Here's another little sneak peek at my first Custom Mission for the amazing chopper sim DLC for VTOL VR. This is the first half of a mission complete. VTOL VR - AH-94 Operation Kayla Mueller
I've scripted and planned a series of missions based on true to life events which happened in Syria around the kidnapping and murder of an American woman who was there on a mission of peace, a story that the pilot can gunner can now play out as it unfolds.
This is a WIP version of the first mission, titled "In Country"
This is my first run back thru the mission in quite a while, honestly just trying to remember the controls and how to fly and activate the weapons systems.
Unfortunately the main plot point EVENT TRIGGER doesn't trigger correctly as it did before I set the mission aside about a year ago due to a drift in my left controller that's now been fixed, so, this is a WIP version.
All the voice over work was done by my amazing friend, and trained voice actor, Mose, and all the sounds, Hundreds of them, were edited by myself using Audacity. Excellent free software.
I wanted to tell a story with my mission here, and I have to once again thank the DEVs for creating such a robust and amazing mission editor.
I only ask for Civilians, I need that class of character to continue to tell rich stories, and thats a class I need to trigger events, and tell more rich and interesting stories...Please add them.
I will Finally complete these missions, I have others planned.

VTOL VR is by far the best physics I have ever found in a VR sim game, its incredible. It takes a lot of work to get used to it, its touchy as it should be, and requires skill to pull off the control you need to be a functional pilot, but, once you feel that, its impossible to return to the simple controls of other games. My only complaint on VTOL VR is of course the graphics, and it would be a game-changer for the game if there was a complete overhaul of the looks and lighting here, IF it was updated to more modern specs, this game is one any aspiring pilot could be lost in for years.
