Absolutely love these type of videos and Steve is by far the best and most knowledgeable presenter there is. He is clear, concise and to the point. Not one wasted word. 10 outta 10!

Went to go replace the Shepards Hook in my M70 because I was told it was one of the best cheap upgrades and noticed it already had a retaining plate in there from the factory. I still replaced it with a stainless steel melonite one but was unaware that companies were putting these in out of the factory now.

I use water and G96 complete gun cleaner. I'm use a high power drying fan. I was thinking if these rifles go under water and come out shooting in war and the water is more contaminated.
    Then tap should be fine.
Great video thanks for salt education. only thought lead residue.👍

The real question is, what is the exact model of this beautiful firearm?

it looks like the Polish variant of the Type 3 milled receiver AK-47, known in Polish service as the "KbK AK".

Just disolving them in water? Nothing added?

If I shoot non corrosive ammo, do I need to soak them in water?

    • @CountryWolf_TX
      @CountryWolf_TX 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

No. Water dissolves the salt produced by the corrosive ammunition.

I'm surprised he goes back and forth with the rod, down the barrel. As opposed to one way....

Last time I used an aerosol cleaner on an AK, some of it touched the wood furniture and severely stained it

What diameter pipe cleaner do you use. Amazon has 4mm and 6mm.

If by "pipe cleaner" you mean barrel, I would recommend 7.62mm or 30 cal.

look at your gas port and determine which one. I use 4mm for my vz58

I notice something that he cleaned the barrel from the front of the rifle which isn't recommended!

  • @elitetrader5468

Lol, cleaning the gas tube makes zero sense. You don't clean the gas tube on an AR so you don't need to clean one on an AK. It is self cleaning with each shot.

Do not pull back the the rod. You only push the rod ..take the jag out and repeat the process. Obviously this dude is doing it wrong. I pity the fool
