    You're consistent process of elimination and engineering is why I watch every one of your videos. I'm the guy that takes aftermarket parts and modifies them to make them better and it seems as a standard you do the same. I would also really like to purchase a throttle body spacer for a K20 Z3!

    I absolutely LOVE that exhaust you guys built for this Ep3! I actually own an Ep3 that I’d really like that same exhaust for. Maybe I could bring you guys my car sometime. Fortunately enough I live about an hour and a half away!

    Rdx injectors will solve that, I ran 96% at 8400rpm w/ cycle duty at 12.7 -13.0 AFR on stockers on my FBO 8th gen si.. After OEM rdx injectors im down to around 75% and picked up some decent power. Awesome videos Guys!

      I agree, RDX injectors are the best budget injector I've used on hondas. That screen they removed changed spray pattern, not in a good way. With the RDX they get flow and honda optimized spray pattern.

    Love the content guys. Wow I can't believe how clean that ep3 engine bay is. Love the exhaust also. Looking foward to seeing more of George's Mugen too that thing is sweet. Keep up the great work guys.

    Rbc...Rbc...Rbc...Thanks for solving an age old question for a k20 vs k24.. I have a suggestion... Buy an RBC put a j37 Throttle body on and dyno it.. If its possible go even one step further and get the jdm k20 intake cam..(one for george too) put oem k20 valvesprings on the k24.. Rev it to 8500 Thats as much power the k24 would make on a budget and not touching the head..and yeah when u change the cam change the cam gear to 50° from the 25° stock.. Also do a j37 throttle on george's k20 and than we have most stock tuned honda k20 vs k24..
    Keep up the good work..love the new content and its good when you are waiting for a new video..that means you are doing something right.
    How copy-paste are k20 vs k24 dyno's now..just 25hp more

      stefce trajkovski the k24 can’t rev that high without a type s oil pump, after 76-7800 rpm it loses oil pressure and is not healthy for the motor, you’ll eat the bearings, get a type s oil pump or a 4 piston type s ported oil pump and you can rev the k24 to the moon.

    I can agree with doing the rbc on the k24. Before i did the rbc swap my torque dropped like that but after the rbc it held wayyyy better up top and by redline i was making 10wtq more compared to my stock manifold because of how much better torque was holding

      Even a universal weld on twin loop would be nice . They could sell them, even do titanium option. Prolly gonna be a $200-400 muffler but it'll be worth it. If they ever offer it

    I find it odd that you had such an issue with the stock injectors. I don't think it went above 75% duty to make 217whp on my K24a2 build.

      Camlobes Vtec on the k series not a lot from what I’ve seen, the older series motors can get some crazy gains from porting the throttle body runners

      My k20a2 , 70mm rbc, 70mm sk2 throttle body, custom 421 header, custom 3" exhaust, doctronic ecu, and makes 241 whp

      I made one,up sized my header exit to 3inch all the way to resonator and muffler..i run my oem fg2 reso and muffler...no rasp,sounds allmost stock under 4k rpms...
      When u go wot the intake sounds more then the exhaust its awesome..had to add 12% fuel so it makes tons of power..had to use rdx injectors because i was at 98% duty cycle..where i live exhaust mods gets your car towed away so im good..catless

    Can't you get those kind of gains from just bigger injectors and a tune alone? I can't 100% agree a 3" exhaust itself provides the additional HP

      Aret Zelli We actually did a back to back and the spray pattern still looks good with the screen off. I heard most of the 1000cc injectors are de capped 550cc.

      You might be reading the sheet wrong. There was no losses. Look at 10:07 for the before and after

      If that’s before and after on the same chart everything under 5200 rpm was a loss with no gains until about 5300 rpm

    Hey John, I know this is probably a off topic question regarding an S2000, do you happen to know about the ticking problem some s2000's have usually at start up that last quite some time for it too slowly go away? Usually heard from inside the cabin noise seems like it's between the firewall and underneath the dash. Thanks! Keep up the good work 👍

      Timmybm665 The ticking noise is often lifters a little loose. Right after start up they will also make a noise from the starter hanging up. This will only be 1-2 seconds after start up. Then there’s a TCT that will make a noise. You need to figure out which one of these so you don’t chase your tail and throw money at the wrong thing.

    Hey John, unrelated to the vidoe but my brother just picked up a 2020 Civic Sport 2.0 with CVT. Would you say it's ok to change out the break-in oil at 500 miles with Royal Purple?

      Leave the break in oil until honda says change it. Then you can use the royal purple, even though that's not the best out there

      @@trumpetplyrmatt - thanks Peter. Car is only at 600 miles. I think Honda says to leave it in for 5,000 miles, I'll have to call the dealer and check. I know John changed out his Z06 oil at like 700 miles or so with Royal Purple, it's in a video somewhere but couldn't tell you which one, but that's where I got the idea. What do you recommend over the Royal Purple? I was thinking Amsoil.

      @@mikea5205 AMSOIL uses Engineered Base Stock, higher Oxidation Stability, also AMSOIL Oil is cleaner as new in the bottle than all other oils. Comparing new oils, tested in a lab from brand new bottles off the shelf - I have seen ISO Particle counts as low as 14/12/9 on (AMSOIL ATM 10W30) vs most other oils are as high as 19/17/16 or high as 21/19/17. Using an oil with ISO Cleanliness codes at 14/12/9 will scientifically reduce wear 7-10 times, or put it another way, increase the useful life of your engine 7-10 times.

      Ok , its automatic. Could a 7 year old 730 cca battery be revived? With methods even sweet project cars has posted dec. 2019. The battery seems to be more stubborn even to jump box starting now. (Part time car) I did connect the negative cable to a metal prong that did hold the engine cover as a grounds after sitting another week. All the lights flicker when engine on only.
      Now its january and it doesn't even crank the engine w/ the jump box.
      Hondas can be very fast na too. 12 second buddys built b16 eg full interior. I'll probably get rid of this comment by tomorrow lol, . Thanks for the channel and contents

      Just run 3inch piping from your header to your resonator...will cost you less then 80$ ...our resonator and muffler flow more then enough thank me later

      Lol. I had that same issue upon installing a short ram intake except i was trying to lean it out. Maybe i should have used a k&n or takada system haha.

      rJstuff n diy One of the tricks from the Gas mileage nerds is to run a tube over to the exhaust manifold. This works in closed loop operation and forces the computer to lean out the target AFs. Not good for power but saves gas. Lol.

      @@LHTPerformance i might check that out. Ill keep that in mind. I guess it'll be a little short ram hot rodder haha. With a stock muffler lol. Though i hear that even some modern toyota and scion tc (2ar-fe)? Have bypass mufflers that let it flow better.
      An import jdm based magazine said the 180 rated 2011 tc made 211 hp after the 3rd dyno run.

      Mk2vrt if that was true why is there fuel compensation tables based on temperature? Like lht said if colder the air is denser more oxygen. More oxygen needs more fuel otherwise it will lean out.
