Seems you liked the SB130. I found it to be spot on in geo but the bike was too harsh off the top at proper sag. You did good job on this video. I ended up with an Ibis Ripmo v2. I did a review on it on the channel. Climbs really good for a 147mm 29er and descends so amazing for the rocky chunk here in CO/NM/UT that I ride. Closest I have found to one bike quiver, almost... Happy new to you.
I did demo this bike and loved it! In the end, I got a good deal on a V1 Ripmo which I'm very happy with. What impressed me about the SB130 was how it climbed! I think it even climbed a bit better than the Ripmo which is saying a lot!!
Awesome man, it’s hard to pass up a good deal. Ibis and Rock Mountain are two companies I’d really like to demo but they way to do that I believe to buy them haha...
Appreciate the video. I had my heart so set on a new stump jumper this year but they’re so far on back order that I test rode the Yeti SB 130 today, realizing that getting a new stump jumper is likely out of the picture if I want to ride this season. I’m a bigger guy and riding the Yeti felt good out in the street but I was concerned how it would feel with maneuverability on the trail. The frame is light but the stock tires are a bit heavy. Not noticeable on flat terrain but it had me curious how it would perform on up hill, switchbacks. Have a newfound perspective after watching your video and likely will go back for purchase. Thank you.
Glad the video was able to help you out in some way. I couldn’t believe how comfortable the SB130 felt all around. The harder I pushed it the better it responded. It suits my riding style very well. It felt normal in the parking lot but not till I got on the trails did it really work it’s magic. I have very briefly ridden a newer Stump Jumper but didn’t feel as comfortable as the Yeti.
You should give the SB140 a try. Yes it’s longer and slacker than a 2017 Bronson but honestly feels so much more confident in turns and generates speed effortlessly. It also feels a lot more playful than a Bronson. Honestly I had some reservations about a bike that was 35 mm longer in reach than what I was previously on but after putting a 40mm stem on it it feels perfect.
Most likely your right but I’m looking for something with less travel for my next bike. At the end of the day the SB130 will always be a faster bike for my local trails and have plenty of capability most everywhere I’d take it.
@@mattturnerbikingmtb9359 I will have to check into it. I want the sexy enduro bike but I’m not sure that 90% of my riding supports that much suspension travel. I also have been eyeing the giant trance X
I approach it as ,buy the bike for the rider I’m going to become. Riding location has a lot to do with it but if you start advancing as a rider than you’re more likely to travel to better riding trails too.
I bought the Yeti and haven’t looked back. There’s more videos about it on my channel. Bronson mullet sounds fun but I like to try different stuff so probably won’t go with Santa Cruz again for awhile. Yeti switch infinity all day over VVP 😀
It’s the best bike hands down. My Stumpjumper was a monster, but the SB130 is a Beast on steroids. Owned it for 3 months and never regretted the cost. Sizing is everything on this bike as it is a long bike and it just wants to go.
Wow. What a bike. Very nice edit man. Really some nice information and great point of view.

Very informative bike review Matt.
Glad you thought so Gary
Nice review style

Is there any new features on this 2021 compared to the 2019 model?

Tony has been telling me a yeti might be a good choice for me. I’ve been eyeing a fuel but this is interesting for sure.
You try to demo a few bikes if Team Cyclery is still allowing people to demo.
If I could only have one bike it might be a sb150.

Ha buddy this is basic model yeti130 is there any difference comparing to black stanchions
What coil setup did you have on the bronson that's a very linear frame
The Bronson’s got a rockshox coil on it. I like the way it feels and I’d run a pumpkin for a shock if it felt better.
@@mattturnerbikingmtb9359 No issues bottoming out? You do many big hits or mainly trail riding?
Nice review! Ur on a medium, How tall are you?
Thanks. 5’9
Did you buy this bike?
Thoughts on new mullet Bronson ?
Lastly vpp v yeti system?

@@mattturnerbikingmtb9359 I have a Hightower 2 years now - wondering if the 130 is a great changeup - thx - Great video btw

It really does seem like a well rounded fast bike that you can jump on right away and send! Sad that it was only a demo lol.
