I live here in Arizona and it’s so neat to hear someone love all of the things that I take for granted. I’m so used to the nature and animals here that I usually don’t even look around anymore, so this was a lovely little refresher to appreciate where you’re at! So glad you had a good time 😊
So glad our smart and soft-voiced host enjoyed her trip to the US. Arizona is really something. Everybody should see the Grand Canyon once in their lives.
Your talk about sugar in everything, reminds me, when my son went to Space Camp and he said that he couldn't get over how much sugar is in all the food. Some of the students in his group ended up sick, from eating the food in the USA. ........ Such a beautiful video, excellent choice of music. So glad to see you sooooo happy. Hi from Australia.
I just went hiking in Providence Canyon last week with my best friend, and everything you described about how emotional it makes you is spot on. Seeing natural wonders and being so fully engrossed in nature feels like taking a walk outside yourself, and getting to experience something amazing that has nothing to do with you. It was there long before you, and will be there long after, and that sense of smallness is honestly refreshing in such a fast-paced, self-centered world. 💕 love your vids, and the joy they bring
I'm glad you had such a good time, Emma, and had good weather and everything. You must have put many hours into carefully editing this and it really shows. Great job.
If you ever go back- walnut canyon is not far from Sedona at all and you can walk down into it past so many native dwellings that are literally cut into the side of the canyon it’s amazing. There is also a look out point where If you time it right you can see the ravens mating dancing and falling through skies all around you. It’s incredible! Thank you for sharing! This makes me miss Arizona so much!
Brought me to tears, you visited my husband's home state, we as a family spent every holiday there so our children would know their Grandparents. I love living in the woods of Oregon [ home of the Dutch Bros.] but the AZ. NM. desert are beautiful in the fall and spring. It is hard to explain that the canyon is too much to take in🦌🐗🦎🌶🌮🍁🌵🌞🌡😊
I saved this vlog for my day off today and what can I say: watching 38 mins of you hiking really helped me recharging. You have a wonderful way of capturing nature. ❤ Makes me miss home but also makes me very excited for my trip to Canada next year!
As someone who has lived in the U.S. my whole life, and very desperately wants to move out of the U.S., it's so refreshing to watch a perspective that romanticizes so many of the things I typically take for granted. Makes me appreciate the good things I do have much more. I must agree that Trader Joe's and Target are both magical places!
Wow! I’m from New York State and got to take a trip/live in Arizona this past summer and it changed my life in so many magical ways! The landscape there made me SO inspired to write poetically too! I really miss it there so this vlog is such a great supplement🌞
I am in awe. This was just sublime. Yeah, you need to check the sugar content on those "energy" and "power" bars, even the stuff from Trader Joe's. A lot of it is crap. And our portions ARE incredibly large here. Does anyone really need 32 oz. of sugary soda? Apparently they do, because it's sold at convenience stores. Funny because I just take Target stores for granted. Seems I'm there every week. Well done on completing your hiking adventures, Emma.
So cool to see your perspective! Glad you had a great time. I love Cornish Pasty! One just opened near us. AZ has so many beautiful unique things to see and explore, you really just hit the tip of the desert ice berg. Im so happy you got to experience a piece of this wonderful place.
That was an amazing trip, it was so much fun watching this vlog! The scenery was absolutely beautiful and the animals were so cute, especially the little piggies!
I yelled when I saw The Left Hand of Darkness because it’s my best book of the year!! I know I already said that on your winter book video but oh my god!!! I already want to reread it.
Arizona's landscape is such a stunner. I have family in Tucson and last time I went we visited Kartchner Caverns, which I would highly recommend. And also hiked up Mt. Lemmon, you aren't kidding about the temperature change; we did it in September and it was 95F when we stopped at a gas station just before starting the hike, it was in the high 50's or low 60's when we got to the end of our hike, which wasn't even all the way to the summit.
I live in Arizona. Yes Sedona is very beautiful but it is hard to walk/run there. In high school, during the summer, my cross country team would do runs in Sedona and it was so hard because of elevation, it would always feel hotter there than where I lived in Mesa, and it was so easy to trip if you looked up once 🤣
Awh I’ve lived in AZ my whole life and love the desert but it was so nice seeing it through fresh eyes. Sedona is a gem 💎 ✨🌵 This video was beautiful :)
I loved watching you discover the U.S.! Hello from CA! We have beautiful hikes as well! My favorites are Half Dome/ anything in Yosemite National Park, Point Lobos, and Point Reyes.
can’t believe u were in az and i had no idea!!! its so strange seeing my state be appreciated so much, but its a lot different when you don’t live here! hope u enjoyed the warm weather :)
What's the one meme - one thing about Americans is that we know how to make a big drink 😂 (I've definitely been taken aback by what counts as a 'medium' drink at some places too)
