- Cheap, easy, reliable and fun! The Navi is Honda's most recent addition to the minimoto street bike lineup. With a top speed of 55mph, and fuel consumption of 110mpg, this may be the cheapest way to commute around the town while having the most fun possible. This motorcycle uses a CVT transmission so it is totally automatic and carefree to operate. I show you how to use all the features of this motorcycle, how to start it with the electric and kickstart, we use the side stand and center-stand on the bike, talk about the fuel capacity, brakes, suspension, and more. Very similar to the Honda Trail 125, Grom, Super Cub, and Monkey, but different in it's own way. Drum brakes and a carburetor are part of the old charm that this modern machine has, and they work perfectly. Comment with any questions, enjoy!

I have had my Navi for about a month, use it to get to work. As a 5'10" 240lb guy riding 35 mi round trip on rural roads with plenty of hills I get about 75 mpg. The bike is super fun and I hope for many years of use. Provided my kids don't run off with it.
Because I live in a county full of absurdly loud Harleys and overtuned sport bikes, my Navi is literally the only one on the road where I live. Minis just aren't a thing here. They are so not popular here, that while other Honda dealerships can't get them in, ours still has a left over 2022.....with 2025's about to come out. They couldn't remember the last time a local bought one before I came along. That said, what is the most fascinating is the compliments and questions I get literally everywhere I go. Nobody knows what the hell a Navi is because mine is literally the only one driving around. After a couple of minutes talking to me, everyone wants one. Every biker I encounter waves at me. I don't care about self image with a bike. I just wanted something fun to drive around town, but I thought for sure people would make fun of me riding around on my Navi. It's been entirely the opposite. Everyone loves the little thing, LOL!
I drive a 2023 Harley and I’m looking at a Navi as a second toy for around the neighborhood. Who cares what others think, I’m definitely not the typical Harley owner I don’t think though. I like everything, euro, Japanese and domestic. Mopeds-motorcycles. Time and place for everything.
@@mk7machinist687 I actually had a Harley rider ask me about it for the same reason. He said it would be so fun just to have something you can rev the crap out of and not get in trouble around town.
I've been riding for 54 years. mini bikes, motocross, Sportsters, and on and on. Currently, I ride a 750 Shadow and my Navi. The Navi is the most fun I've ever had on 2 wheels! LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! So fun to ride. Thank you, Honda.
You have such a pleasant demeanor. Picking up my brand new Navi today. So stoked.
Thank you! That's awesome, sounds like it's gonna be a good day 👍
Absolutely love your presentation, brother. Just brilliant! Loving it it... Subscribed
Thanks man! 👍
One advantage of the drum brakes aside from cost is that typically the shoes in a drum brake system on a motorcycle will outlast pads on a disc brake setup by thousands of miles
I've had one of these since January and really enjoy riding it around town (in traffic!), and on 35-40 mph country roads. It's nimble and peppy, and handles hills surprisingly well. Engine is rock solid Honda, with minimal maintenance. Auto transmission is a joy. It's all fun, fun, fun, but with the following caveats: Crappy suspension on cracked, rough pavement or dirt roads. Not really a dirt bike; look elsewhere if that's what you're primary use will be. Unstable in strong winds. Crosswinds are especially unnerving. I wiped out on the stock tires in the rain making a 90 degree turn at 20 mph. That shouldn't happen. Get better tires or use extreme caution on wet pavement. Many of the parts feel cheap, but they work, and generally are cheap to replace if need be. Overall, a great runabout for Saturday afternoon moto-therapy. Finally, it's bigger than it looks. Get one in your driveway and you'll understand. It looks like a toy on the internet and in the dealer showroom lined up with much bigger bikes, but it's not. I'm 6'1" and I find it very comfortable.
Yep wet pavement and the navi doesn’t mix
As a Navi owner I believe there is no better bang for the buck$ .
The easiest most comfortable inexpensive transportation .
Best for use in a city . Easy to park sneak it in with the bicycle racks . I add 2 bicycle alarms. And a good cable lock after all I am 65 yrs. old and can lift the entire Navi off the ground .
There is a lot of great mods now for this bike .
Just to mention additional stuff . you missed the steering lock mechanism
A locking keyed seat release helmet hooks and a small storage pocket , plus tools and battery compartment .
Best upgrades are
1 AC to DC conversation (esay)
2 headlight swap to LED
3 good time to also add A dual USB/Volt meter .
4 A bottle holder and
A 750ml. Gas bottle for longer trips .
