However, that isn't the case with EQ. The five fundamental elements of EQ are self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. EQ can be measured with the Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test or MSCEIT, which is scored via consensus. There's also DANVA, JACBART, STEU and STEM measurements. These use varying methods, including identifying emotional states on different pictures of human faces. None of these are perfect, but neither are traditional IQ tests. You should do more research. @@Patt187 I think you misunderstand my position. Standard IQ tests do not take into account the complex nature of the human intellect and its different components. They test on speed and accuracy in terms of analytical intelligence, but do not in the slightest bit measure intensive consideration/understanding or nuanced perceptive reasoning. IQ measures a *type* of intelligence but it's widely acknowledged that there are many types of intelligence, including emotional intelligence. The idea that you can measure a concept as vague and broad as "intelligence" with a singularly-scoped test like an IQ test is far-fetched. This doesn't mean IQ tests are useless or totally inaccurate, it means that they paint an incomplete picture. Testing solely on logic and pattern identification while ignoring soft skills like one's command over vocabulary or their ability to debate is a fundamental flaw in the test. Furthermore, IQ tests don't test for thought processes, they test for results. A person could be more thorough in the number of approaches they take towards solving a problem, ultimately reach the correct conclusion, and score lower than someone who objectively solved it faster but considered less possibilities. You can't gauge the intensity of thought process, in other words, only in the end result. This is perhaps just an issue with tests themselves, though.

He stresses the importance of self-awareness, and ultimately refuses to give up his philosophizing, as it is only through philosophy in which he can properly come to know himself-thus his famous assertion “the unexamined life is not worth living.” This refusal is what leads to his execution, of which he stoically accepts, citing that it is foolish to fear what one does not know, and that the Athenian state, in silencing their critic, are only bringing harm upon themselves.

It's so funny how when Tyler, the Marine who ranked third in the IQ test, was ahead of them, both Sada and Maria were throwing doubt on the IQ test and were genuinely pissed off.
This is what happens when your ego goes unchecked.
IQ tests actually *are* BS, though. I score extremely high, and I scored extremely high on the ACT and SAT, but I am absolutely not more intelligent than some of the people I outscored, I'm simply better at taking tests.
@@17thknight scoring extremely high on an internet IQ test and scoring high on a proctored IQ test are very different. There is a certain amount of bias, but it shouldn't really be perceivable with folks who understand all of the tested concepts (ex. pattern rec., math, logic, etc.). The people the tests are biased against don't usually take the tests because they grew up in places that don't have organized education systems.
@@InWitheNew I has those proctored test once, it was extremely long. Like an hour and a half (I was told it'd be a quiz). I remember getting bored and frustrated by how random the question are. I'm know i'm very good at reading people, detecting a pattern, and predicting human behavior. I'd like to think I have good common sense. And I'm just a little bit better than most when solving problems and thought organizing. But apart from this, I don't think I'm better than anyone. There's a lot of things I don't know and often need help with. I'm not that special so I think IQ make very little different when it comes to living life in the real world.
IQ tests are only BS if you don’t know what they’re measuring. They measure rate of learning roughly. You can learn fast and not give a shit about tests. Other people can be slow learners but very hard workers. Some other people are more creative and might be better at problem solving as a result. IQ is not a measure of someone’s worth as a human being. Unfortuantely, the vast amount of people who object to the validity of an IQ test, be they high scorers or low, often are implying that that’s what it purports to measure
@@17thknight You are absolutely convinced that you aren't smarter. It's okay if you are. Being smarter doesn't mean better, generally speaking. Humility is something a great many people could benefit from.
Her body language while she was talking about what she does just shows she's full of herself.
yeah shes probably working 18 hours a day and she thinks thats why she is smart and has narcistics traits with those movements
That whole dance she does explaining her credentials is embarrassing to watch.
it shows that she is insecure and trying to win herself over for herself by impressing those around her but it fails cause you can't impress yourself by proxy
Arrogant, narcissistic, and argues with the the IQ test saying it’s wrong and not important.
Yeah full of shit
wonder how she feels knowing this is in EVERYONES recommended...
Bad, what else? No matter what stupid thing you did, you most certainly wouldn’t enjoy to become a meme.
I watched PewDiePie react to this video and assumed that was why...

