    Its very refreshing to see people who do this for a living run into the same issues we driveway wrenchers do. Random bolts falling off stuff, all your tools out by the time you're done, cant find something so you get a new one then you lose the new one but find the old one.

    The trick to those "camber" bolts, if you ever have to get it free. Biggest breaker bar you have + penetrating fluid + heat to get the nut off, put the nut on the end of the bolt, cool the bolt with more penetrating fluid. Torch the knuckle and get the knuckle as hot as possible without heating the bolt. BFH the bolt. Once it budges, it will come out.

      wantapgt We actually did two partial runs first. It was a previous tune I did, so it was fairly close.

    A great simple build! The EP3 had such a low VTEC cross over, I am sure its a much more fun car now. Just needs a little breathing room on the back end haha. This was a great build to follow!

      The EP3 K20A3 doesn't really have a VTEC cross over.

      @@stasilin5533 yes it does, just on intake side only and it comes on at 2300rpm. k20a's k24a's have vtec on both intake and exhaust and comes on at 5500rpm. K20a3 has vtec, just not the performance version of vtec.

    Awesome Video John, George,Jeff..... it doesnt always go smooth when doing mods or repairs, (the frozen bolt on rear LCA n fuel pump issue, alignment). I love that you included the unplanned delays, even pro shops run into issues here n there. I Enjoyed all 30mins of it!! Loved engine start up, you got me good!!! Lol. 😂

    So most of the harness hooks up to the K20 or K24 engine? My plan is to swap out the K20A3 to an later to a later So engine or K24 engine

    I'll be honest i havent seen the other parts but did you by chance buy a kit for the mounts? im buying a A2 and have the generic run down going for it like cams, ported/polished head, oil pump etc... i just wanna know if i have to buy the motor mounts separately lol

    Are you pretty excited for the S2000 having a re-release for 2020? I am super excited. I wonder if the car would be any fun if they used the K20C engine instead of the F22C engine. I know that won't happen, but I can imagine.

      wackomanx It’s not a re release of the S2000. These are potential optional front bumper and lights. Right now it’s a prototype build by Honda in Japan.

    As much OEM parts that you use why not use OE coolant? Surely you'll understand that not all coolant is the same.
    Also why havent you guys invested in a vacuum fill system for the cooling? Turns it into a 5 minute job

      I don't like to mix coolants. The car came with green, without flushing the system I prefer stick with the same fluid.

    Love the build,
    But a quick question,about the rear 5 lug.
    Did you just swap out the hub, or did you swap out the whole assembly. I know the pad caliper and rotor are identical dimension. Yes I know it's one extra lug nut. Just wanting to save on labor or swapping out the whole rear upright.

      Uber ride share We changed just the hub. The lower bolt was frozen.

      Stock EP3 piping is 1 3/4" super tiny stuff

    I dont know if k-pro is the same as s300 v3, but you can set your tps through hondata

      running a cold air intake in most parts of Florida is suicide for your engine. Flash flooding in the rainy season every year

      Intake will be addressed on next stage - header, intake, 3” exhaust next and retune 👍🏻 we just needed to get it running and stock airbox did not fit in k24a2

    i have a friend with a 2004 civic SIR ep3 in alberta canada and thinking of replicating your build. what ecu and engine management did you use for this build? did you reuse the 5 speed open differential? and can we replace the stock flywheel with dc5 type r chromoly LW flywheel? thanks in advance.

    Are you sure the bearing hub shaft is the same size for the five lug swap ..make sure the wheels are on flush

      if you have the vehicle about $2.5k for this type build with stock exhaust.
      Kpro - $900-1300 depending on where you get it
      K24a2/ K24a longblock - $700
      Flywheel and Clutch from RSX-S/06-11SI - $300-500
      Optional-
      4-2-1Header + 3" exhaust $900-1400
      CAI - $100-200
      Stiffer engine mounts - $300-500
      k20a2 oil pump - $280-400
      everything else is a straight swap really and most parts are interchangable between the k20a3 and k24's.

    I have a question I desperately need an answer to. I've recently completed my euro r k20a swap ek, and its bogging down at wot only. Clean sweep on the tps, new pump and filter, new oem k20a2 crank sensor, 320cc oem injectors, 50psi at the rail steady. I've tried various basemaps hondata provides and I still cant find one that doesnt do this. So far, the k20a2, itr cam, cai, header calibration runs the car best in terms of drivability, but the prb itr type r cal runs it best. Just not on wot. If I ease into it, it screams. Vtec functions as it should, cooling operates perfectly, vss operates as it should (gauge and ecu), all grounds are clean, tight, and proper. I'm loosing my mind chasing this down. It's a prb ecu, and yes I'm running the proper 02 rsx type s factory wideband denso o2 sensor. Secondary disabled. Lean protection on. Multiplexor disabled, trans gearing set to integra type r. No knocking, no valve noise, solid oil pressure. No check engine lights, but it still does this bog at wot. Is this a timing related thing?? To the best of my knowledge the motor has never been opened. It's very clean. What basemap tune do you guys load onto these k20a's?

      You need a piggy back ecu to tune it correctly. kpro or aem.

      @@musshwins412 Once the car was tuned the issue went away so im assuming it was related to the k20a itr basemap hondata provides. I run 93 at sea level and the tunes are for 91 at 3000ft so my o2 was leaning out the tune compensating for better fuel than the map itself was looking for.

      Carlos David / 205whp low?=250hp at the Franck from a 2.4L NA motor. 20% more displacement & more than 40% extra hp= not bad at all
