- I review my BMW 328i convertible. What are the goods and not so good points. Is this the best hard top convertible on the market. German engineering and built, BMW 328i is the Driver's car.

I am looking at buying one of these finally, I loved this car growing up. They just don’t make em like this anymore. The one I am eyeing has 40k miles and looks to be in great shape. I think this car is gem.
That colour is beautiful, always liked that paint colour ! Thanks in 2024 - crazy
Did you end up getting it? And if you don’t mind saying how much did you pay?
Just bought one of these i love it
There is a club, a cabal, of old guys like me that own these hardtop convertibles.
I never noticed until I bought one.
I'm casually looking for a retractable hardtop convertible. Thanks for the review. You mentioned the Volvo C70 and VW Eos, but you didn't mention the Lexus SC430 (2002-2010), IS250c and IS350c (2009 - 2015). Mazda also made a few retractable hardtop miatas in the NC and ND series. And the Infinity G37 and Q60 also had a few convertibles. Even at 10 to 15 years old these retractable hardtop convertibles still command a premium price. It's not uncommon to see a used lexus SC430 still cost over 20,000 dollars, but it is definitely a luxury cruiser rather than a sports car.
Volvo, VW and BMW are more 2+2 convertible. Those were my top 3.
@@CountryCoachGuy what not lexus or Infiniti?
@@tientrinh943 I prefer the German cars I guess.
Thinking of purchasing a 2012 BMW 328i Convertible with 106k miles. Has Pirelli tires on it and service records, seems to be garage kept.
I am not afraid of higher mileage. Well maintained car should do 200k easy.
How much
How much
@@CountryCoachGuy 328i's from that era can easily pass 250k with little to no issues.
My friend has one at 289k miles and all he does to it is replace the consumables like breaks, oil/fluids, tires; spark plugs and coils etc.
My 2012 has 55,000
Hello, great review! I am wondering what your thoughts are on the safety of this vehicle in terms of accidents with the top down. Thank you very much.
With the seat belt on, I think you would be ok. Structure of the whole car is very sturdy and I would guess that crumbling of the main shell would be minimum.
The rear headrests have a pair of roll protection bars that are deployed automatically within fractions of a second in the event of an accident, a critical driving situation, an extreme tilt in the car's longitudinal axis or upon loss of ground contact.
is this car reliable ? I am looking into purchasing one
Hi! I just purchased one yesterday and found that the steering is really hard. Have you found that to be the case for you as well?
Yeah it's a heavy car. Takes a few weeks to get used to
Yep I have one and was shoking hard! But you get used to
Lol I thought mine was impossible to turn at first but that’s how it is. Very heavy steering wheel
Might need some CHF, mine was real stiff at first too but once the power steering fluid was changed couple times the steering is much easier.
Ok thanks 4 advice cause I just got 1 yesterday and was wondering why is it so hard to turn
This is my car!! Same color
Good night Sr , a question . Is it true that these cars ( this exact model ) break up regularly , especially when they reach the 100 000 miles ? , some people had told me that after they reach the 100 000 miles its sensors and electrical parts start giving problems , I would like to buy one of these , thanks
We didn't have any issues with the car so, that's all I can say.
@@CountryCoachGuy , thank you, Sr
Have you ever had any problems with the hard top? Motor issues or leaking?
no, not even with our newer 2015 428ix convertible.
Might possibly be getting one of these (09) version and black, I’m 50/50 on it lol, is it a head catcher? I’m 21 and looking for a sporty car to drive
Is this direct injection engine?
What is the engnie size?
Believe your color is Bluewater Metallic
The iDrive system is a joke. I am replacing it with an Android Auto head unit.
Cup holders are very weak and sort of dangerous.
