I normally grow mint as a deterrent and then once it’s time for a trim boil it down, use the tea in a sprayer and spray the garden. 😊 but I have a dehydrator now.
Also, dragonflies are attracted to “perches” so in the garden if you have sticks, stakes etc that stand above the plants they like to sit on them and hunt. Even if you place some randomly they will use them.
    Happy gardening 🌱

My lemon balm has also exploded this year. Its very bushy and large. Usually, I dry it and make teas, but this year I will be combining it with mint to make syrup and jellies. Your garden is beautiful.

Lemon Balm: Tea, sachet, homemade lotion, salves and tinctures. I soak fresh fragrant herbs in witch hazel, leave in the fridge, then strain and put in a spritzer for a cooling, delicious facial spray. I do that with all my herbs and medicinal flowers! It's always sweet to hear the family in the background just messing around. Have fun!

I’m glad you’re doing this I just dehydrated for the first time last week sage, stevia, parsley, and mint. Sage was still a little soft everything else had some crisp. Lets learn together 😊

I have so much lemon balm and chamomile this year! I also have mint, anise hyssop, roses, and so much more I put in this year. My calendula is being eaten by bunnies. I have more seedlings that I will be putting out next week. I want to make calendula oil to add to my homemade body cream.

Love this idea, making your own tea with the help of a dehydrator. I am still doing it old style with mints, chamomile and stevia hanging all over my house- once dried, I put them in jars and combine the different varieties of mints in tea using stainless steel infusers. Using tea bags is a very good idea and one I am thinking of for the coming season thanks to you :) this year I will use my bachelor button flowers into my tea like what you have done. Fresh home made teas are like no other- enjoy!

Everything looks so beautiful! How I wish I could share pictures with you. I have more lemon balm than I know what to do with. I'm finally harvesting some for the first time & drying it for tea. I've heard it's good for headaches and a sleep aid. I hope to use it for many things since it's so prolific. I, too, am growing calendula for the first time. I started it from seed and am shocked at how huge they are now. I find it funny that some of them have yellow & orange flowers on the same plant.

Love herbs! I'm growing lemon balm, lemongrass, mountain mint, Hilary's sweet lemon mint, anise hyssop (this is so good), lavender, calendula, rosemary, thyme, lemon thyme, stevia and more! I also have a tea camellia to make black, green and oolong tea from the young leaves. I make tea blends for my family to have. Thanks for sharing your videos! I've learned so much!

Heyyyy 👋🏾 I actually did (and do) wash them. I didn't let them dry before putting them in the dehydrator which may have been the reason why it took so long to dehydrate.
