@@iijeriichoii I'm 12k premier and I just played one, the whole lobby was solo queued- 12k, 9k, 9k, 7k, 6k vs 16k, 14k, 11k, 11k, 10k. I understand player rating doesn't directly correlate to skill but like cmon valve isn't even trying to make good lobbies
Also worth noting that player rating is not the same as ELO.

I feel like the ELO system should be based on the round difference and individual score on the leaderboard. That way the closer you are to a tie the less ELO you lose. If you top frag in a losing team the loss of ELO would be minimal compared to the bottom frags. That way it would make it rewarding to tie matches and perform your best.
How down bad do you have to be to start malding and throwing after losing 1 round.

@@Kyle-McGoughfr because people queue out of habit after getting off work when they clearly don’t want to be playing and have no motivation. You can’t save their mental because they have none to begin with, just autopilot because they’re bored.
CS matchmaking knows that you play for the content. Props to them for throwing in a game with that kind of elo. I lost it when I saw those numbers as well live.

I've stopped playing Premier. Low ELO matches are awful, and once you're down there it's so hard to get out. I got so sick of top fragging on my team and losing every single match, because I'm not that good and if I'm top fragging, my team mates must be truly awful.
Precalculating ELO gains/losses and having them tied solely to win/lose sucks. There's no reward for performing well on a losing team, and it gets super demoralising. If they were to calculate ELO round by round and only show you the net result at the end of the game, I'd come back in a heartbeat.
gotta find some good people and play with them, it’s not the most fun but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. once you get out of elo hell you’re usually good to solo queue

They should do the rankings like Rocket League where if you're playing with a lower rank, they play at YOUR RANK, not somewhere in the middle. If you're 10k but paired with a 3k, you should play at 10k, not 7k.
if you are getting kicked just leave the game and join after like 30 sec, it will say you are being kicked for them but you don't get kicked actually and can join again.

i played a top 4 NA FPL player in a premier five stack once, almost had a 1v5 against them but man that game was not close lol

not only do premier ranks literally mean nothing anyway, extra so with the fact that the mmr system is broken asf, these low level guys are probably getting +600 elo for win and -100 for a loss every game

Back when cs:go ranks were really broken(few years ago) I was stuck in silver 2. I would always queue with friends (s3-nova1) and occasionally they wouldn’t be able to play and I would solo queue. I quit playing because as a silver 2 I got sucked into a fucking LEM game. The next lowest rank in the whole match was double AK. And then my silver 2 dumb ass. Shit was broken and will always be broken.
All jokes aside CS is in such a bad place rn with the matchmaking and ranking system. Its borderline unplayable you either get a team who have mics but wont use them other than to complain or ask for a drop, a team who also have mics but don't speak English, and a team with good comms and have knowledge of the game but the mis-match is just insane because the other team is a 5 stack that are 3-4000 elo higher then our teams highest. I thought FaceIT would be better but I've played about 15 games of it so far and only had 4 games where people spoke English and were decent teammates. :(

Just last week had 3 games in a row fighting the weirdest queues of as low as 3K smurfs paired with 16Ks for no reason.
i think this is more of an NA thing ? at least when i play in finland my ques are similar in length 1-2 mins and i get +-5k usually from me even in 22k

I queued up for a few matches the other day. Rank of silver 1 cause I never play anymore. Got a massive mix of global silver 4 and people 10x better then me every time. No one around my rank at all. I un-installed game again. CS2 is trash they should of left it as CSGO
