My introduction to this band and this genre all those years ago. Killer classic album! Definitely need to talk about the likely mislabeled songs, Miscarriage and spite suicide.
There are elements of melodic death metal in this album,but it is completely different from Swedish hotbed.The Black Dahlia Murder are a band which invented a style by themselves without being a simply bootleger brand. With this album band was able to show its originality off,and it sounds like no other, a debut music shaping well-elaborated and dressed up by itself identity.
This takes me back to my first apartment alone and the anxiety i had at the time and helping catch a serial rapist active in the area. It was just as wild as this album is!
I still remember buying this CD from Best Buy becuz the sticker said "For fans of KSE and AILD" ha ha. Yeah not so much. I was only just getting into metalcore and this was not it for me. Fast forward to when I really starting listening to drums and guitars (and came to like the vocal style) and hell MFn yeah this album was and still is the shit \m/ RIP Trevor and long live TBDM
As far as I know, there is no remastered version. At best, this is just a higher quality upload I'm sure Trevor would have loved a remastered version, though. This was his least favorite album.
