She knew exactly what she was capable of doing and didn't even try to do anything more yes it's sad she couldn't sing as powerfully as she once did but there's something special about her voice here that I truly love and I love that even if she can't hit certain notes the little improvisitations and whatnot to cover up the fact she's not belting out a high note for instance in how will I know or I wanna dance with somebody but I prefer this performance to the album version because there's something special here in her voice that I love

I came here after reading a 2016 article that referenced this performance. The writer pointed out how seamlessly Whitney Houston directs the musicians in this medley. The true beauty is that most wouldn't notice, but that's the MAGIC of Whitney Houston. Her voice was so beautiful and overwhelming that we didn't see the true depths of her talent. She was so much more than "The Voice" she knew her craft inside and out and could weave beauty into any song with her unique arrangements. It was this God given instinctual talent and knowledge that allowed her voice to soar.

I love Whitney performances when she’s sick because it shows why she’s the best vocalist ever. When her voice was not at 100% she used her God given skills and technique to get through the notes, and still sound extraordinary. Other singers lower keys or skip notes but not Whitney.

Whitney is the bomb, baby, a class act. Beautiful, talented , beyond words. She will live forever, to her true, fans. No negativity, in comments. She gave ALL her life , pretty much to her public. Toward the end they talked abt, her turn coats. After all she did, she did not leave, this world as said. Folks were paid to say certain things. May she RIP tho. God knows, what , REALLY happened to you. A talk show host mentioned, her dying because of drugs. That's not how she died. Bobby even said when lady, mentioned hter death, he said thats , NOT how she died. Pat Houston was wearng one of her coats, that wasn't given to her. Lot of people turned on her. If you want to know how she really, left here. Look at Leolah Brown, her husband Bobby sister. Tells it ALL. God is watching tho, always.

I remember when this came out, people wondered why no one told her the dress looks great far away but up close you see it has some runs and alot of sequins missing, but it was on whitney so it looked amazing regardless!
I agree! Guess what though, when this show was aired. Critics talked about the dress was disheveled and so was her wig. They were surprised at how well she performed. She hurt their asses! She was amazing and even at her lowest she is better than most of the artists we are left to endure.
