- In this video i am going to show you how you can open Sony MDR-XB55AP Earphone earbuds and replace faulty wire of your Earphones, if you have problems like one side not working, both side side not working and your problem not solved by repairing 3.5mm jack, then watch my video till end and i hope you will be able to fix your problem.

I was having difficulty in opening the earpiece of sony xb55ap & then found your channel. I successfully replaced the damaged wire with new one. During soldering I mistakenly solder the wire of the left earpiece in opposite polarity which so the driver started producing low audio with less bass. I reversed & it is now working superfine. .

I put mine in isopropyl alcohol to clean and they sound better now except, bass is really low and almost no exist. Anything I can do or wait more days for it to be fixed?

I got sony xba a1ap ,but jack issue,when i tried it has 5 wires ,green,red,black,white,golden ,what is black and white wire for,got new jack has 4 poles but i have got 5 wires ,where to connect fifth wire?
Find any hidden wire inside Golden wire?
If there is no hidden wire inside any wire, then
Red wire is Right spk+
Green wire is left spk+
White wire is Mic+
Black is GND
Golden is GND
Joint both GND wires together
Matter of fact i did found black wire hidden inside golden wire 😅, so how should i proceed now? And any suggestions on how to repair mic button as well ? And btw Thank You very much Sir for the replies ☺️
I done all correct procedure, somehow i am losing sound i can only hear the music no voice ,so i tried and connected red(right side to mic terminal) and voila sound is back with both music and voice coming but i am losing stereo now? So what could be the reason and resolution to this weird issue ?

I opened it, tried to clean and maybe open the thing to get earwax out and now it doesn't even play sound as before it would, just super quiet, thanks 🙄🤬

Theres 4 cables, you need the blue striped one and the thin orange one ( not the orange one with blue cable in it)

My sony 55 earphone is not working ...loose sound from both speakers....no bass ...what the prblm might be...both the speaker produce only 20% sound but no bass no clarity...only instrumental sound from music no no voice while watching videos only background sound
