP's GOTY reveal
Cohh looked like he just smelt a fart for the first time lol

Can someone post the list please. I don't want to watch the whole video. Thanks.
Nioh is the only platinum trophy on my psn account. I think the mission system as opposed to the open world of dark souls games helped push me to get everything.
sorry zeke but makoto is best waifu
Wow, FO4-VR didn't even feature. Rough times.
BOTW main inspiration is minecraft's survival mode. I don't think its Witcher 3 and Skyrim.
"I'm just going to reach in ur ass and grab a water"-eke 2017
I still say "aw yiss" all the time because of Paradigm
this was excellent.
What the hell is going on with Cohh's shirt?
He got his tattoo 2 days ago and zipped the sleeve up, because new tattoos need air to heal.
new tat
I must've missed zekes play through of south part. I for sure thought that would be in his top 10 if not his GOTY. He must've been disappointed with it?
1:05:50 FOR VICTORY!!!
I kinda agree with JP, a good game should give you an emotional response, and that game sure made me feel a whole lot of emotions
Best way to kill a bottle of 15 year old Scotch. I look forward to the road ahead :)
Wooooo! Xenoblade made a list! :D
Prey was more System Shock than Bioshock, it has much better gameplay mechanics than Bioshock could ever claim to have...
Good of them to stick to their guts, but Nier is the biggest omission. Specially on soundtrack, it is easily one of the top OST of the decade. Still, it is their list.
Sad South Park didn't make anyone's Top 10 :(

Awww yeahhh
i agree with Cohh, Wolfenstein was great - especially the gameplay
Jp is not a gamer he is a streamer

Cohh was spot on. Horrible departure from the classic LoZ playstyle. If it was skinned any other way it would not have been as enjoyable for anyone.
I disagree. I think that people loved the exploration aspect of the game, the progression and the atmosphere. The game isn't big on nostalgia at all.
Zelda is just a poor man's Dark Souls
lol you need to be rich to buy Zelda as you have to buy a whole system just to play it.
2024 anyone?
What is that supper crazy moment that cohh and jp are talking about in assassins creed. I didnt think it was possible for me to dissagree with someone as much as I do now. Im kind of anoyed and feel like Zelda did not get enouph of a fight in terms of what it has done for the entire gaming genre.
yeh the point about Zelda just being good because it was "Zelda" was so stupid and plain wrong.. im sure not every game critic is a Zelda fan..
David 527 It isnt "plain wrong". It's a fucking opinion.

No Nier Automata in anyone's list? This is the best Dropped Frames episode! ヽ༼ ʘ̚ل͜ʘ̚༽ノ
Indi Visible I think the anime culture is pretty rabid when it comes to that.
They just dont understand that zelda is on another level, just like FF7 back then. Zelda's physic dude you cant compare to anything this year
Nara Narada Agreed. The physics really helped bring the game to life, plus there were so many times Nintendo managed to incorporate them into the game in fun and exiting ways. We haven't really seen that in games until very recently.
Nintendie fanbois are a blight on the industry.