I did get the factory windshield and add .
A 4 inch clip-on this combination works great .
The rear rack addes enough rooms for a KimiMoto collapsible tail bag . ( thats a lot of groceries)
And Then I went a bought a Honda XR150L .
Well I'll tell you for sub $3000 MSRP and a Dual sport to boot . With a seat that begs you stay put and a ride and suspension as soft as a cloud and a top speed of 62 mph. The ultimate countryside tourer was made . Perfect for 50 mph hwys . My secret is out .
Best Navi review out there. You did a great job!
One of the best in my Navi research. Thank you so much for the content!
Thanks Nicole!
I'm looking into this one, I really like it. It's great options to ebikes which in my opinion are too fast for bike lanes and sidewalks and too slow to keep up with with traffic on city streets. To make it even better the Honda Navi is cheaper than most ebikes.
This was such an awesome video and review of the Navi A+++
Thanks a bunch!
I have the honda navi, grom, ruckus, rebel 300, and rebel 1100 dct. The Navi is my favorite.
I bought a 23 brand new and got 800 miles on the clock since September 23.. same color.. remember to change gearbox & engine oil every 200miles and also let it idle for 5mins bfr riding..
Owner's manual says every 2,500 miles between oil changes. And 5 minutes is excessive
@@bikesandbangs Agreed. Change oil at 100 and 500 miles and then you can go the distance. You are a little off on how the brakes work. The front and back work with the pedal and the front brake handle only works the front brake and the parking brake is the second cable at the rear.
you would spend more time doing gear and motor oil every 200 miles then you would riding it ?
200 miles??? Gear box oil?? This is a centrifugal clutch, I don't think it has oil
This is perfect for food delivery drivers and if you work close to home use it to get back and forth. Saves gas money. I would put a can of fuel in the compartment just in case you run out.
There ya go! 👍
I think this is the best breakdown I’ve seen on this bike, yet. I’m really tempted to get one lol. Might get one next summer
This is such a newbie friendly video. Thanks!
I love my Navi.
Total truth
Subbed
Navi Nation!
I havent had so much fun on a motorbike, since an old Frankenstein honda dream.
Out of 7 motorcycles Ive owned this is the funnest.
Honda since 78 baby
It's too easy, only smiles with this one 👍
What an enjoyable video, thank you! Great overview of the bike, need to look into getting one for sure.
Great review!! I live in the city and I want to get one to zip around and have fun!
Awesome review and positive attitude, buddy! Subscribed. Thank you!!
Thanks! 👍
You did a great job. Thanks for the post.
The Honda Navi 2024 edition quite fun and a pleasure experience to ride. For a minimoto bike that get up to 53-55 mph with a 109cc engine it's pretty smooth and underratedly quick especially riding down hills, and on flat road with or with no traffic in sight
I agree, great little bike! I'm about to take mine out for dinner right now 👍
@@bikesandbangs 😎🤝🏿💯💯💯
Informative, elaborate and concise. Excellent content. Deserves a new sub. Good stuff. Keep it coming
I can’t wait to get one, looks like a ton of fun
It is and you should! 👍
Great Video!! Love your content and Keep up the great Work! More Navi POV riding content! You could literally do one or two a week and automatically generate content and views! For Upgrades, you can do the AC/DC conversion, tires upgrade for better grip, Dr Pulley Sliders and clutch spring upgrade and even the Rolling Wrench CDI Rev Limiter adjuster to high RPM!
Great video!
I can't wait to get my red one!
I'm torn between red and grasshopper green!
Both look great!
Thanks man! I secretly kind of like the brown one they did the most lol
We got a set of plastics for both sides and headlight for $65 at honda dealership. Get both colors lol
I’m 5’8” 188 only can get to 47 with 760 miles on it.
Great Video
Great review and the price of the Navi is great compared to the Grom, Monkey and CT125 trail. How would this go on a metal road as I note the tyres are wider
I believe you ran into the rev limiter at 55! So, you can get the Rolling Wrench CDI box with adjusts or deletes the Rev Limiter….. this will allow the motor to rev higher and generate more power at the top end!
Great review.👍
Great vid best Navi video .Yea I got one as well.Kind of weird that the front tire is bigger then the back tire?
Yo man really good video , you did awesome explaining the feature's and such, I was going to get the ADV 160, But not after this review. Im thinking about getting this now instead, also you need to make a blog navi navi navi time
Question for you: Is there upgrades we can get for it? Like to soup up the engine ?? :)
I like both the navi and ruckus I like the looks of the ruckus wish it had the 110cc engine the navi comes with
Great video. Thanks!