Arizona looks beautiful thanks for sharing. As an American that moved to The Netherlands for many of the reasons you mentioned and many others, I prefer the US to visit than to live.
All the Arizona natives in there comments and I feel the exact same, so weird seeing you in Arizona!! The people can be hit or miss but nothing beats the nature ❤
Dutch Bros is a wild place. I would call it coffee flavored dessert more than actual coffee. In addition to having the biggest cups this side of 7-11, they are also heavy handed with the syrup
Arizona is one of my favorite western states. Previously hiked the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Zion. Have never been to Sedona, sounds interesting. Antelope Canyon was one of our stops; unbelievable to walk thru. Because of the sand…washed our hair twice. Pleased you enjoyed.
Just a beautiful vlog Emma. I live in Colorado and it's such a beautiful place and I never go hiking! I need to hike! I really want to visit Devil's Bridge too!
I’m from the us, but I’ve never really been out west. It’s amazing to me because where I’m from in Michigan is more culturally similar to Ontario than Arizona (minus target and trader joes haha) I’ve definitely never heard of dutch bros 😂
I’ve been to Sedona plenty of times and one of my favorite memories is when my husband was sitting on a rock before starting a hike. I decided to take a photo of him with the background and then I noticed small movements on the ground, there was a snake right next to him 😅 and I guess we disturbed it because it left as we noticed it, thankfully it wasn’t a rattlesnake though. Good times!
Trader Joe's gluten-free and dairy-free pancakes are sooooo good. They used to have a pumpkin soup in a carton every fall, but they stopped selling it a few years ago. I miss it so much.
wow apart from the Grand Canyon I didn't know much about Arizona's landscapes ! it looks wonderful☀(and also discovered a new species of animals, as an European I don't think I've heard of javelinas before)
What a beautiful trip!! We are hoping to make it out to AZ (and NM ) at some point in the next year or two. I am so so sorry about all of the sugar forced in the food here. It is the worst. We make a lot of food at home or look for things that do not have corn syrup/high fructose corn syrup. There are some brands of greek yogurt that don't have sweetener in them. It is, sadly, usually more expensive to buy the product with no added sugars.
Interesting video as always! The Rilke quote near the beginning made me wonder: I wonder what sort of epigraphs your videos would have, especially with your resonant taste!
This was amazing! I've always wanted to go to Arizona. Speaking of travel books, have you ever read Seven Years in Tibet? It's one of my favorite books ever.
As a fellow Canadian i was like WINTER FINALLY CAME AND EMMA LEAVES?!?" - shocked Pikachu face - 🤣 My ex has a house there and i remember when he bought the land i literally said "why do you only want to see red?!" He was like "the views great from the top of the mountains!" (He bought an area with a days climb in it) And i responded "a view of a bunch of red!" 😂 Then when he was building he was trying so hard to fake loving the clay like "oh no big deal at all to shower outside and leave my clothes outside to avoid the clay clogging the drains" i just laughed... His place in Nevada he also owned what he called a mountain (i donno what actually counts as a mountain) and that had red blue a bunch of other colors too and since trees! His place in California was in the richest neighborhood and didn't have real grass... Then his place in New York State was like a nice (large) house with land and grass and trees and he went hunting and drove to barter with the Amish... I swear every house was a completely different personality. Heck in Nevada he had a Tesla (which he hated) and a Range Rover, NYS he had a Silverado with a plow and a Dodge Challenger, California he had a Lamborghini and in Arizona he had a used Chevy Avalanche... Thinking back on the differences between places it's actually pretty funny... He had a home for every mood 🤣 Ah, no regrets on the breakup 🤣😂🤣
27:35 maybe a crazy pull but do you know where you found this song? the first time I heard it was in a Philosophy Tube video a few years ago, and it fit the nature feeling there so perfectly too!
Not related to this video but wanted to know which version of Frankenstein did you read? The 1818 or 1831 version? Couldn't find the cover of the one you showed so didn't know. I want to read it!
I think you'd really enjoy A Walk in the Park by Kevin Fedarko. This is a true story subtitled The True Story of a Spectacular Misadventure in the Grand Canyon. This turned out to be one of the top five books I read last year. I couldn't put it down!
your music choices for this vlog were soooooo good i felt like i was on an adventure
I live here in Arizona and it’s so neat to hear someone love all of the things that I take for granted. I’m so used to the nature and animals here that I usually don’t even look around anymore, so this was a lovely little refresher to appreciate where you’re at! So glad you had a good time 😊
I was honestly thinking the same thing!
So glad our smart and soft-voiced host enjoyed her trip to the US. Arizona is really something. Everybody should see the Grand Canyon once in their lives.
the end made me cry :,) i love seeing my home state through your eyes

