He’s just trying to not fall off, usually when you do that stuff you seriously risk falling off. He’s relying more on the AI messing up while he plays it safe. Which definitely worked

The CPU finish times are typically correct but are very wrong on some specific tracks. Tracks like Grumble Volcano, Rainbow Road, and N64 Bowser’s all have slower finish times than what the minimap shows, while Coconut Mall has much faster times
In order to beat "Mirror Mode" you have to get first place in all the cups. Edit: You also have to star each cup. Thanks to LSTNSCRFN for mentioning that.

Offroad is a little different, IIRC while on offroad you get a 2.5x time multiplier for the time you remain on it *unless* you have some boost active while on offroad. AFAIK there are 3 different course performance tiers, and the main target is getting first place and meeting the first effective time requirement on each course in a cup. You can still get an E even if you get first place on every race, which I typically get while playing on a 99,999cc mod. There should be some video explaining how to get 3 stars on every cup, but TH-cam doesn't like it when you post links and I don't have the link to said video, so you'll have to search it up.
I would highly recommend that you try out a nunchuck for this game. It is a lot easier to control, and you are able to multitask so much easier and do some of the things that you couldn’t in the video. Personally, I think this would really help because when I switched to a nunchuck, I maxed out all of my accounts and enjoyed the game a lot more
Agreed. In the competitive MKW community, the Wii Wheel’s use is generally discouraged due to motion controls being quite jank (unless, of course, you’ve been playing with it for 10 years and have mastered using it!)

When you are straight paths while using bikes plssss willie (flick the Wii Remote upwards) to go a bit faster. Also, if theres anything bumpy try tricking cause most of the time you can.
Beef boss is a medium character, you can only ride the phantom if you make beefboss a large character. Just increase his size on the mii channel, then he’ll be a large, and drive the phantom.
The meta me and my friends would do is make our Miis as short as possible in the Mii Channel, then when you go into Mario Kart Wii, you have access to a really good motorcycle only available to small characters like Toad. That's right. Entire vehicles are locked behind the mass of a character.
Two tips for the game are if you do fall off you can press acceleration as you land to get a boost, and with a bike you can shake your controller up to do a wheelie when on a straight part for more speed.
u can use different bikes on different caracters, u got a bike thats for big characters like donkey kong/bowser, ur mii character is a medium character with others being mario/luigi, lastly u got small characters being toad/baby mario etc

Look on the mini map rather than the times. They weren't even close to being close together.
