These look amazing and your description of them even better! I might still get them even with their reference tuning, even though I am a basshead! Awesome review as always.
I have the FT1 Pros… fantastic headphones. Your FiiO bundle recommendation is a great idea! Both FT1s for $299 would be my go to advice for any of my friends looking for an easy and inexpensive way to enter the hobby. Covers all the bases: opened/closed, planar/dynamic, reference/colored, etc. Both can easily be driven with something like an iFi Hip DAC. Seriously: great idea.
Agreed, these are absolute deal for the price and performance. Hip DAC has been a brilliant companion to the FT1 Pro, make them sing. The new KA15 from FiiO complements them nicely too, maybe a bit more analytical than the Hip DAC, but does cater to different flavours.
Pretty much what I expected of this pair - you confirmed. I’m so bummed they were out of stock when I went in to get my BTR17 🤬 These would sound great with jazz, fusion and Tori Amos/Kate Bush type of music. Good video Chris! 🤘
can you pls do a comps or couple of reviews for iem sets in 300-500$, now that things have settled down a little its a good time to go over this price segment. I waiting for you to review the Xenns Mangrid Tea Pro since you have already reviewed the Tea 2. I think you will like it quite a lot as it graphs quite similarly to DaVinci & Butterfly 61t (hopefully no pressure issue this time).
@@mrigankadeyMD so, hopefully I can answer yes to that soon. On the Tea Pro that is. It’s mainly a budget restriction for sets in that price range though. Honestly, it is. That said, as I continue to develop relationships, I should be able to access more expensive sets without footing the bill. Even if it’s a loaner. There are plenty of sets that I want to review that are just out of reach at the moment. Hype 4, Mega5EST (and the Bass+ edition), Dita Project M, a couple of FatFeq sets, Kinera Norn, Shanling ME600, and the list goes on… we will get there. I’m just trying to be patient and make inroads where I can with those companies. ☮️
@@BassDad8 hopefully you will get there someday but i would still highly recommend if possible to a loan Tea Pro and Mega5EST to try out yourself and if possible review it, watching your reviews & preferences overtime, my instincts are telling me that considering price to performance value they offer you might definitely love to own one of those personally 🙂
@@SiegwardZwiebelbrudi oof. That sucks. First time I am hearing about any QC issues with either of the ft1s. Sounds like they had a bad production run in there somewhere. I hope you got your money back after 3 sets!! Sorry to hear of your trouble! ☮️

Great review. Fiio dropped two bangers at same time. Other brands should take Fiio's lead and release some budget bangers as well.

@@MastaMyth yup! You nailed it! I love the logo(s) you worked up for me!!! Can’t wait to put this one on my squig!!!
@ I’ll send you the rest of the “assets” via email either later today or tomorrow 😉 Glad you like them 👍
That FT1, FT1 Pro and DAC combo sounds like an awesome idea, they should do it 😎
Sounds like a nice headphone but it sounds like I'd prefer the FT1 between the two. Thank you for another great review! 👍

I'm not really into headphones, but great review.
Your hand, with the support, reminded me of something, and then I realised, Scorpiu the character from Farscape, sorry.
i had three units with planar crinkle, and all of them had worn screwheads...pass
