Surge Staff is the comfiest staff to use for single target damage assuming you have a good melee weapon to handle mixed hordes.

Ive never tried the surge staff with the rightside skilltree keystone (i forget what its called).
Im always using the left side keystone for the lesser peril generation per stack and increased damage per stack.

Right side is disrupt destiny. It has a similar damage output to warp charges but has the advantage of not having to start over on ability use. It also gives a temporary movement speed bonus on killing an enemy marked by it. Basically in exchange for a bit slower quelling and less shriek spam I get a more consistent damage base while getting occasional bursts of movement speed.

People hate on kinetic flayer but it works and its especially silly with purgatus

@@infrared6973 The main problem with it being on Purgatus is sometimes it hits targets you dont want it too.

@@KillerOrca well yeah but it also kills crushers and maulers and ragers. Its not about it accidentally killing some trash zombie I dont care about its the fact that you are spamming left click so much with a purgatus staff its bound to proc on dangerous targets and it does all game.

@@KillerOrca its useful but some would say not worth the point. I usually run kinetic resonance for faster bb but flayer definitely has its uses.
