38 special was a huge part of my youth when learning about music, first heard them and first saw them on MTV! Great memories! That was 40 years ago when I was 12. My family and I just saw them at the Texas State Fair this past weekend and they were AWESOME! Even got a pick from Don Barnes! My 17 year old son is a huge fan too!
I do love this one too, but one I love even more is “Back Where You Belong,” which is personal to me. I love the way their guitar melodies weave together, they’re almost like harmonies. Almost as good as their vocal harmonies! I hope you can do some more of their songs, Mike, thanks!
This was released in May 1986, i was 18 and just graduated from high school. The album was produced by Jim Vallance, Vallance had produced Bryan Adams biggest selling albums in the 80s and also gave the Adams penned song "Teacher Teacher" to .38 Special for the movie soundtrack. So the entire album definitely has a 'Bryan Adams' feel to it.
Hey you! Hey, we'll get there, just gimme a little time! I don't get's to upload as much as I used to, I know it seems longer. EV is still by far the band I've done the most reactions for! I think GVF comes in a little ways behind. I'll see if I can do this one next for you though
Sorry Mike... I have to agree with sóley wolfgangsdóttir on this one. No, sir! But this is what I love about your channel Mike! Almost anything gets a chance to be heard. Doesn't matter what kind of genre it is or when it was made. We all share a love for music and through your channel we can find new artist and new music! I think this channel is amazing! Be safe Björn
Dude, you kept talking right at the best lead guitar parts. You probably heard a concert version previously with a different lead guitarist and a pop country drummer.
38 SPECIAL is a wicked Southern Rock Band! Great Music, Songwriting & Vocals! You can't go wrong with this iconic group!
Got any favorite tracks by them?
