the Monk kicked all of enemy's hp away within some seconds while the others were struggling to even lower some percentage of said hp. balance is off the table ? :p
the actual release of 14 Mobile will also be in China first which I think really tells a lot about the existence of this game. Mobile games are huge in SEA so this is likely their attempt to attract new audiences
Soo excited!! Can’t play ffxiv at home anymore to be able to play on the go is amazing!! Also raiding binding coil against with new players will be epic!
It actually kinda puts me in mind of the Pocket version of FFXV. SE did port it to PC and Switch, so I kinda wonder if they'll take that route here with FFXIVM eventually.
Healer dots are represent as auto attack in game if they were to do that for flavour i'd be okay with it but it would force downtime on healers every time they unselected the boss
@acolit1526 They could easily fix that by allowing healing to target 2 things at the same time, where healer targetting an enemy doesn't affect your ally target. I have played Throne and Liberty, and they do this, I can have a party member I wanna target for healings, but I can still target enemies for damage.
I'm curious how the actual 14 team is going to respond if this version ends up being more polished and favored over the "spaghetti code" version that's on console/pc.
it’s…interesting, lol. i don’t think it necessarily looks bad; i’m just used to playing it on console. so seeing it on mobile is a bit of a stark difference. i’ll give it a try and just see how it actually feels. wouldn’t be surprised later on, if there will be optional main in-game items that are only obtained if you have the mobile version.
Confused by that expand icon in the top right. It's only shown during gameplay so wonder if it's an artifact of the dev tools for recording or part of the game itself.
I think what kind of sets me off is the fact that this looks way better in terms of graphics and animations than what we got of the recent graphical update, even the way the animations for each ability look smoother, I mean, look at monk, each ability that makes the charactwr move feels like they all go together unlike what we have at the moment. Considering they are bulding this for mobile and original game is PC/Console, I simply don't get why can't SE give us this. The saddest part, is by being able to tell the difference between both, I can already tell player treatment will also be different because Mobile version isn't even SE developing it. Even casters have a basic attack, original game basic attack is basically the auto attack, why can't casters also have an auto cast basic attack and they just hit the boss when near? Idk, I have mixed feelings, will I be trying it? Yes. Will I hate myself for doing so? Most likely! 😅
@mx4690 That's exactly why I said "who can't casters also have an auto cast basic attack?", auto cast meaning that instead of hitting and enemy with your book or staff, they actually do a cast basic attack instead, like what we see for the mobile version.
@Zakjuh I think the better question is, wtf are you smoking? You might need to upgrade your glasses prescription, even the person in the video said it. If you can't tell how good the graphics used for this looks way better than what we have, then you must be blind, everyone knows FFXIV original version is still using an old system. 😹
I love how that looks but I don't play games with my phone. I'd play it on something like a switch but my switch is attached to a large TV. I'm not dealing with a small screen. For those who do play games on their phones, it looks like this one would be fun!
I think that Yoshi-P doesn’t think this would have done well in the west, but china basically wanted it and funded the entire development of it hence why it’s coming out in China first then the west. That’s also why this trailer is exclusive to china and why you have had issues finding it, they will bring one out for the west at a later date.
@@sinCorazon1980yep, I remeber when Diablo immortal was announced and everyone in the west got mad and basically boycotted it, and it didn’t matter kuz their target demographic was the Asian market anywyas
Not for me, but good luck to them. There’s a part of me that’s upset for them taking resources away from the main game to develop this, and knowing that mobile games have a tendency to be a cash grab primarily targeting the Asian market, (Diablo immortal I’m looking at you), but who knows. I just hope it’s not going to be a case where there’s going to be items or quests or so on locked in the main game, that requires you to play this to unlock it

Not too sure about this. And the thing is: While I would normally just pass on this and wish everyone else fun with it, the fact remains that it takes time and resources away from the main game. At this point it's just insulting to STILL have Viera and Hrothgar not be able to wear headgear while somehow it is possible to have a whole mobile version of the game developed. (This is just an example, there are more pressing issues than cosmetics, but tI think the point comes across.) Also, on the broader scale, I don't think going mobile has ever contributed to a game's reputation.
Why does everyone keep saying this? SE is not developing it but rather overseeing progress on this. Another company by Tencent is developing this game. It's a similar situation to Persona 5 Phantom X that the main team from Atlus is not developing but rather another Studio from China is working on it while Atlus just watches over them.
@@ProtoDual We keep saying that because it's just the way it is. You're just splitting hairs. While, yes, technically some other studio is developing it, it is still the XIV team "overseeing progress on this" as you put it yourself. And I'd much rather have Yoshi-P focus on the main game, rather than having to babysit some out-of-house studio. Which holds true for every other aspect, be it combat, lore, art design, sound design, ux, ui, you name it. You can't be that naive to believe SE would hand out an IP such as XIV to a developer and say "here you go, develop away". It WILL drain resources.
@@smaller_cathedrals they get updates and give feedback, but no one on the 14 team is actively working on it, the only resources the main tem is prolly losing is some money, if that.
@@smaller_cathedralsyou keep saying that based on false information, oversight literally just means oversight, they aren’t literally taking the entire 14 team over to work on this game like they did with FF16, it’s Tencent made and Tencent devved, literally the only thing SE is providing is feedback and money
Two reasons I'm not excited for this: 1: It is ARR. There's no reason to play it for me. If they did 1.0 story with the current gameplay improvements, as a chance to play the prequel to FFXIV, I'd be more excited about it. 2: Since it's ARR, I'd rather they decided to actually improve FFXIV than waste resources on mobile. The graphical enhancements we got were barely noticeable and I can't believe how hard it is for them to make simple things like give Viera access to hats, when Miqo'te never have the same issue, for example.
@sinCorazon1980 I know. I still would rather see what I said than this. I doubt zero time will be taken from the team, though, just because it's another company doing it. But that's not the main point of my argument, only a minor part of it. It's not the focus at all.
Hard pass for me, I'm not into mobile gaming and if this is going to take people away from the main game to "Over see" it just shows how little SE care about XIV right now.
Why isn't the main game, meant to be played on faster hardware, as fast paced as this one??? Yoshi-P neglected FFXIV for FFXVI and this mobile thing for years and it shows. The game has seen no innovation in a very long time. Heck, not even a proper relic questline for the last expansion.
