Stephanie I enjoy your videos and am planning to start a garden. I am disabled and my husband’s job went out of business in August so we are so bare when it comes to money. We have less than 30 percent of what the two of us earned when we both worked before 2021. We also have taken custody of one of our grandchildren. I will have to start the old fashioned way but I want to keep following you. Prayers for all your team help be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Oh my, I'm so sorry to hear of this snag in your helping John. You are so dedicated to the people in your community and to have their needs to be fulfilled. Thank you ❤
Super Steff is what you are. We're all undergoing big changes atm. At least the old ruling structures are coming down... just remember you need to get through the shit now floating to the top to get to the other side. ...2025 will be a year to remember folks Love to Y'all ❤
Steffanie, thank you for the update. Praying for the situations & projects you mentioned, praying blessings upon you in the midst of trials. Jeremiah 29:11
I love your focus on healthy food growing. I have hydroponics shelves with tubs I got reasonably. It's not that expensive and you can make grow box with peanut butter jars in your window. Lots of cool stuff you can do to grow on a budget.
I'm trying a little countertop unit (2nd hand) for greens and basil. If I keep that up, I'll look into doing something a little less "Easy Bake Oven". Thanks for the impulse and the start!
Nearly 20 years ago, a neighbor couple who visited Starbucks several times a week finally took the time to add up their receipts over a several months period and discovered they were spending an average of $400 per month at Starbucks on coffee and muffins!! That's $5,000 PER YEAR at little old Starbucks, which is ridiculous. And that was 20 years ago. Thank goodness I'm old enough to have a mental block regarding spending stupid amounts of money on coffee I can make at home for a fraction of the price.
I guess if you can afford it, go for it but I've never had that much extra money. It's just too bad they are supporting Starbucks instead of a family owned mom and pop shop.
Yeah, I have done this with people and they are so shocked when they realize not just the amount but realizing all that money went to making them sick.
Those growing systems are amazing-expensive at first but wow you can grow & grow on & on. I have to buy groceries at Rite Aid right now $9 for a dozen eggs!
Yeah. It’s only going to get worse too which is why I’m diving deep into helping people grow in any way they can! $9 is insane and “bird flu” is just getting started.
Seasonal depression is a very real thing. We need to find some happy every day! We can’t be doom and gloom every single day. Glad to see you got your roots done today, that’s a good thing :) and John almost has his shed, soon! That’s good too. Stay warm. Show us your pantry when you get the chance. Your sconces etc. Blessings for tomorrow
You're such an encouragement! Yes, the towers are expensive- I looked at them. But it's like-- instead of buying that Louie Vuitton bag- (in my old, former manner of living when I really couldn't afford it anyway) and buy a couple of those food growing towers! We live in a city, are elderly and can't really even use a shovel to dig a garden, and besides we don't trust the quality if the soil so these towers are something to seriously consider. We are noticing the quality of the supermarket food declining more and more. Watching and listening to you is motivating. 🙏💝For you and your helpers and the work you are doing. 🙂I agree, that bunch of greens would've made a magnificent wedding bouquet!
I used to be the same with fancy things! I'm so glad those things don't matter to me anymore. Our stores are the worst. Right now organic kiwi are circulating but that's about all that was worth even buying.
Some of my favorite salty treats, I make every fall. Thinly sliced zucchini, cucumbers and tomatoes soaked in a brine of Redmond mineral salt and water, let them soak 2 days in the fridge then pat dry, place in the dehydrator and dry till crispy at 115°-120°f. Bag em and enjoy all winter!
My heart ❤ aches for ya'll. I know how hard ya'll have been working on getting sheds out to those in need.😔 God is overseeing it all....continue trusting in His guidance. ✝️ On a happy note, we were able to get 2 cold frame gardens going this past weekend....2 types of lettuce, arugula, and bok choy. I hope to start in the greenhouse soon. I have baby tomato🍅 plants coming up along with some plants we brought in from the garden area, etc. I am looking forward to getting my Rareseeds catalog any day now. I have an insane on-line dream order in my cart that will have to be drastically scaled back as we need new tires for 2 vehicles along with a starter for one.😵💫 I did purchase some seeds last week from a local farmer's exchange and hope to continue planting them over the next few weeks. We are due for possible snow Friday/Saturday.❄️😊
I just came home from the community pantry and have the food put away. I see some things I’ll can and some I’ll dehydrate using a friends 2 small dehydrators. Snow is moving in so drying outside is out for the next few days. Daytime high is 33 this afternoon. I hope this crazy cold spell doesn’t get too bad there. It Brings back memories of my last big move. I moved three sheds to my primary land

It's a permanent solution for him. They're going to put the two together with a walkthrough "hall" type passage.. he campers are hard to keep warm and dry. The sheds can be heated during the winter, insulated and keep the rain out. Campers and RVs tend to present leaks.
Those two sheds will be connected and will be his permanent home. The camper is in BAD shape and he shouldn't be staying in there. Not to mention he hasn't had a shower or bathroom in 3 months.

For some reason I'm not seeing the LED Lights for the Harvest Wall 🤔 ? How long has the HW been up & going? (Hope I'm calling it the rt name). And has the HW already been totally cleaned/sanitized, or will that be in warm weather when the towers are able to carry the load of producing mass food(I'm guessing)? Another question - I know all your towers are huge, however I have 6 indoor counter top Aero Garden hydroponic units, and I've noticed that if there is too much space between the seedling & grow basket, that the light causes the sponge or pod to get algae really bad on the top of the sponge pod where the seedling comes through, so I cut circles of foil to place around the seedling stems & on top of the label(like the man on Aero Garden Experiments does😉), and block out as much light as possible. I noticed when you picked up some of your seedlings, it appeared to have algae(?) On it. Was that the case or was it somethg else ? And does it affect the growth ?
Algae is totally normal for hydroponics and can't be avoided. I have had the harvest wall going since late October. The lights roll out of the way so I had moved them over. I have never had to clean it. I think once every 6 months, in warm weather, I'll roll it outside and pressure wash it.