As a lifelong native Arizonan, this video makes my heart soar ❤
@@maggiez1142 same!!
Me too!

Loved the scenery, the deers, the piggies, the editing, the music but what I loved even more was seeing how happy you were. ❤

so crazy seeing my home state through someone else’s eyes 🥲

sedona has such an incredible emotional feel to it!! it’s so difficult to describe but it’s just like a blanket of peace
Thank you for sharing your experience with us Emma, it's wonderful to see you so excited and full of life.
As someone who has lived in the U.S. my whole life, and very desperately wants to move out of the U.S., it's so refreshing to watch a perspective that romanticizes so many of the things I typically take for granted. 🥰 yeey always perfect timing for my night time watch before going to bed
2:05 It’s crazy you went to Superstition Mountain!!! I literally used to live in the neighborhood right by it!
Soo glad to see you had such a great time! The nature looks so beautiful 😍

New video right as I get home from uni. Just made my day better

Arizona is very scenic from the air. What a spectacular view Emma👁 Thanks for sharing
Hiking is the best, most soothing thing ever. I love it so much. Always lovely to see you having such a good time, thanks for sharing :)
Thank you so much Emmie for uplifting our winter blues 🥹🥹
Boy yall sure like hiking! Thanks for the vlog!
So cool to see your perspective! Glad you had a great time. I love Cornish Pasty! One just opened near us.

I love this. Always a pleasure to watch an Emma vlog!
Loved this. My parents lived in Sedona for several decades. It’s a magical place. One of my favorite smells is the desert in the early morning. 🏜️🌵🌄
Beautiful footage and the perfect music to match it. Looks like it was an amazing trip 🏜
Thanks a lot, Emma, for taking me with you to Arizona! Loved it! ❤😊😚
what you said at 36:11 really resonated with me. So happy you had such a magical time!
I yelled when I saw The Left Hand of Darkness because it’s my best book of the year!! I know I already said that on your winter book video but oh my god!!! I already want to reread it.
The views of Cathedral Rock reminded me of the visuals from the animation Land Before Time🦕

I’VE BEEN TO THAT BOOKSTORE it’s up in the little city next to a tree and it feels like a children’s novel LOVE
You were right. That coffee should be a small.
Fabulous! I enjoyed every moment with you. Thank you for sharing. Love the quote at the end, too.
Awh I’ve lived in AZ my whole life and love the desert but it was so nice seeing it through fresh eyes. Sedona is a gem 💎 ✨🌵 This video was beautiful :)
Aww the baby Javelina!! ❤❤❤
I believe I hiked part of the same trail. It is truly so magical. I never wanted to leave
I loved watching you discover the U.S.! Hello from CA! We have beautiful hikes as well! My favorites are Half Dome/ anything in Yosemite National Park, Point Lobos, and Point Reyes.
Fantastic work my friend! This episode was simply flawless!
can’t believe u were in az and i had no idea!!! its so strange seeing my state be appreciated so much, but its a lot different when you don’t live here! hope u enjoyed the warm weather :)
Sedona reminds me a little bit of the sierras here where i live in Argentina. I'm loving this vlog, thank you Emma! 😊

Love seeing you so happy in nature!! I haven’t been to AZ since I was about 3 years old so don’t remember it. It would be nice to go back now.
This whole video made me cry! 😊
Sweet! We were just there at the end of October. So gorgeous out there 🔥
Oh that was absolutely beautiful Emma ❤
Emma, great to see you channeling your inner Sacagawea!❤
Just a beautiful vlog Emma. I live in Colorado and it's such a beautiful place and I never go hiking! I need to hike! I really want to visit Devil's Bridge too!
That was absolutely amazing and beautiful!! Thanks for sharing your trip with us. Hope you're doing well.

Great vacation vlog. 📚☕❄️☃️⛰️

There's a Whole Foods in Oakville right by the GO station. There are a few more in your general vicinity - could be worth checking out.
It’s a little ironic that you tried your first Cornish pasty in the U.S.
What a beautiful trip!! We are hoping to make it out to AZ (and NM ) at some point in the next year or two. I am so so sorry about all of the sugar forced in the food here. It is the worst. We do have whole foods in Canada! I’m in the GTA and there’s a whole foods by Square One.
yay!!!! i live in arizona and got married at Cathedral Rock in Sedona! such a cool place
Hey!! I was wondering if maybe in a future video you could possibly do an in-depth breakdown of all the hiking equipment you have??
Your in my hometown! 👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼
Phoenicians agree, the desert looks good on you.
I love Sedona. We go every year
I really want to go back to the Grand Canyon and hike the Jacob's ladder trail. It's the going back up the trail that scares me lol
As a fellow Canadian i was like WINTER FINALLY CAME AND EMMA LEAVES?!?" - shocked Pikachu face - 🤣

Emma, I love your videos.
Can you tell me whice video you got or unboxed anne of green gables two new edition please
dutch bros is...special, unique, exciting
Note about the medium Dutch bros - this is a rather large medium compared to most local coffee shops! A DB medium is a Starbucks Venti
This is so beautiful !!!
27:35 maybe a crazy pull but do you know where you found this song? the first time I heard it was in a Philosophy Tube video a few years ago, and it fit the nature feeling there so perfectly too!
Beautiful video all around. 🏞🌌
That mountain is only a little Stitious.
reading a snow book in Arizona is really an experience lol
Not related to this video but wanted to know which version of Frankenstein did you read? The 1818 or 1831 version? Couldn't find the cover of the one you showed so didn't know. I want to read it!
Another great spot is Antelope Canyon
Yes everytime I go to the US I go straight to target 😂😂
So gorgeous!!! ❤
