Aged 75 next month I remember watching the Twelfth with me mum.
You had to fight your way through the ranks of people to ‘see the Orangemen as they pass by’.
You certainly could not break their ranks! That was very frowned upon.
This year so many lengthy gaps in the parade. I’m saddened.
Waiting for my da to come back from ‘The Field’ I remember a guy beating a bass drum with his bare fists - the blood flowing down his arms.
I was very young.
Such passion.

Not one pipe band lots of pipe bands now are competition bands so up to a fair standard ! Its sll flute bands I suppose easy to learn compared to The Great Highland bagpipe. 😊🇬🇧👍