What about the head lights at nights? Is it bright enough?
Yeah I was pleasantly surprised
I love my Navi Black color.
Woah never seen a black Navi yet 👍
@@bikesandbangs It's beautiful and elegant!
I'm getting a pair of them, you need a motorcycle license above 49cc in most states even though it doesn't have gears correct? I've got one but my buddies doesn't yet, he should be able to ride his on a permit though as long as I'm cruising nearby? Those used to be the rules 40 years ago! Lol
I watched a few Navi reviews and they mentioned all getting around 80 mpg. Was wondering if your mpg is something you personally kept track of or did it take breaking in the engine to get it at 100+
I've been hitting 100mpg from the get go
✨Excellent review. I'm 6'2 and 300 lbs. Would it be OK for me?
Yeah, it'll scoot ya around just fine 👍
I get 55/56 mph as my top speed. Hoping to see 60 with the 12" rear swap
How fast do you think i can go at 220 5'7?
Please review the cf moto Papio and compare
You are funny dude!...lol
the helmet locks?
Six pack of beer is okay?
I’m 5’1 can I still ride this cool bike ?? 👀
I think so 👍
I'm really considering getting one! What the insurance cost you?
I have 3 motorcycles and adding this to my policy dropped it $140 a year. Not sure what this alone would cost. Pry $100 a year
9 dollars a month * progressive insurance .
The center storage unit can fit 12 BEERS 🍺 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Some states don't require MC insurance.
I wish they would make 100cc legal to drive on the road without licence and insurance.
No one should be on the road without insurance or a license. Car or bikes.
Where I live you would definitely be holding up traffic even when the speed limit is only about 70 kph.
Which is a bummer cause I really want one.
Its MPH not KPH so 50 MPH = 80 KPH
Handlebar mounted parking brake, state-of-the-art modern carb with choke, dual drum brakes on 8" alloys (brembos?), unexpected mid chasis storage unit for groceries!! ultra comfortable seat positioning for a 6' pilot and passenger, plastic fork cover, mono-unilateral rear shock, analog dash, and a rarely seen fuel petcock! Unibeliable! I believe there is is current legislation make it illegal with up to a $1500 fine referring to "this" as a "motorcycle". Great beginner scooter for the 10-12 year old with a 2 wheel interest. Outside a campsite, the embarrasment level associate with straddling this would be excessive. Honda absolutely makes great scooters.
Honda Groms are 100000x better
They're definitely better. But if you want more than one bike, it really isn't the best choice because of its price point. I wanted a mini moto and ultimately add a full sized bike. Because the Navi is so damn cheap, I can buy a used Royal Enfield 600 a year or two old with little miles and the remainder of a warranty for the price of a Grom, because they are amazing bikes, but somehow their resale is not like Honda. So basically for less than $7000, you can have a full sized bike and a then mini for screwing around town.
you can get 2 of these and the transmission / tire upgrades for the price of a Grom (transmission upgrade adds 7mph or 11 kph) fatter tires makes it look sick, there is a youtube video on both of these upgrades i think called "best 3 NAVI upgrades."
Guys , Gals you did not even talk about the Fantastic Honda XR150L for a fraction of the costs of a Monkey, Trail ,Cub,Grom,Dax
MSRP of $2971. The Trail probably can't keep up to the XR150L . Add a Big bore kits and you get 75 + mph .
And for the sake of interest check out the New Ford Pinto , some engineers brain spilled out onto the design of this beauty. Wow .
It’s also double the price
The mpg that Honda states is not true in any way shape or form , the best I’ve ever got with mine is 65 mpg on level ground
That's strange, I've gotten 100+ mpg every tank and I am full throttle everywhere
@@bikesandbangs I’m glad you got one of the lucky ones cause your the first one that’s actually getting what they claim so leave it bone stock cause your mileage will go to shit if you change anything Mine is all factory and I’m burning 93 alcohol free fuel with the engine having a low compression ratio 93 not gonna change any thing but I have 0 carb issues if it sits 3 or more months . I hope your mileage stays the same for a long time
@@marcnissen578 run 87 not 93 and you'll get better mileage
@@bikesandbangs I’ve tried both it makes no difference I run the alcohol free just for the soul reason that it doesn’t foul up the carb if it sits for 6 months
