I am looking forward to painting my own minis once they arrive. I am starting out with the hobby and love to see your videos - they are a great inspiration for me! Keep at it. How the hell am I supposed to paint the other GoA2 minis that you haven't covered yet?!
Nice tutorial, I have only tried 2 of the Vallejo xpress paints, but I do find the Space Grey worked well for fur on a few of the pieces. I deeply enjoyed painting Xargatha, ended up with a brighter lime/yellow inspired by a green pit viper (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trimeresurus_albolabris), easily one of the best executed sculpts in the box. One of the minis I'd like to see you paint is Dodger, the sculpt of the body above the shoulders gets a bit iffy and it took a while for me to figure out how to approach the face. The armour chinstrap seems to come off more as a beard on the one I've got on hand here, and the magic thing in her hand that isn't on fire I'm still not certain of what it is supposed to represent. It's the last hero I've got to paint and the one that's provided the most challenge.
Good to know about the Xpress paints, I'll try using them on fur textures and such, Space Grey is also one of the few I got to test out. I'll put Dodger on the queue then! I painted her once before for a friend's copy of the game, and I kind of had the same challenges you did. The chin strap was pretty tricky to paint in a way that looked ok and I had no clue either what the thing in her hand is suppose to be, I just painted it as if it was fire, lol
@@PaintingWithBennett Ok, after lots of squinting and experimentation, if you look towards her from the extended hand the bit she's holding outwards is a skull with an open top lol, but the sides might be horns, flesh, or something else
Amazing work. I wouldn't guess from the finished product how simple of a process the scales were! Are these the first version of Speedpaints or are these the new 2.0 formulation?
@@PaintingWithBennett Thanks for replying so fast! Actually, this may prompt me to pick up first-gen speedpaints, as I've read that this wet-blending may be more difficult with the new formula.
I have never seen someone explicitly point out all the mould lines like that. Cool, thanks for the extra effort! Painting looks great as well.
Beautiful work, looking for more darkest dungeon painting.
Thanks! The next video is another Guards one, but after that will be some more Darkest Dungeon videos again
Awesome paint job!👍👍👍
Amazing productionquality right there keep it up. You just got yourself subscriber 67 :)
Thanks, I really appreciate it! 🙂
Awesome paint job. Came here to see what the minis will look like for the current kickstarter but ended up finding a new painting channel to sub 👍🏼
Amazing work, dude!

Thank you! I'm happy to be able to help! Hopefully I'll get the rest done before the new kickstarter ships 😁

Ohhhhh yeah that's it! I think it's horns on the skull but then there's also a smoke/flame effect woven around it a little bit?
Amazing work. I wouldn't guess from the finished product how simple of a process the scales were! Are these the first version of Speedpaints or are these the new 2.0 formulation?
Thanks! These are the original Speedpaints. If I let them dry overnight I honestly notice pretty minimal reactivation, if any at all.

@@KerkyJerky Interesting! I'll try to buy some 2nd gen Speedpaints soon and test it out to see how the compare
@@PaintingWithBennett That would be very interesting to see. I started with 2.0 and haven't tried it yet.
