Wise choice to avoid Oia for the sunset. We saw it from there in June a few years ago and it seemed that half the world was there. Excellent video; many thanks!
Thank you for all the information and specially for the plant based restaurant details. I'm planning our trip and I was a little worried about finding options beyond the typical salad. :-)
If you guys decide to come back to Greece one day I'd recommend going around the Peloponeese. Its much cheaper in comparison, filled with less tourists, has a ton of history, is easy to get around and overall is one of the best places in Greece! Nafplio, Monemvasia, Elafonisos island, Kalamata, Voidokilia beach, Mani, Sparta, etc. Glad you enjoyed the country!
@@peterstamatiou4530 thanks so much. We loved Greece so much, we will definitely be back 😍 our dream is to be able to sail around the Greek islands and explore some of the best kept secrets, so thanks for sharing! Glad to hear we weren’t far off with the blue and white painted houses! 🙌🏼😂
Thanks Jess, glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, we would recommend Milos or Kos if you want more laidback vibes. You can find our videos here: th-cam.com/play/PLG1C4bCQPtTMv87frkgYaH5C0x8gxHO0X.html

I always skip parts in travel vlogs but you guys kept my attention in every second on this video. I loved the tips and how you give a historical background and informations. Hope I enjoy Milos and Santorini as you guys did. Question: is it ok to walk in Satorini or should I rent something? I'm staying for 3 days probably. Btw, If I were you I'd travel to Brazil to explore the nature. it's as beautiful as Greece :p
Hi Lucas! Thanks for the lovely comment 🙏🏼❤️ we would absolutely love to visit Brazil! One day hopefully 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 to answer your question, we would definitely recommend to hire a vehicle to explore, if you don’t have a licence or don’t want to drive you can take buses or book yourself onto a tour 😉
It is a wonderful island. I wish we had more time there! And yes scooters are fun but can be dangerous too 😂 we had a wee accident at the end of our time in Milos 😬

@@katarzynamuszynska5426 hi there! Thanks for watching 😁 yes! You do need a driving licence for the scooters. They are quite strict on this actually. They were asking for a motorcycle licence too, luckily I have one! We did also go to Kos and Milos and absolutely loved them both. Blue and white in Greece because it's the color of the Greek flag. Popular during Ottoman occupation when flying the Greek flag was forbidden. Also, yes...the white reflects the heat and the sun.
@@cjexplores I guess this color scheme was adopted from the flags used historically by the Greeks dating back to the 1800s until today's flag design which acquires the same colors.
🌹🥀May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." Also, can I share Isaiah 53:5 " But HE was WOUNDED For our TRANSGRESSIONS, he was BRUISED for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His STRIPES we are HEALED." God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin. Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) and stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?

Also ab the theories as to why the houses are white, the last one is most accurate. But all have some level of truth to them

Amazing travel vlog. Did you need a motorbike license to rent the scooter?
They did ask, but I’m not sure it was mandatory. They were more just worried that I knew how to drive 🤔 thanks for the love Natalie!

Another theory regarding the colors white and blue is that they represent the Greek flag
True true! What came first though, the flag or the colour scheme???

o
too touristy; besides the waitors... where are the greeks?
There were only Greek people we met, running the businesses such as rental companies, hotels, restaurants…
