- [KiniNews] The Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) will determine whether a logo, which appears on the sole of several of Vern's footwear models, is Arabic writing for the word "Allah" or just a graphic design of a shoe.
This is according to Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain, who told a press conference this morning that police are liaising with Jakim in its investigation into the latest religious controversy.
“Jakim’s report is crucial,” he said in Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysian budget 2024: Goverment allocated RM1.9 bilion for Islamic development. Setting up agencies such as Jakim ; to perform these "investigations"? As a Muslim, we dont need that much money to practice our religion or "Develop" it. It's available & its free. I rather have those funds allocated to helping fellow Malaysians in need instead. Please stop using religion as a coverup or a political play. Its very unislamic.