@@thisismyalias "Justifiably bad", at best. She chose to let this be public, she put her own ignorance on blast. "When they said we'd be on social media, I didn't expect an IQ test." Her own words. We can only hope she grows from this,

I refuse to believe that they coincidentally picked 6 people with such high IQ’s
Test was likely garbage and overrates them
IQ tests are largely useless, since they aren't standardised.
Ive done several, and some are full of practical maths questions, like accounting, and others are pattern recognition or logic problems. Different people have different aptitudes regardless of their general intelligence. Maths is my weak subject, but I'm very good at visual puzzles.
@@drewlovelyhell4892 well flip, I'm bad at both math and visual puzzles. Probably why I'll never take an IQ test lol. I've gotten pretty far believing I'm smart so I'll just keep on..
They probably intentionally picked all the people who scored high on the IQ test so that they'd all over-rate themselves. What she's doing in this video is exactly what they set her up to do.
They're not super high, they are all very smart but not abnormally so. Probably when they advertised for this it attracted intelligent people. Or maybe they did test a lot of people picked intelligent people with different backgrounds

Steven Hawking was in Monty Python once, easy choice.

As a side note, you don't have to be super intelligent to work for a biotechnology company making vaccines. How do I know this, because a biotechnology company contacted me offering me a job to make vaccines.
Hey that just validated the point that one needs to be intelligent to work in that field. I don't know if you are keen to work in this sector but you go champ
@@wholegroinbread593 they were really just desperate for people with lab experience. I happen to have 2 years of it from college. I don't think she has a high EQ either, or else she would notice how uncomfortable her boasting is making the group feel
Especially when she was being entirely hypocritical when talking about Tyler
@@servus2634 IQ can be tested for, but it's widely acknowledged that the IQ test itself is fundamentally flawed, and beyond that, something being immeasurable doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't exist.
Any quantification of something as intangible as the processes that occur in a human's mind is bound to be rife with flaws and errors.
@@servus2634 Bro you just got schooled.
@@travisyee7278 not really, the standardized IQ test has been updated for a while and it’s actually extremely reliable that many who have studied the psychology of education believe it’s so reliable that it’s actually valid. There’s a positive correlation in those with High IQ having higher education and higher paying jobs
This is perhaps just an issue with tests themselves, though.
the fact she had to keep moving chairs until she was finally able to sit is the salt added to the wound lmao. Too funny
Notice how she stood, expecting Shayda to get up out of the 3rd chair?
Also take a look at the iq results distance between them - places 1-4 are very close, we can say, punching distance, place 5 to 4 distance is bigger, but our biochemist? She is way below all of them, I almost choked with drink when I saw that she is last AND SHE IS LAST NOT BY 1 POINT BUT BY 24 LMAO
Not only that, but there’s a big margin between her and 5th place. Doesn’t that tell you something 😂😂

,,Tyler has lowest EQ"
Dude literally listened basically everyone criticising him, but understanding where are hey coming from and why, it didn't make him angry or emotional, but he also wasn't submissive and a defeatist, that is very hard mindset to come by, indicating pretty high EQ, he's chad.
I Agree. Is it just me who thinks that people who brag about their "EQ" use this just as an excuse for making up to their intelligence.
Oh yeah, because emotions are very important when it comes to intelligence. Look, I am empathetic which means I'm smart, because I'm KIND and listen to people.
You can score hight on EQ and be really empathetic person and still be a jerk to others, because you know what will hurt them the most.
Jordan Peterson says that psychology deosn't recognize the existence of emotional intelligence.
Tyler is smart and humble, thus he has a smalle ego which is by it's nature not fragile so he doesn't get extremely emotional easily.

@@Vanessa-ck4qc In Plato’s Apology, Socrates is attempting to illustrate that wisdom extends only as far as one’s acceptance of their own ignorance. He agrees that he is not the “wisest of all men”, as the Oracle of Delphi says, because he admits that he knows nothing-the extent of his wisdom stems from his recognition of its limitations.
